Hi Again Fab Free’rs! I call this look “when it’s laundry day but you still wanna look cute for Easter.” hahaha Really, I had a lot of fun with a few more finds from The Rotten Egg Hunt, and this fun “Need Laundry” pose by DANU. I picked up this cute top at The Rotten Egg Hunt, it’s by Secret Oktober. Also while at The Rotten Egg Hunt I picked up a really pretty crescent shaped bindi by Valika Rituals. The Pose – This fun laundry pose is a Marketplace find by DANU. It’s just 37 linden and it includes a pose-ball pose, and the laundry basket prop. The basket comes white, but I tinted it darker. I also needed to shrink it down to fit between Pru’s hand and hip, which was easy to in edit mode since the basket does not have any scripts. Have fun, and do your laundry!

The Top – Secret Oktober has 5 versions of this cropped bunny sweater at The Rotten Egg Hunt. I was excited to find the number 5 egg and get the bunny with the spider. It felt a little bit like Easter and a little bit like Halloween, which suits my exceedingly eclectic tastes. lol These tops are just 10 linden each, and come in a Maitreya fit only.

The Bindi – This pretty little bindi by Velika Rituals is one of the dollarbie Rotten Egg Hunt prizes. At just 1 linden, it is way too nice to pass up. I’m loving accessories that are free of scripts like this one, sometimes simple really is best. You can resize, and even change the color of this bindi by using the edit menu. Just don’t forget to make a copy first!

Happy When it Rains

Hi Fab Free! Thank you for being here. Have you noticed all the hunts happening? It seems to me there are quite a few. I did a little bit of the Save Earth Hunt, and wanted to share two of the gifts with you. The Save Earth Hunt is a grid-wide dollarbie hunt. Each prize is just 1 linden, and the hunt object is a pink rosebud. The dress, and the animated umbrella Pru is having a ball with are both 1 linden SEH prizes. Keep reading for all the extra information!

The Umbrella – I thought this fun umbrella prop by Orphic for the Save Earth Hunt was just too cute to not share with you. It comes in a day version (shown) and a night version (not shown). By clicking the handle of the umbrella you can turn the rain particle effect on or off. Clicking the top part of the umbrella will let you start or stop the animated pose. This playful hunt prize is just 1 linden, so don’t miss out!

The Dress – The patchwork and denim sundress Pru has on is by Freda. This style dress just screams happy warm sunshine days in my opinion. Also, I think it would be just as cute with almost any type of shoe you wanted to wear with it. The dress is another dollarbie Save Earth Hunt prize. It is mesh and comes in quite a few sizes. Hunting at Ostara

Hello Fabulous Fab Free’rs! Thank you as always for being here. The Ostara’s Altar event just recently started, and part of the event includes a 5 linden hunt. Each of the shops has an Ostara Hunt egg hidden somewhere on the event grounds. The term hidden should be used loosely though, considering many of the shops have placed their egg within plain sight. A few shops also have multiple hunt prizes. Each of these hunt gifts will cost you a mere 5 linden. For this post I picked out three of the many prizes to share with you. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Floral Headband – There’s something inherently springtime about flowers in your hair. Since Ostara is in spring, this floral headband by Oubliette makes the perfect accessory. It’s their 5L hunt item at the Ostara’s Altar event. There are no scripts, so it’s also low-lag, and it’s mod so it can be manually sized.

Nose Stud – The little spiked nose-stud Pru is wearing is another 5L Ostara’s Altar hunt prize. This one is by Neverwish, and it comes with a silver version, and the “galaxy” version that is shown. This piercing also appears to be free of scripts and can be manually sized.

Earrings – I love the delicate look of these gold earrings by PKC which stands for Purrrrfect Kitties Creations. They too are another of the many 5 linden Ostara’s Altar hunt prizes. These earrings do have resize scripts that allow you to custom fit them. The script even includes a poser to help your avatar stand still without the need of a pose stand.

