Sometimes life gets us down. And that’s ok. As long as we don’t give up, we’re not out. This little scene I found today at Urban City was called is called The Stranded Pack Rat. Today I am wearing this cute little dress and coordinating sandals from KaiDesign. The dress is the L$15 item. It includes the dress and a modesty piece and is fit for Freya, Hourglass, Lara/Petite and Legacy.
The matching sandals are rigged for Freya, Hourglass, Lara, Legacy, Physique and Venus bodies. You can change the metal grommets on the sides that the laces go through. This color/print of the sandals are the exclusive item for the event.

Today I am bringing two items from Fabulously Free’s Birthday Event. The first is this beautiful set of bow jewelry that I am wearing and the second is the cheerful flower field I’m standing in. The bow jewelry that I am wearing are all from Beloved Jewelry by Kimbra McMillan. If you have never seen Beloved Jewelry, you are in for a treat. The amount of detail and customization options that go into her work is incredible. Let me break these down for you:
The spine piercings are actually part of the Miix 69L Sale, and are at her mainstore. I added them because I thought they would really finish the look. It fits Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya and Slink and comes in large and small versions.

Hello hello, Fab Free! It’s that time again… MakeOver Monday! And we’ve come so far! Two full avatars for exactly ZERO lindens. And I really had to grit my teeth a few times. I’m so weak when it comes to having that “perfect’ (To me anyway) look. I really fret over poor Alistar’s hair. And I’m still looking for something better for him. I swear, if I ever become a designer or builder… I will have good free stuff for the guys. But anyway…
Let’s jump in here. SO, we have bento bodies, Mesh heads, Animation Overrides, and hair. All we need now is clothes. I don’t want to dwell on the clothing part since that’s basically what we do here at the Blog everyday. But I do want to mention a few places, I’ve found very helpful.
First is R&R Swag and their “Rookie Alley” . This is a very nice selection of things for both male and female avatars under 30 days. This outfit is a bit of a mix and match from the Rookie Alley and the past group gifts.
Alistar’s second outfit is a second set of jeans from R&R Swag’s Rookie Alley and a group gift from Asteroidbox for the L’Homme group. L’Homme is one of the hands down best groups to join if you are looking for male clothes and accessories. The group is free to join, the designers are top notch and you have three -ish months to pick the gifts up. I highly recommend it.
Last is a current gift for one of our own FabFree Group designers – MaxMagic. They are offering this great Trekkie hoodie for both men and women. I do love geeky stuff!
Kerydwyn’s clothes are much easier to find, go figure. But I still want to show a few choices for our newbs. The first is from BoHo Soul one of our FabFree Group designers. This is the “Impish” outfit which comes with top, pants and shoes. Which is awesome because free good shoes are hard to find.
The second outfit is from the Cozy Fest event. This event is a bonanza for free gifts from real quality designers. Plus, for new folks… it’s just about everything you can ask for. The group is free to join and each booth has a free gift! Kerydwyn is showing the ‘Maggs’ top from Apple Blossom and the ‘Natasha’ leggings from 1313 Mockingbird lane. These events are great places to “shop” for designers landmarks as well. If you like the gift or what you see in the booth… check out their main store. Heyya Fab Fam! I am so excited to be in the weekend… I changed shape! LOL No… not really. I’m just reporting on a new FREEMesh head for us. I know some of y’all are happy Mesh Head collectors and I’m happy to getcha your fix! 😉
This is the Leah Head and shape from Kalhene. You can get it for freewhen you join the freeKalhene group. I’m wearing just the supplies from the free head gift. The gift comes with two shapes, one slightly more curvy than the other. The shapes are meant for the Erika Mesh Body (Also from Kalhene) but I am wearing it on my Maitreya Lara. So there are some neck issues that I assume would not be issues on the correct body.
In addition to the shapes, Leah comes with four complete body and head BOM skins. I’m wearing the ‘Sunkissed’ skin. The details are very nice and smooth. The body details are nice and well designed. I tried on each skin included and liked all of them. In my opinion, they are all rather light, even the ‘Toffee’ one. Four eye colors for the system eyes are also in the gift. I am showing the ‘Light Blue’.
Leah comes with a small HUD for five eyelashes and twenty our lip colors. It also has a ‘glossiness’ meter and a ‘random’ animations button. The gift also has BOM makeup for eyeliner, eyeshadow and lip color. I am wearing all three as well as the HUD eyelashes. In all, I think this is a very pretty shaped head. She’s very feminine even in profile. I will certainly being adding ‘Leah’ to my collection.

Season’s Greetings, Fabulous Folk. As you’ve seen, Julianna is completely immersed herself in the Christmas cheer. So I feel I can do the same. Winter is fully upon us here in our little corner of the Grid and the Real World as well. In fact, there are little flurries of snow falling as I write this. So it’s the perfect setting to stay in beside the fire with a good book and a couple of happy puppers.

Oh I do love the Halloween hunt season here on the Grid. I am constantly amazed by the talented designers and the awesome clothes and jewelry and items they give us. For…free! I’ve done just enough building on second Life to know that this stuff is NOT easy so I hope you all thank your favorite designers and spend a Linden or two while you hunt.
SO, let’s talk Hunts. I’ve been bopping all over the Grid this week on Fallen gods Prophecy Hunt. Now, you only have until the 31rst to grab the HUD and finish the Hunt but that’s easily done. The Prophecy Hunt is a bit of a different breed of Hunt. First, you collect the Hunt HUD at the Fallen gods Sim. While you’re there, be sure to take a look at the special faire going on there. Anyway, grab the HUD and teleport to the first store, find the hunt object ( An all – seeing eye) then you teleport to the next store. You don’t get the prize for each store till you complete the entire Hunt. The last teleport takes you to a massive prize room where you can pick and choose which ever free prizes you want or click the central pillar to receive all the prizes at once. Now, I know this sounds odd… but it works. The hunt objects are the fun challenging not the pull your hair out Twisted Hunt challenging. There were a couple of store that were… um… rather difficult. But, in the end, it was worth the frustration.
Having said all that… ya’ll still here… okay… Let’s look at some prizes.
My gorgeous gown is from Secrets of Gaia, this is the Asteria gown and it is stunning. I know my photo is gettin’ kinda artsy so I’m tossing the hunt photo for the prizes so you can see them. But I don’t think the Hunt photo does it justice. This thing is swoon worthy!

My new jewels are from On a Lark. The ‘Gotland Orb’ s included HUD has 14 choices of jewel color and three metals. I foresee using this one a lot!
