Can you read the sign? O.M.G. Art for free? You betcha! Mrs. B., one of our fabulous designers, let me know about The Free Museum. You can see a preview of some of the works in her store, Basilia’s Fine Fashions and grab landmarks to the museum. The brainchild behind the museum(s) is Haiku Quan who had the following to say:

“The Free Museum and the Second Free Museum contain works by some of the very best artists in Second Life. And every artwork here is free. You are welcome to take as many as you like. There is nothing for sale, and there are no tip jars. This is simply my way of giving back to you, the people of Second Life who make this such a fascinating world. And to introduce you to the incredible quality of the fine art being created in Second Life.”

As you wander the museums you may recognize some of the artists whose work is available to all for free. There is something for everyone’s taste.

One of my favorites is the Crococar by Cica Ghost. It’s just my style cause every Cajun gal needs one! Alpha Auer is the creator of the group of musicians seen on the right. There are sooo many beautiful pieces to choose from. If you can’t decide just grab all of them!

Here are a few samples of what you can find there. It’s fun to visit the museums and soak up some culture. There are 2 museums as noted above. make sure you visit both of them. I was a little disappointed because there was no wine & cheese to be found. Oh well, cest la vie!

Good afternoon, Fabulous Readers. Once again 25L Tuesday is offering us gentlemen the chance to be the White Knights our partners believe us to be. And for a very small hit to the wallet.

This is the “Medieval Royal” outfit from C&N Medieval Designs. As with many of C&N’s designs you are receiving the entice outfit from top to bottom. The britches are paired into one piece with the boots and the surcoat and jacket are also one piece. Every part is well designed and the textures are spot on. It is a worthy addition to any RPers closet. But be warned, C&N takes the midnight Tuesday deadline to heart. So hurry if you want to play the prince.

To the Beach, please!

Well, hello again, Monday! And welcome to the week, Fab Fam! I hope all the Moms out there had a lovely Mother’s Day. And now back to the blogging and hunting and freebie finding.

I spent my weekend at the Beach hunting down some awesome items in the “Beach, Please” Hunt. There are a ton of seashells hidden all over Grumble’s beach and each one has a hunt prize in it ranging from 0L to 25L. My new suit was at the higher end of the range at 25L per piece but it was too cute to resist. This is the “Peaches” two piece suit from ~GBD~. It comes with a HUD to pick one of 14 patterns each one as fresh and summery as the next. I also grabbed this straw “Beach Bag” from ~GBD~ for just a 5L shell. The bag comes with 6 hold animations and a decor bag that’s 6 LI.

I think I’m ready to hit the beach!

Good afternoon, FabFree Readers. I know Juli usually posts some snippet of our life or a bit of shopping lore. But I have no such skill other than to say my post is a time limited option so take note.

This is the “Kevin” outfit from a New-to-Me designer – R Way. The suit comes as 2 pieces: the pants and the jacket/sweater with a HUD to choose one of 10 colors for the sweater. Each piece is 60L as part of the 60L Happy weekend sale. There are several colors of suit to pick from for the sale price and of course a fatpack for the regular price. The weekend sale officially runs until midnight tonight SLT but some designer do leave it up longer. However, I don’t recommend waiting around too long.

Pleasing the Gods

Hi gang! I have a lil quickie for you today. I always check for sales on various sites. I got inspired by these beautiful silks on sale for $25L Tuesday. Silks are tres cool to dance in because all the scarves swirl and flutter. I’m not into the role play areas but I was able to find a spectacular Egyptian sim, the Temple of Nefertari.  How much more Egyptian can you get than that? I do recommend a visit to this highly detailed sim. I felt like I should have seen archeologists and their minions carefully uncovering layers of ancient artifacts.

I picked up the Soraya silks at Kitty Creations. When you enter the store take the stairs up to the second floor for all of the current sales, Soraya comes in eight different colors but my eyes locked onto this dark green. After wearing everything mesh for a long time it was an interesting task to add all of the flexi scarves! Without them it’s just not as much fun to wear. Soraya is sized for Maitreya and SLink Hourglass and Physique. All of the scarves must be added individually. A necklace, upper arm bracelets, and a veil are included in the pack.

Note: I’m not sure how long the sale items stay up so if you desire these silks check it out soon; as in before midnight!

Hello again, FabFree Readers. As the title of my missive here indicates, it is indeed, a happy weekend. As many of you know, one long running Grid wide sale is the 60L Happy Weekend Sale. And as such, there are several very nice offerings for the gentlemen of Second Life.

One of the nicest deals is from Chuck Size’s Calvin Turtleneck. Extremely well designed and built it is quickly becoming one of my favorite pieces. There are 5 colors in the 60L sale and even more in the regularly priced fatpack. One other note, the Calvin comes in two versions of each size. One with a higher waist one with a lower for various styles of trousers.

The 60L Happy Weekend Sale, of course, runs through the weekend however many venders leave the sale up for a few days. But don’t count on it, sales can be fleeting things so don’t let this one slip away.

Hello and Happy New Year, FabFree. ‘Tis the Season for new things. Fresh ideas and new paths. And a perfect time to add to your “cool clothes”. Byrne is the very epitome of new and cool. So let’s start there.

Right now, you can pick up this very cool open shirt from Byrne for free when you wear your equally free Byrne Group tag. There is a matching look for the ladies as well. The “Chenille Tartan” comes in two variations: one with a teal collar and one with the red plaid. I did, however have trouble getting the teal version to work for ‘Jake’. Your mileage may vary.