Hellooo Fab Free! I missed you! I had a busy weekend and just a busy February in general, but it has been good and productive so I can’t complain. As February begins to come to an end, so do most of the February hunts. One such hunt is the Cupid’s Crush Hunt. This adorable little tank top by Ghee is one of the Cupid’s Crush Hunt prizes. As Jolly As I Get

Hello Again Fab Free’rs! I’m always glad you’re here. So I kind of don’t want to admit it, but this sweater by Oubliette suits me so well. *laughs* Not that I don’t get excited, but I’m rarely one to get super outwardly excited. So I could be totally thrilled about something and not express it the way most would expect. This sweater is one of 2 group gifts I picked up today, the second being a 300 linden gift card at Go&See which I used to get this skin for free. This gift includes a color/texture change hud that will let you choose from preset metallic color choices for 3 parts of the earrings. Also, the same hud will allow you to resize them. Waiting for The Great Pumpkin

Hello again Fab Free’rs! Thanks for being here. Just like Linus, Pru finds a pumpkin patch to wait in for The Great Pumpkin to appear. Maybe one day he’ll actually appear! This particular pumpkin patch complete with little twinkle lights and pumpkin blossoms is a 10 linden Pumpkin Hunt prize by Lunaria at the Fall Festival for Parkinson’s. Each of the stores has a 10 linden pumpkin, and there are additional pumpkins in the shop booths outside. Most if not all the proceeds from the sales of the pumpkins will go to help fund research for Parkinson’s. I can’t think of a better reason to spend 10 lindens!

Along with the dreamy pumpkin patch prize, Pru picked up this cute coffin dress from Grumble. It’s a single strap dress with a spooky cute coffin pattern on the top. The dress is in the 10 linden pumpkin from Grumble at the Fall Festival. It comes in the following sizes: Maitreya Lara, Slink Physique, eBody Curvy, Tonic Fine, Tonic Curvy, Belleza (Freya, Isis, Venus).

Fab Free Designer of the Day – 09/22/2018 – The Beautiful Ones

Happy Weekend Fab Free’rs and welcome back to the blog! I’m glad you’re here, and always happy to be here myself. This week’s edition of Designer of the Week is all about The Beautiful Ones. I know that sounds like you guys, doesn’t it?! Really though, The Beautiful Ones is a ladies clothing brand that has been an established part of Second Life for quite some time now. I would describe their style of clothing as cute, casual, and relate-able. You will find some dressier items, but most of the clothes are the everyday type. Cute outfits and dresses you’d want to wear often.

One of the things that stands out about The Beautiful Ones for me, are their gifts. You can almost always guarantee that a TBO gift will be in their “signature” shade of dark teal blue. Right now there are two The Beautiful Ones store group gifts in the before mentioned shade of teal. The TBO group is currently just 25 linden to join. There are also two Midnight Madness boards, one requires The Beautiful Ones group tag, and the other is open for everyone (no tag needed). Lastly, but never least, there is a table with a hand-full of gifts. I think you’ll notice right away the colorful Fabulously Free in SL group joiner on the wall. You guessed it, these gifts are the gifts by The Beautiful Ones for other store-associated groups like Fab Free. Fortune’s Fool

Hello Fab Free’rs! It’s my favorite time of year. The weather starts to get cooler, the leaves turn, and Halloween is just around the corner. I can tell from these playful if mildly occult themed gifts from the Garden of Shadows event that many of the designers in Second Life are getting into that magical mystical spirit of the season as well. At the current round of Garden of Shadows many of the participating designers put out at least one, sometimes several, 10 linden gifts. There’s no need to join a group or wear a tag to purchase these event cheapies. While shopping the event I saw 10 linden gifts for the ladies, gifts for the gentlemen, unisex items, and even some home goods. I picked out three of the gifts to share with you, I hope you like them!

The Top – It’s no mistake that these Garden of Shadows event gifts I chose to share have a slight fortune telling theme to them. I’ve always had a fascination with the other worldly and mystical. This top is from a shop called Shinu Made. This mini crop top has a fun, macabre Ouija board print complete with dancing skeletons. It comes in three mesh sizes, and is just 10 linden.

The Necklace – The flat black kitty cat necklace Pru is wearing is another 10 linden gift at the Garden of Shadows shopping event. This one is from a shop called ProFect. It does not have any scripts, which makes it a low lag accessory, and it can be manually resized.

The Crystals – I think these Divination Crystals from Melt are a really fun, beautiful accessory/prop. They spin and rotate as if propelled by magic. This Garden of Shadows gift is also just 10 linden. Along with the spinning animation, they have their own hold pose to complete the effect. Also included is a color change hud for the crystals that gives you 8 color options.
