Oh Happy weekend, FabFam! It is just a gorgeous day here in my little corner of the real world. The sun is shining, the birds are singing and the early Summer breezes are gently blowing. All I need now is a gorgeous fairy tale dress like this one. It’s rather weird to think I found this beauty…. in a sewer.

You guessed it, I have been spelunking in the Scoop N Score hunt this last day or so, scooping adorable ( yet disturbing) little poos.  Why? because each one has a very generous and delightful prize in it. Like this lovely little dress. 

This is the “Petal Dress” from Web Dew ( Entrance to the Sewer Hunt ) a new-to-me designer. In fact, Web Dew has hidden twelve prizey-poops in the sewers. But let me warn you… this is not an easy hunt. The poos aren’t really hidden, they are splatted all over but the sewer is a proper maze. I got lost soooooo much. But the effort is worth it. There are a ton of prizes down there and they are all 0Ls. Yep, a totally FREE hunt. Something we don’t see much anymore.  You have until May 30th to clean up the sewers and grab all the prizes.

Settling in

Hey Fab Fam! Today my real world was so dreary and rainy and cold, I just wanted to curl up with the kitties and a good book and hide away. Of course, real world boring stuff had to be done. But when I was finished I decided I needed some self care comfort in Second Life too.

So I popped over to Wiccan Wears to hunt down the “Sophie” sleep shirt. Sophie is the 1L prize for the Leather and Lace Hunt from WW. I love the cute ‘boyfriend’ style of the shirt, it looks so comfy. And it comes with a pair of matching panties built right in!

No Bad Apples Here

Hi there, Fabulous Readers!  The air was crisp and clean and I decided to pay a visit to an orchard this afternoon.  Since it was a bit on the chilly side, I’m glad I had a new jeans jacket and sweater to keep me warm! I picked them up for just one Linden dollar as a hunt prize.  Later, I’m going to bake a homemade apple pie.  The only thing missing is some vanilla ice cream to put on top.  Maybe you have some?  I’ll gladly share the pie. 🙂

When in Doubt, Wear Denim

In my last post, I talked about the Hunt on Haunted Hill, and I have another budget-friendly item from the event to show you today.  Over at The Sissy Bar, if you locate the small ghost lurking around the sim, you can add this casual combo to your SL wardrobe.  In a soft, washed denim hue, the jacket features three-quarter-length sleeves, a cropped fit, and a mischievous critter patch on each shoulder.  The black sweater, with a ribbed collar and sleeves, is built-in so you don’t have to worry about your top poking through the jacket.  Isn’t it annoying when that happens in world?  Versions for classic avatars as well as common mesh body styles are included in the folder.  The hunt runs through October 31st.

Warm and Cozy

Hello, Fabulous Readers.  I don’t know about your part of the world, but soon, the first snowflakes will fall in my neck of the woods.  I have just the thing to keep you snug when the days turn chilly.  Even if you aren’t expecting flurries quite yet, this outfit is still perfect for the season with its fringed scarf.

Bring on the Ghosts and Goblins

In my last post, I told you about one of my hunt discoveries, and today, I am back with another.  I decided to explore the Hunt on Haunted Hill 5 this weekend.  Over at the MadCatCreations Boutique, I located the hunt object (a cute little ghost) paid the one Linden dollar prize fee, then scurried on home before nightfall.  Believe me, I don’t want to be out on any haunted trail after dark!  With a realistic, heather-gray cabled knit texture, long sleeves, and generous hem, this sweater is sure to keep you warm in brisk weather.  I like the vee-shaped, plunging neckline and appreciate the dark scarf decorated with spooky skulls.  If the autumn winds get too strong, I can always wrap up. 🙂  You can wear the sweater and scarf together as I am showing, or separately for added versatility.  Each of the 23 stops along the Hunt on Haunted Hill trail cost one Linden dollar and all coordinate with the Halloween theme.  The event runs until October 31st, so there’s plenty of time to get your hunt on.

