I Will Remember You

I have been routinely checking what is going on at Free Dove… I got some inside intel that the store will remain up “about another month” until it poofs. However, I suggest you go as soon as possible because you never know when it will be formally taken down, and they have some brand new gifts out at Free Dove since I last posted about the freebie outlet. Just join the Free Dove group for free to get the gifts. I just had to share these two gifts because they are stunning…

• E.D.D.A. has set out a brand new gift for us in their designer booth. The gift is a fancy top & plaid skirt in green, perfect for the month of March. The set fits Legacy, Reborn, Kupra, Isis, Freya and Lara.
• Spells & Charms to Go has set out a new free gift which you can grab near the front of the store near where Tastic has the memorial tops set out, which Aline previously blogged right here. This new gift is a beautiful necklace dedicated to remembering Free Dove. The necklace comes in gold and silver and it’s a must-have for your inventory.

I am still sad to see this place go, but what a wonderful way to remember the amazing contributions Free Dove made to Second Life in the last 17 years.

Rest in Peace, My Baby Boy

Ok FabFree… this post is about to get emotional. In this post, I will be talking about loss and grief so be prepared for that before reading.  Last month, I lost my beloved furbaby in real life. It was heartbreaking for me, as I had an incredibly special and close bond with my cat. It really broke me in half, but I have been working through my grief.  Apparently, there have been a lot of people in SL lately who have lost their cats and other pets in recent times. For those of you out there who may be going through this, just know you are not alone. I will never forget him as long as I live in both worlds and I will love him until the day I die.

Little Angels

The incredible creator Dalriada Delwood of MOoH! created a set of  “ghost” kitties for those of us who have lost our cats. I thought it was so beautiful that MOoH! came out with these, as it is a lovely little reminder of my beloved little guy who I can carry with me around SL. There are a variety of types of cats available in this set. At Next Up, you can play to win an angelic cat in different colourings and breeds for only 50L per play. This Next Up set was made for all of us who lost our furbabies. I always feel so touched and warm when creators make things like this for us. I decided to get the fatpack and pay off some of the amount with the giftcard because I loved all the colour and pattern options available so much. I got the fatpack for about 50% off by doing this.

The Tats

Most of the tattoos include different levels of opacity to wear the tattoos in BOM layers (50%, 75% and 100%). • Under my butt and above my thighs there is also a really pretty decorative tattoo I got as a group gift at Carol G.

Before the Access anniversary event closes in four days (July 8th), I had to show you all the great free items they have that fit Lelutka EvoX heads exclusively:

Beach Gear Here!

inMOTION is running a great event this month. It’s their first hunt and it’s called the Underwater Hunt. All of the hunting takes takes place on this sim. All of the prizes on this hunt are free and no group join is required to get them! This hunt ends at the end of June (no specific date is given).

Hunting Underwater

When you arrive, make sure to check out the sign at the landing point. When you click it, you will receive a notecard with clues to help you find the prizes. Next, head down the sandy stairs to the dock. Here you will see all the prizes rezzed out so you can check out which ones you want to hunt for. After that simply dip down and start hunting! The hunt is entirely underwater; all prizes are under the sea. Note that you have to be very close to the hunt object to receive it, and if you try to teleport to locations you will be sent back to the landing point. The hunt object you are looking for are little treasure chests, and they have the name of the designer on them. From what I could see, 10 designers are participating in this hunt including Beauty Factory, The Mesh Shop, ATrium, Belzebubble, Warm Animations, N4RS, Fundati, inMOTION, Maoli, and Steelhead. A couple designers have more than 1 hunt prize out, but it’s not exactly clear how many prizes are available from those offering more than one.

I am featuring the following prizes from the hunt in my post today;

• The Sea Boss Jet Ski by The Mesh Shop is my favourite prize from the hunt, which you can see behind me on my beach home. It’s rideable and can be rezzed on the water.
• The Beach Blanket is the prize from Warm Animations. This item has great animations that incorporate objects like water bottle, cellphones, and sunscreen. You can change the pattern of the blanket using the menu when you sit on it.
• The Beach Chair is the prize from ATrium which includes PG animations. You can change the pattern of the blanket using the menu when you sit on it.
• The cute flip flops are the free prize from Belzebubble. These come in a full fatpack that allow you to change the colours of each part of the item. They are perfect for summer! These fit Maitreya, Reborn, Kupra, and Legacy.

Jurassic Worlds

I am all about the fandoms and blockbuster franchises today. You may remember my rantings about the Peter Pan universe earlier this morning. As it turns out, I am a way bigger nerd and enjoy more fandoms than just Harry Potter, which I have blogged about many times in the past. Well, this posts’ obsession is Jurassic Park! I’m actually going to head out to enjoy the latest Jurassic World: Dominion movie later tonight for the big date night of the week! For some reason, this scene Caroline is in reminds me of that universe, but it’s too bad I didn’t have any scary dinos backing me up. Hopefully, I can do a scary post one day with them, although the way I pictured my SL photography and dinosaurs is that they would look too cute to look like they are ready to eat humans. SL just has a way of making all creatures seem adorable. Anyways… let’s just say my brain is on all things related to Raptors, T-Rexes, and rocky parks with waterfalls because I just had a Jurassic Park movie marathon this week.

A Dome for the Ages

The last find I have to share today is what I used to create my scene for my photo today. This is one scene you can create from the skydome by Anna Erotica. You will find it for only 10L on the Marketplace. This is a huge skydome that allows you to change the colours of the sky and ground by touching it, and it is only 11 prims. The item does not have modify permissions, although many of their other products do. I absolutely love this creator. In fact, I live in one of their massive 15 prim “Palm Beach” skyboxes most of the time and it takes up virtually no space in my prim allotment. Their stuff is so low prim and afordable! I love the textures, scenes, and skies in their builds. For example, they have a 1 prim skybox home for only 1L here which is spacious, and it includes full modify permissions. You can find more 75L and under on their Marketplace here. Be warned that this is an adult store, so you will come across adult items in their shop if you explore further, but in this post, I have only linked general-rated items.
