Casual Decorating Furniture final

Guess who’s back. Back again.

Hey, wonderful readers! I’ve been gone for a while thanks to being busy and sick in real life (yuck). Now that I’m feeling better, though, I can’t wait to show you some of the fabulous deals I’ve dug up. There are a lot of events this December (advents and hunts and gacha fairs oh my!) but I’d like to take a moment to highlight two FabFree Group Gifts today. As always the listing can be found {HERE} and to join this free group simply copy and paste the following link into local chat in your Second Life viewer, secondlife:///app/group/020fa7af-444d-f54f-01e2-557ec06315fd/about  and click the link when it appears in local chat.

If you’re wondering, yes that is my fireplace.

We’ve been spoiled for choice when it comes to clothing items but did you know that there are some top notch furniture designers offering quality gifts for FabFree group members too? It’s most certainly a boon for those, like me, who love to play around with the look of their apartment and these gifts above have certainly added a bit more festive cheer to my Second Life. First up is the newest FabFree group gift from Lil Tease Creations.  I’ve always loved decorations that come with a little bit of a twist and since I can’t seem to let go of Halloween just yet these Christmas Stockings from Lil Tease Creations with its spoopy (thanks for teaching me this word Love!) and cute designs on the front were simply perfect for my fireplace. In the pack, you’ll get seven (spider design not shown) mesh socks that are one land impact each. The permissions are set to copy so you can duplicate as many as you want of these darling little socks for your residence. After you’ve grabbed your gift, take a look around Lil Tease Creations, I slapped two, no group needed, Midnight Mania boards while I was there.

Next up is the Sugar Candy Wreath by [CIRCA] Living. I’ve been eyeing this gift for a while but since my apartment has no doors there was really nowhere to put it when Halloween rolled around. It was just lucky then that the wreath with its adorable cartoon designs went beautifully with the Christmas Stockings. I enjoy the seasonal orange of the wreath too as it was a good call back to, my favorite season, Autumn. The Sugar Candy Wreath stands at five land impact and permissions are set to copy as well so you can duplicate as many of these beautiful wreaths as you want! Both of these gifts are free so wear your FabFree tag proudly, snap up these gifts and get to decorating!

If that decorating bug has bit you hard…

Here are some more blog posts on other furniture items that are available for free with your FabFree group tag:

What to wear while decorating.

Seeing as I’ve been in a bit of a knitwear kick recently, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that I’m bringing the Gaa Dress by !cream Spaghetti Hair (gosh what an awesome store name) to your attention today. Not only does this quaint little store have no group required Lucky Boards for you to stalk, it also has a wide range of cheapies in store for visitors. This pretty, sleeveless number costs only 5L and is a steal as you will be getting the dress in not one but two (blue and pink) different colors. What’s more, both versions of the dress is available in one standard mesh size as well as sizes for Slink Hourglass, Slink Physique, and Maitreya. There is also a good alpha layer included in the package so if you’re still using the standard mesh size that will certainly help with the fitting.

For this picture I’ve paired the Gaa Dress with another great deal from !cream Spaghetti Hair, which is the Love Pink Tights that you can purchase for 15L. These tights come in pants, socks and tattoo layer for those of us using classic avatar bodies as well as Huds for owners of Maitreya or Slink mesh bodies. There are five different designs to choose from in the pack and I went with this playfully pink and blue diamond design which kinda reminds me of fun carnivals. Hmm…maybe it’s not too late to do that snowed in version of Harley Quinn I had in mind…

Have you been stalking the advents?

I have and to make your job easier, FabFree has an advent listing for you {HERE}. One of the advent boards that I’ve been stalking is the one at Alli&Ali Designs and Day 4 yielded the Carrie hairstyle in Cinnamon. It’s always great finding new stores and I’m really glad to have discovered this hairstore during my first ever Advent run in Second Life. As I understand it, the Advent Board gives out individual presents so there might still be a chance for you to receive the Carrie hair during this advent season. If not the Alli&Ali Designs advent is totally free and there’s still plenty of chances for you to pick up some new hairstyle to suit your taste and style!

Casual Decorating Headshot final

Speaking of Advents

One of the ones I’m waiting for with baited breath is the 12 Days of Christmas Advent that’s starting at AlterEgo on the 14th of this month. This advent is open to group members so I highly recommend joining the Toxxic Designs Studios group now while it’s free as a membership fee will be in effect after the 13th. When you’re in the group and waiting for the advent to start, go ahead and grab Victoria, the new AlterEgo group gift. This gorgeous skin comes in two tones (rose and sunkissed) and you’ll be getting three classic skin with eyebrows/no eyebrows options, five brow shapes, eyelash alpha, physics and two shapes. There is also an applier hud included that works for Soul Uni, Slink, Belleza, Maitreya and Omega mesh bodies and parts. AlterEgo is fast becoming one of my favorite skin places because of it’s well-defined skin and unique faces as well as it’s frequent and generous group gifts. Oh, and if you know someone who’s under 30 Days old in Second Life, bring them over to AlterEgo as there are gifts specifically aimed for newbies too!

And that’s a wrap for today! Happy decorating and adventing!

Court of Owls

Court of Owls

Oh, that lag…

So far my first ‘Black Friday’ experience in Second Life has been fun and quite hectic. My full body alpha has never gotten so much use before and even then there were times when I couldn’t outrun the lag monster. Only in SL can you shop while being half trapped in a wall (lol). Anyway, these offers listed today are time sensitive but if you have a moment to spare check out the Black Friday and Cyber Monday event. Most of these stalls are offering roleplay centric clothing but if you’re not an active role player like me (still on that bucket list) it’s still worth taking a peek to snap up some interesting pieces for your wardrobe. For this event, merchants have 30-35L items for Friday and half price items for Monday, though the vendors are set up through the event so don’t worry if you’re just teleporting in now to get your Friday items. What’s more, there’s a gacha market at the event as well and most of the stalls have a free gift out for visitors.

A girl and her owl

For the picture above I’m wearing the free gift from Pekas Gorean and Urban Designs. The Love and Roses gown come in four standard mesh sizes (XS, S, M, XL) with an alpha layer to stop any bits from sticking out. I really love that full skirt and the rippled folds going down its sides are a very pretty detailing. You can never go wrong with the black and white combination and I adore the chalky flower patterns on the skirt and train of this gown.

My graphics card has been a bit grumpy as of late, as you might have noticed as I haven’t been sim hopping as much as I want to. Taking pictures in a box in one’s backyard can get a little lonely so I decided to add this little guy into the mix for today to keep me company. He’s from the Queen of Peace pose set by Belle Poses and is available for at the Black Friday and Cyber Monday event for 35L. There are six elegant poses in the pack and you’ll get six different owls as well so there’s no need to fuss with the position of your feathered friend. He’s so cute that I might just rezz him for fun around the house though I hope the cats don’t try to eat him.

Another day another hair sale

Looks like I haven’t gotten my fill of hair sales after the first day of the Black Friday run. In all honesty, though, I had thought to hang my hat up and then saw that Ayashi was having a 30% off sale for its hairpacks and 50% off on gachas. Seeing that gachas are one of my biggest weaknesses I was off like a shot and picked up the Rumi hair for 50L. That the gacha machine gave me the pink set was just a bonus! The hair sale at Ayashi ends on the 28th.

Court of Owls headshot

Skin deep

I was pretty pleased to find that one of my favorite skin stores, WoW Skins was participating the Black Friday and Cyber Monday event. I picked up the Ines skin for just 30L and was pleasantly surprised to discover that it contained six skin fatpacks in five tones. There are cleavage/no cleavage options for each skin as well as appliers for Slink, Lolas and Phat Azz included in the package. What’s more, there are two freckles tattoo layers included as well, making me a very happy shopper.

All about that bling

Full disclosure, I’ve never really worn very many accessories in world. I always vow to punch up my outfits a little bit more with bracelets or earrings or necklaces and then turn around again to grab that full body alpha layer because I’m going to an event. The perils of lag and blogging amirite? Looking through the various free gifts that I picked up at the Black Friday and Cyber Monday event, however, I found a beautiful jewelry set by Footpaw industries. It includes a tiara, earrings, bracelets, two hair accessories and a necklace. I’m only wearing the necklace in the picture above and thought that it’s glittery diamonds and artistic design made the entire outfit more refined.

And that’s a wrap for today dear readers. Have fun inworld and stay safe!

Through the Woods this Black Friday

Into the woods

Sn@tch up your fishing rods folks, the tides are coming in again!

I was just talking to Kathryn the other day about the fishing prizes at Sn@tch and she commented on what an avid angler I’ve become. It really isn’t hard to get hooked (ha ha) on fishing for prizes as Sn@tch changes out its prize outfits on the regular and they never fail to contain a wide variety of clothing pieces so that you can play around with different looks. Not only that but accessories, makeup and footwear are often thrown into the mix that you can wear with other items in your inventory. The latest Fish 4 This outfit is called Through the Woods and generously contains;

  • Five system snowpants in plum, red, green (pictured), teal and white
  • Snowpants mesh cuffs
  • Two system turtleneck sweaters in grey (pictured) and black
  • Five mesh tops in army (pictured), black, plum, red and teal
  • Mesh Fur Coat
  • Ankle boots
  • Though the Woods makeup tattoo layer in plum (not pictured)

If you have a mesh body or head never fear as you can catch the Omega applier for all the system and tattoo layer parts of the outfit from the prize filled waters. The mesh tops and fur coat come in both come in five standard mesh sizing (XS-XL) with an added fitmesh size for the fur coat and respective alpha layers to help with the fitting. Speaking of alpha layers, one is included for the ankle boots as well and you don’t need to have mesh fit to be able to slide these beauties on. Whew! That’s a ton of detail but I had a lot of fun figuring out the color combinations and there are already a few dresses that I have in mind that would go wonderfully with those boots. Fishing at Sn@tch is completely free but you do need to purchase a basic fishing rod for 100L to get in on the fun. Rods are available on the marketplace or at the Sn@tch store. It’s a great investment as you’ll get a lot of mileage on these outfits so to speak and since it’s Sn@tch, it’s top quality!

Into the woods (bonus)

While I was there…

Alright, alright I’ll admit that fishing is not all I do when I’m at Sn@tch. If you’ve been to the store you can’t really fault me for that as there are a lot of great outfits lining the walls. What’s more that are lucky boards to stalk and riot vendors to keep your eyes on so I had great fun multitasking and packing my wardrobe with great clothes from Sn@tch. The gown pictured above is new on their riot vendors and something that I just had to share. I got it for 55L as the store was pretty packed that day and when I opened the package up, I was floored by the options. First of all, you’ll get this glittery and flowing floor length skirt in five standard mesh sizes (XS-XL). Secondly, the strappy and backless top comes in eight different colors and five standard mesh sizes as well (XS-XL). Thirdly, there are also two different alpha layers included in the package to play around with. The subtle dusting of glitter on the skirt and the rhinestones that line the neckline of the top add a glamorous air to the whole outfit. Not only do I intend to wear this for upcoming parties this Chrismas but it’s also given ideas on a new blog segment as well (hmmm). Bring a friend or ten to Sn@tch today and pull those prices down, down, down to get the Gala Sparkling Brocade Gown into your inventory as well.

So you may have noticed…

So you may have noticed that I’m wearing a different hairstyle in each picture. That’s because of Black Friday and the insane number of sales that are going on right now. The offers that I’m about to list down are time sensitive as they end today but there’s nothing like a bit of rushing to get that adrenaline pumping I’d like to say. In the top three pictures, I’m wearing hairstyles from Doe that is having a 50% off sale for all of its Gachas. Playing a Gacha from this store has always been a staple for me at Gacha events so I was over the moon excited. Doe always has the cutest hairstyles and their colors are always so vibrant.

In the bottom two pictures, I’m wearing hairstyles from Besom. The store is marking down its hair packs to 75L and I took the opportunity to fill up the gaps in my Besom hair collection. I’ve always been a fan of the wonderful texturing of Besom hairstyles and their styles have an urban flavor to it yet still look so elegant. Hurry down to both stores to take advantage of these great deals maybe we’ll bump into each other as I’m certainly making the trip back.

7 Deadly s{K}ins is going to be having free group join starting from the 28th of November! I can’t say enough how much I love the skins from this merchant and they always have such great perks for their group members. Not only are there regular monthly group gifts, there are also Midnight Mania and Mini Mania boards as well as Lucky Chairs. While browsing through their Black Friday Sale (60% off CasperVend items!) I managed to claim the Libra skin for myself. I’m been eyeing this skin set for so long that I was jumping for joy to see that my letter was up. Luckily I didn’t hit the ‘discard’ button in my excitement so now I’ll be able to tell you all about the Libra skin set! In the package, you’ll receive the Libra classic skin with cleavage/no cleavage options in five different tones (Pineapple tone pictured) as well as appliers for Slink hands and feet, Tango boob, and Phat Azz. What I thought was special about this skin package was that a version of this skin in Gothic makeup is included as well. The Gothic skins come in the same five tones as well as cleavage/no cleavage options. You’ll get twenty skins in one pack as a lucky chair prize, how mind-blowing is that? Mark your calenders for the 28th and wait patiently…

You might also want to…

Check out Elephante poses. The store is having a Black Friday and Retirement sale with the entire store excluding collabs and new releases being marked down to 50% off. The older stock is being marked down to 75% off so be sure to look for purple and white tagged items for more discounts. I really love using the poses here as they’re very fluid so come and take advantage of the sales before it ends on the 27th of this month.

And that’s a wrap for today. I’ve gotta dive back into those Black Friday sales. Maybe I can even claw my way to the one at Truth….

I Sing the Body Electric

I Sing the Body Electric

Gaps in the wardrobe.

Gaps? But Sheidey what are you talking about? Some Second Life inventories are possibly related to literal black holes! In all seriousness, though I took a good long look at the theoretical mass (and mess!) that is my inventory and realized that I didn’t have very many options when it came to pants. Needing a quick fix and seeing as throwing away my dresses and skirts were out of the question, I decided to hit some sales. In my previous post {HERE} I mentioned a store called Wertina and not only do they sell some great shoes, but they also have a good variety of clothing items in stock as well. Pictured is the Biker pants in black that are simply a study in fitted leather and look great at any angle. The leather studs that go down on either side of the pants are a great feature just like the distressed leather detailing around the knees. The Biker pants come in five standard mesh sizes (XS-L) with an alpha layer included and cost just 15L because of the closing down sale that Wertina is holding. Pop down to the store to browse! With everything marked down to 5L-35L, you might just find something to fill up the gaps in your wardrobe too.  The closing sale at Wertina ends on the 31st of December.

More metallic goodness!

Now that I have a perfect pair of pants, I was determined to find some fitting footwear for it. Luckily enough Enertia is offering up the Kehlani heels as a free group gift and the metallic sheen to the straps and body of these shoes was exactly what I was looking for. Personally, I feel that the edgy style of these heels paired off nicely with the outfit, but if metallics aren’t your cup of tea there’s also a Hud included in the gift package with five other color options. What’s more, you’ll be getting sizing for Slink, Maitreya, and Belleza feet as well. Add the Kehalni heels into your shoe collection today by joining the Toxxic Designs Studios group for free.

It’s a hair affair!

Hairology has been a hot topic here with the ladies of FabFree and rightly so as the 1st Anniversary of the event is filled with awesome goodies from top quality designers. I found the final touch to my outfit there in the form of a dollarbie hair gift from Vanity Hair. Buns have such a bad rep for being uptight but this beautifully textured updo is simply elegant. Natural colors isn’t something that I’d usually go for when hairstyles are concerned but this gift and it’s Hud that contains four rich tones to choose from certainly inspired me to give the ‘naturals’ a chance. While there is no alpha layer provided, there’s a nifty resizer in the hud which makes fitting hassle free and the hairdo itself has copy permissions enabled so that you can make duplicates for backup. This round of Hairology closes at the end of the month so don’t miss out!

For more coverage on the gifts at Hairology check out these posts:

I Sing the Body Electric Headshot

 In plain sight.

While slapping the Midnight Mania boards at WoW Skins the other day I ran into (literally, thanks lag) this free gift in the games room. This very generous gift contains the classic Soraya skin in the tan tone with both cleavage/no cleavage options as well as appliers for Phat Azz, Slink Hands and Feet, Ghetto Booty and Lolas Tango. You’ll also receive a brow base and shape but my favorite aspect of this skin aside from the fact that it’s totally free are the two freckles tattoo layer that comes included in the package as well. My very first skin in SL was freckled as well so it was good to come back to the look after a while away.

Speaking of going back to old looks, I’ve gone back to blue-grey eyes as well after experimenting with different colored peepers. The aptly named Athena eyes are a free gift from Mesange and not only will you be receiving system eyes but mesh ones as well with Genesis and Omega Huds. I feel wiser already for snapping up this gift and maybe I’ll be sticking to this pair for a while.

And that’s a wrap. I’d like to wish a happy and safe Thanksgiving to those who celebrate it. Have fun out there dear readers. Till next time!

Tell Me About It, Stud

Tell Me About ItHello There Fab Free’rs, I hope it’s obvious that Pru is channeling a little Olivia Newton -John circa the 1978 version of Grease. As I was trying things on and putting this look together my mind went right to Sandy’s post makeover look. I can just hear Sandy saying “Tell me about it, Stud.” while Danny Zuko struggled to handle her sexy new look! Needless to say, I had some fun with this one, and I hope you like it.

Now I’m sure you’re wondering, where’d I get most of this stuff!? Thanks to one of the photos in our Fabulously Free in SL Flickr group, I found out about an event called Hashtag 7 Colors of the Rainbow. To be perfectly honest I don’t know much about the event other than there were a lot of colorful items and most of the vendors had at least one gift out, some had several. Each gift ranged in cost from FREE to as much as 10 lindens, most gifts I saw were set at 5 lindens. Leave it to me to find the least colorful gifts to show, what can I say I’m a sucker for black! I also picked up a recent gift by LIVIA from the Marketplace because I needed to have some gorgeous red lips to finish the look.
Better Shape UpStarting with the top rather than from the top, this black and gold bodysuit is one of many gifts at the Hashtag 7 Colors of the Rainbow event. The gift is from a shop called Alpha Female. It includes appliers for Maitreya, Belleza, Slink, and classic system layers for non mesh avatars. I am not always a big fan of applier clothing, however this bodysuit is really well done. I think the textures are beautiful. This gift is just 5 lindens, no group needed.

Next up, this boho bangle is from a shop called Shake, and you’ll find it at the Hashtag 7 Colors of the Rainbow event as well. This gift is a FREE one with no need for a group. The bracelet is able to be resized via touch menu. I love the detail in this piece of jewelry, if you look close, it has what looks to me like a cat face in the center of the design. I’m not sure if that was intentional or a happy accident, either way it makes me like it even more.

The last of the gifts from the Hashtag 7 Colors of the Rainbow event that I intend to show are these super sexy high-waist skinny pants from Hi-lo. They are also just 5 lindens. I love these pants. They are one of those staple wardrobe items, everyone should own a pair. The style is timeless, and they are great with a wide variety of tops from sweaters to crops. This 5 linden gift comes in fitmesh sizes, and a body specific size for Maitreya, Belleza, and Slink bodies.

Finally, because this look just wouldn’t be complete without some sultry red lipstick, LIVIA recently put out a set of gorgeous glittery lipsticks on the Marketplace. The Fall Shimmer set includes 5 shades of sparkly lipstick that range in color from gold to red. They are perfect fall shades. For just 5 lindens you get this set in classic system layers, a Catwa applier, a Fiore applier, a Lelutka applier, and an Omega applier. This is a generous gift well worth the 5 lindens, however you can also get this gift for FREE! If you’re not lazy like I am, you can head over to the LIVIA in-world location and pick up this gift for FREE with your LIVIA group tag. The LIVIA group is FREE to join.

Hello there, Fabulouses!  Are you ready for winter like I am?  As the days of November ticked by, I found myself itching to frolic in a winter wonderland.  Although in real life, I never mastered an axel, a spiral, or I’ll be honest, even just a simple crossover, in SL, I glide along with all the moves of a figure skating champion.  Today’s outfit, with its flared skirt and icy, gray tones inspired Ripley and I to travel to this frozen pond on the Twilight Moon sim, but I’m getting a bit ahead of myself.

Mania at Midnight

Time and time again, I keep returning to the Entice store to check out their latest releases.  Currently, the no-group-required free Midnight Mania board is offering the “Be With You” dress.  This frock features short sleeves with a slightly scalloped edge, and a wide leather belt, in addition to the mid-thigh length skirt.  It comes complete with a color-change HUD, which allows you to modify the textures of the top, skirt, and belt individually.  This offers a myriad of possible combinations!  I opted for a black top, white belt, and a dark, printed skirt to contrast vividly against the white snow and ice.  For finishing touches, I added a glistening Snow Flurry Pearl necklace from EarthStones, and laced on a pair of ice skates from V-Style that I picked up for only 30L on the Marketplace.

What’s Included With the Dress:

  • Mesh in XXS, XS, S, M, L for classic avatars
  • Alpha Layer
  • Texture change HUD – grays

Jack Frost Nipping at Your Nose (and Ears!)

Of course, with the chill in the air, I needed something to keep my ears toasty.  While I rummaged around in my inventory, searching for the perfect winter hat, Ripley nudged my elbow insistently, and pointed his nose at the box from Mina perched on my shelf.  Love previously blogged the free Nell hair in her post [HERE], and I had immediately traveled to Hairology to scoop up Love’s featured hairstyle.  However, like Astrid in her post [HERE], I hadn’t yet finished opening my gifts from the event, and had completely forgotten this lovely style.  It’s a good thing my pupster remembered, because the long, flowing hair and white, knitted cap were perfect for a day of gliding across the ice!

Cold Hands and a Warm Heart

With my outfit complete, Ripley and I thoroughly enjoyed a lovely, wintry afternoon, filled with drifting snowflakes, frosty air, and the sound of blades cutting across fresh ice.  Now, if only I had trained Rip to fetch a steaming mug of cocoa, my day would be complete, and I would be able to feel my hands again…. Note to self:  When you go skating, bring mittens!

Until my next post, wonderful readers, happy shopping!

What’s Normal Anyway?

What's Normal Anyway?

I’m still unpacking gifts!

I’m still unpacking gifts from the Anniversary Round of Hairology… and I’m loving all of them. I really wanted to share this one from Pr!tty called Kyla with you. It comes in an essentials pack and is a 1L gift currently at Hairology until November 3oth.

This pretty mesh hair is a pretty side-sweep and it’s hard to go wrong with that. The essential color hud includes several natural colors, a couple of ombres, and a couple of wilder colors like pink. It didn’t have my usual grey-scales, but I settled for this light blonde ombre, and was very happy with the look.

Baby got a new top on!

Elegance Boutique is great about giving out regular group gifts, and I love that the group is FREE to join, making their gifts totally FREE. You just need a spare group space to pick them up. Right now you can pick up this Mely shirt as their current group gift. I chose one of the cheeky prints to wear for my picture, but there are some more traditional choices on the color change hud that is included with the top.

What you get with the top…

  • Sizes: Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique
  • Textures: Red, Pink floral, Pink, Navy Stripes, Black, Black Cat Meow, Brown Whisker Cat, Normal People Scare Me (shown), and White Cat Meow

Don’t Say a Word

Don't Say a Word

“Hush, little baby, don’t say a word,
Mama’s gonna buy you a mockingbird.

And if that mockingbird don’t sing,
Mama’s gonna buy you a diamond ring.

And if that diamond ring turns brass,
Mama’s gonna buy you a looking glass.”

Feeling Introspective…

When I saw the group gift from Le Morte, I knew I had to have it. The join fee is 50L but I wanted the mouth tape gift of “Silence” as it spoke to me on so many levels. I’m a person who speaks out after all. And the idea of representing silence seemed important. Because I really don’t think we should remain silent when issues are important to us. I won’t get into politics or issues here, but I’ll offer a heartfelt plea to all of you… speak out. Don’t remain silent when something is important to you. I am pretty sure the saying goes that you’ll regret the things you didn’t do, more than the things you did do. That’s sort of the idea I’m going on here.

Hairology is still going on!

On a lighter note, the Hairology Anniversary celebration is still going strong, and you can still pick up lots of FREE and 1L gifts of beautiful hair until November 30th, when the event ends. I picked up my beautiful hair from Iconic called “Michelle” as a FREE gift from Hairology. It came with a fatpack hud of colors. There are lots of other gifts to be had at this event so it is a not-to-be-missed one! Mark it down and teleport in!

Into the wide blue yonder

Into the wide blue yonder

Another Saturday rolls around again!

Hello, dear readers and welcome to another Saturday Edition. This week’s post is coming to you just a little late this week and for that, I apologize.  Got to empathize with Love as I too am feeling under the weather as of late but I’m battling through the grogginess to bring to you the latest Fabulously Free in SL group gift by Snowpaws. You can have a quick look at all the goodies donated by our Fabulous Designers here and as always, to join the group just copy and paste the following link into local chat in your Sl viewer secondlife:///app/group/020fa7af-444d-f54f-01e2-557ec06315fd/about and click on it. The group is free to join.

Something blue to combat the blues.

The first time I saw the ad for the Paige dress it really brought a smile to my face. While there are those who claim that mesh clothing can sometimes look flat, this simple strappy number is anything but. The beautiful flowing lines of the skirt add an air of casual elegance to the Paige dress and if you’re looking to experiment with simple color blocking then this is the outfit for you. The underskirt is a lighter blue than the rest of the dress’ deeper shade and adds to its uniqueness without being overpowering. The Paige dress comes in five standard mesh sizes (XXS-L) and you’ll also be receiving a great alpha layer to stop any bits from sticking out. All you need to do to add the Paige dress to your virtual wardrobe is to wear your Fabulously Free in SL group tag, click on the board and the dress is yours for free. After you’re done, take a look at the games room at Snowpaws as there are tons of Midnight Mania boards, Mini Manias, Lucky Letters for you to participate in plus freebies! For a visual, take a look at Love’s post {HERE} on Fab Designer Snowpaws.

Get lured.

If you haven’t stopped by the latest round of The Gacha Garden, now would be a good time to do a little exploring. I was enchanted by both the whimsical build and the awesome and varied gacha machines that are there to be played. Best yet some merchants have put out free gifts to lure you down the path and deeper into the garden. One of these gifts is the Slim Chance hair by Analog Dog. I’m in love with the messy up-do and wild effortless curls. You will also receive an extensive Hud in the gift package that will enable you to choose from different fantasy tones as well as the ombre fades and tints. To get the Slim Chance hairstyle and other free gifts at The Gacha Garden simply join the Gimme Gacha group (free group join) and wear your tag proudly as you explore the event. This round of The Gacha Garden ends on the 30th of this month.

To say goodbye.

It’s always a little sad when I discover stores that are just about to close. Maybe I’m just being silly but I always get a sense that I’m a little late to the party (lol). Wertina is one such store and their clothing items and shoes are priced between 5-35L. I picked up these cute Keira heels (only for Slink High feet) for just 10L and the shoe addict in me is just itching to get more. Drop by Wertina before the 31st of December as that’s when their doors will close.

Into the wide blue yonder

Make me over.

I’ve never really explored with makeup layers before but when I saw that Alaskametro was having a 50% off sale for their pre-fall cosmetics line, I thought it’d be a good time to start. I learned about this merchant through the FabFree website months ago and now that I’ve finally gotten around to trying their makeup, I’m really glad that I did. There were so many choices of eyeshadows and lipsticks/glosses that I didn’t know where to start but luckily there were wearable testers provided to guide me in my purchases. In the end, I finally settled on the Creme Duo eyeshadow and Matte Dark lipstick respectively. Each pack has six different color variations as well as appliers for TMP, Slink Visage, Lelutka, Omega, and Loudmouth. With the popularity of mesh heads in the market, I’m glad that there’s a merchant that includes tattoo layers as well for classic avatars. The sale at Alaskametro is ending at the end of November.

And that’s a wrap! Stay safe and healthy this weekend fabulous readers!