Meet Me at Dusk

Hello Fabulous Readers!  I don’t know about you, but I can’t resist the color purple.  Today’s post features a gorgeous formal gown that I picked up for free as a hunt prize in the Twisted Hunt Fall 2021 (Beyond the Veil).  This is a time-sensitive post because the event draws to a close on September 30th, but this beauty is well worth a journey down the hunt trail.

Fit for a Royal

With its slightly puffed upper sleeves, intricate print on the bodice, and “v” shaped waistline, the free Clyra gown flatters your curves.  I love how the full-length skirt drapes gracefully to the ground and is loose enough to make it easy to move without being cumbersome.  I felt so elegant as I wore it, and found myself searching for a castle to visit.  Although it’s not designed specifically for a mesh avatar, I was able to get the perfect fit by adjusting the alpha of my Maitryea mesh body.  If you are still rocking a classic avatar, the included alpha layers will allow you to opt for wearing the dress with and without your feet showing.  As I stated earlier, the hunt runs only until the end of September, so if you like this frock as much as I do, head on over soon to *DSO* (Designs by Starla) to do some sleuthing of your own.  You’ll be searching for a small dusk-colored cube.

Good afternoon my FabFree Crew! Happy weekend to us all. Now that I have some free time on the Grid it’s time to dive into my favorite Hunt off the year: The Twisted Hunt! Yes, it’s stupid hard… and stupid frustrating and yes, I pull my hair out every year… I do love it. It’s such a challenge and finding that right cube is a real thrill. Plus, I think the designers really pull out all the stops for this hunt and we get some awesome gifts.

Like this sweet little harness and mini from Ari-Pari. The dress comes with a HUD for choices of color and three colors for the harness. Plus a switch to turn the harness on and off. Makes for a nicely versatile addition to your closet.

Just be warned. There are no clues and tons of decoys at most of the designers in this Hunt. But you can join the Twisted Hunt group for fun chat and a little help along the way. The Twisted Hunt runs until Sept 30th so get in there and get twisted!

The Colors are a Changin’

Hello Fabulous Readers!  I am popping in with a quick post to share my latest hunt prize and a budget-friendly crop top with you.  I know, I know, the leaves are changing, but I can’t bring myself to give up my summer tops just yet.

Don’t Forget to Be Owlsome

First, I just had to tell you about these adorable baubles from Loordes of London.  The Republican Redundancy earrings are part of the Changing of Colors Hunt 5 and feature shimmering gold accented with brown eyes and wing spots.  All you’ll need to do to add them to your inventory is to locate the hunt object, an orange leaf, hidden somewhere in the shop, then pay the tiny prize fee.  There are 25 stops along the hunt trail, and each item costs just one Linden dollar.  You have until September 30th to do some sleuthing of your own.

She’s a Rebel

Soon I will have to at least start wearing a jacket, but for now, I’m enjoying soaking up some sunshine on these early fall days as I take in the foliage.  My new Bebe Mesh Crop Top from !Rebel Hope is a lovely shade of brown that is perfect for the autumn landscape hues.  With its halter-style neck, soft texture, and cute laces on the side, it’s sure to please.  I picked it up on the Marketplace for a reasonable 25 Linden dollars.  The folder includes an alpha layer and sizes for classic avatars as well as versions for several mesh avatar body types.  A color change HUD for the laces with 8 options allows you to customize your look.

Heyya FabFree! I’m back to being my own sweet self after my trip to the dark side. Certainly, putting on todays outfit helped change my mind back to being a creature of light and happiness. 😉

This is the “Enchanted Rose Set” from Melt and it’s allllll free for the FabFree Enchanted Forest Hunt. Can you tell yet that I am enjoying the heck out of this Hunt? I loved hunting in the green space of Melt’s SIM along an enchanting path with bunnies and deer and unicorns and so, many. flowers! It’s gorgeously done and a pleasure to walk through.

There are five pieces to find to complete the set and I am very impressed with the design and quality. I plan to tuck this beauty into my closet for my RP times.
