I really do consider myself quite a casual type of gal.  Although I really adore high fashion, it’s outside of my wheelhouse to look glam and fancy often, but there are times that call for it, and a gorgeous group gift is one of those times!

Wellllllllll, you all thought you may have caught me, but I made my great escape!  I haven’t lived this long without picking up some very clever tricks along the way 😉  and maybe a mean right hook.

Jailbird?

So, this outfit isn’t really a prison outfit, but I’ve mentioned before how much I love stripes, and these stripes were one of the textures in the hud, and here we are.  This outfit, the Onix set, is a group gift from Soliac.  It’s a sweat suit of sorts, with a corset. A full fatpack for the top/pants/corset too.   Fashion is a product of one’s creativity after all!  No group is needed for this gift, but it will cost you 1L to pick up 😉  Now I want you to listen very carefully to what I say here:  *DO NOT CLICK AND BUY THE JEWELRY*  For some reason it’s got some crazy 7949L price attached to it, and I know we get click happy, so be very VERY careful when buying these gifts.  There’s also tattoos on the wall, these are each 200L.  The ONLY gifts that are dollarbies are the 3 outfits on the wall.  That being said, it comes in these sizes:

I accessorized this outfit with some tattoos I picked up at Vezzo Ink.  I don’t fully recall if this was one of the group gifts (there are many) or if I won this from the MM boards (there are 3) but you need to join the free group for both the gifts and the boards.  The tattoos come with appliers and BOM in 3 different transparencies.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a big jailbreak without some damage, so I roughed myself up a bit with some of the free gifts on Izzie’s gift wall.  This Bloody Nose (right or left) and Little Scratches are both free gifts, for both SLUV and EvoX.  You can find them on the backside of the wall, behind the desk, with the other freebies.

The other day, I blogged about the Madpea hunt, and I’ve often said I really enjoy them because they take me to places on the grid I’ve never seen.  One of my stops on that hunt was to .E l e i. and I found a whole bunch of gifts on the wall, and the group is free.  I used those gifts to accessorize my gown.  My eye shadow, lipstick and pearl choker were all gifts I found there.  The eye make up comes in BOM for Genus only and in appliers for Evo X and Genus.  The lipstick comes in appliers for Genus and EvoX.   The Nadia choker comes with a full color and metal hud.

One last thing – I didn’t blog anything from the anniversary round of FaMESHed, but I did add this headband gift from Belle Epoque to my look.  It’s simple and glamourous and comes with a full FP color hud.  You need to join the FaMESHed group before you can land on the cam sim with the gifts, but once you do, all those gifts are free.  It’s open until May 27th.

Yo!  I got a mix of free gifts to show you guys today, and even got a little make over in the process, so let’s start there!

Make Me Over

*** I typed this post 3 days ago and metaHumano was free, and there was a male and female skin available as a group gift.  They’ve since moved, and put out more skin gifts, but also created a VIP group which is 300L to join.  The SLURLS are updated as is the cost in the credits.   Apologies. ***

MetaHumano was a new to me skin store I learned about over the holidays when Lelutka did their 12 days of Christmas gifting event.  I’ve been in the group ever since, but admittedly hadn’t tried their group gift skin until now.  Crazy old me, cuz this skin is fantastic.  The Pablo skin has some Hispanic flair, as does the facial hair I’m wearing that’s included with the gift, but as you can see, I could also be very Roman, just look at that nose 😉   MetaHumano is free to join and they make female skin as well, and there’s a group gift available for each body type right now.

I didn’t stop there, though.  I was helping someone in chat find some free hairbases and came across the motherload, and some of them can be used with female bodies also.  Head over to Eaglelux, and join the group for free and pick them up.  There’s also a really cool shaved base that would look great for both sexes!  This one I’m wearing today is the Tristan hairbase, a great short look.

Dress Me Up

We’ve talked a bit about KiKiKaiKai and how generous they are, and we weren’t kiddin’!  If you guys head over to the Alpha event, you’ll find these awesome double layered denim pants in the KiKiKaiKai booth, in 6 different colors and they’re all free!  (They could be 1L, or 1L refunded but it won’t let me buy them again to double check).  They come in black with white, black on white, black on black and black on various shades of denim.  They’re all sized for:

Well Fabbies, it’s that time again, time for one of the most fun and awesome free hunts on the grid, The Second Life Syndicate Scoop-N-Score Hunt!

I used the formal name, of course, because I have moments of refinement, but get me around the chatters in-world, and it’s affectionately known as The Poop Hunt!  (or the Scoop the Poop Hunt, or any variation you can come up with yourself. lol)

This hunt features loads of 💩 you can scoop right into your inventory and each one has a free prize.  I scooped a lot of 💩 and came home loaded!  You can even buy golden scoopers on the poster for 0L when you land.  These are just a few things I brought home:

• Free Face Implants by Drunken Brokkr (clean and rusty version)
• Free BOM Eye Make up by Rubedo

So many different stores are in this hunt, so the prizes are a mix of cyber stuffs, clothing, cosplay, steampunk, darkness, furniture, glamour – just a whole mix of things!  There’s some prizes for both male and female bodies too.  I tried to put together a cyber look, because my 2 favorite things in this hunt are the face implants and the body shines 😉  Of course, my recharging pose covered the face implants somewhat, so you’ll have to go scoop them yourselves.

Each store that’s participating in the hunt may also have some sale items for you in their store.  You can access the website HERE which will tell you which stores are participating, and how many hunt items they have and if there’s a sale in their store.

Just head down into the sewer, and look for the 💩.  Buy each one for 0L.  Use your tricks if you have them, as the sewers are long and winding and you’ll easily get lost.  There’s some rest areas, and apparently this year, some escape hatches to take you back to the landing spot.  The Scoop-N-Score Hunt is open from May 1-May 31st.

Random post today, Fabs – because I seemingly found random gifts, and who doesn’t love those?

I was wandering Dubai (open April 20-May 15) grabbing demos and shopping, when I came across 2 free gifts in booths at the event.  I nabbed them, because of course I did, and then used some older and previously blogged free items to go with them.

There’s more than ‘just’ shopping at Dubai.  This month, Dubai has a give-away contest for a Legacy Pin-Up Bombshell body!  Join the free Dubai group and activate your tag, and then hit the poster on the wall.  I wish we could all win 😉  While you have your tag activated, you can search out these gifts (one needs the Dubai group, one does not).

In addition, there’s a random gift giver at Dubai.  The gift giver sends out a backdrop to one person wearing the free Dubai tag every 5 minutes.  Potential free gifts just for window shopping?  Yes please!

I noticed a box in brown wrapping at the Blonde Queen booth at Dubai.  I clicked it wearing my tag and this lovely Dark Flowers Top was inside.  It comes in 2 different black floral textures and is sizes for:
