On the 5th Day of Christmas…

Guess what?  It’s time for Day 5!  I was feeling very classy today with this post, but with a vintage twist.  I love each of these pieces that are included in this post and had to share them.

The beautiful chair I am sitting on is today’s gift at Zerkalo.  The fabric is such a lovely vintage/shabby-chic design.  There are several PG animations included as well.  Zerkalo‘s advent calendar is FREE for group members and the group is FREE to join.

I swooned over the luggage/travel decor in the center.  Aesthetically at least, I would have loved to live in that era.  But I have to remember these things were normal then and didn’t look old and vintage and cool like they do us now.  This decor set (all one piece) is the gift from Yasum today.  I got a cool surprise today when I was writing this up…it has poses!!!  Three female poses and three male.  Yasum‘s gifts are FREE with no group needed.

Next I have to share this gorgeous little Christmas tree from Lelutka.  I didn’t realize this but apparently they send a FREE tree every year to their group members (FREE to join).  This is not part of an advent calendar, but such an awesome gift, I had to tell you all about it.  And it totally fit the theme I was going for.

Now…this dress.  This is what started this whole post.  I opened this FREE dress gift up from Next Door Designs for Day 4 (still available) and I fell in love!  First I need to give a little instruction on getting their gifts.  You must join the group, which is FREE to join (you can right click the calendar and edit to find the group name) and then you right click and select to pay L$1 on the day you want to receive.  That L$1 is then immediately refunded.  Here are the fits for this dress:

This birthday bash for Fabulously Free is the biggest one I have ever seen! There are more gifts than I can count and such amazing designers participating in the event. Christmas Time is Here

Where did the weekend go? By this time Friday it will be Christmas Day! Can you believe it? I’m half in denial myself. lol Two things that seem to go hand in hand for better or worse are Christmas and shopping. I finally worked my way through the behemoth that is the Holiday Shop & Hop event and as overwhelming as it can be, I have to admit it was worth it. My inventory now flooded with gifts, I thought I’d share a few with you.

If you’ve never gone to one of the Shop & Hop events before, there are a few things you should know. First, there’s no group needed for the gifts, just click the gift box at each of the designer’s booths. Second, there are eight sims to wander through. Yes, I said eight. As you can imagine, that’s a lot of shopping and hopping. For this post I chose to share the free Holiday Shop & Hop gifts by Eclectic Stars, Unicorn, and Infiniti. Eclectic Stars

When it comes down to it, one of the labels that could be used to describe me (and I think most of us in SL) is “gamer.” Eclectic Stars put out the perfect Christmas sweater for any gamer girl as their free Shop & Hop gift. It has a Christmas tree on it made entirely of Space Invader-style aliens. :O So cute!

As a photographer and a blogger, I’ve got an ever-growing collection of backdrops and photo props and I like it that way. If you’re in need of a cute backdrop for some holiday photos, don’t skip this one.

Finally, this pose with the snowball and falling snow are part of the free Shop & Hop gift by Infiniti. The gift includes a set of 3 poses that include a snowball prop. The falling snow is a wearable add-on, and I have to say I love the detail of the pretty snowflakes. Almost like shoes, I’m a firm believer that there is no such thing as too many poses! For now I’m off to go see if I can’t sneak up on Blue with this snowball. Wish me luck! lol

Sharknado

I could tell you a million things about sharks.  Well, maybe not a million, but a lot.  I’ve settled on one little story about how much fun it isn’t when you’re swimming in a body of water and everyone starts screaming, pointing and alarmingly swimming away from something that’s directly behind you.  Turns out that something was a dolphin, but let’s not get bogged down in details.  Nobody will be swimming away from you in this cute look!

Hello There Fab Free’rs! It’s true, in my heart of hearts I am really super nerdy. I doubt that comes as much of a surprise! Nerd Glasses

Alright, I know it’s a huge cliche to suggest that to be nerdy you should wear glasses or that wearing glasses is nerdy but come on, these are cute! They also are technically a mens gift from BlankLine. I happened across these FREE basic black glasses while surfing through Flickr. They come with resize scripts for easy fitting. To get your pair head over to BlankLine (if you land in the “Mens Department” you’re in the right spot) and there’s a BlankLine group joiner right at the landing spot. The Hero Inside

It was a dark and dangerous alley and all the stores were closed for business… but I had work to do… hero-ing it up and all.

A Dirty Little Secret

It all began with a hunt at Eclectic Stars. The Dirty Little Secrets Hunt to be exact. It has two paths… a 50L hunt path and a 1L hunt path. I stumbled upon the 1L hunt path by chance and ended up with a super hero batman studded blindfold for just 1L at Eclectic Stars. All you have to do is hunt down the little black key with it’s red ribbon. (There’s also a Golden Lasso blindfold in the box.) I knew it was time to find the super hero inside!

That led me to the marketplace in search of the perfect shirt. Inodoro provided and for just 5L! I got this batman t-shirt, perfect for every day hero wear, and in the most popular mesh body sizes. The package includes sizes to fit Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, and Slink Physique. For 5L, it was a steal… errr… deal.
