It’s a time of love and elegance. Valentine’s Day approaches and you might find yourself heading over to Frank’s Elite…do you have the right dress? I am a lover of virtual gowns. They range from simple and pretty to big and bossy, and, fortunately, they come in a range of prices.
I set myself the task of finding a pretty gown in my favorite color, blush. M.O.D.A.N was the answer!!! I found this gorgeous Blush Pearl Choker Gown on sale for 75L AND the Anais heels to match for 55L via Glorious Days pricing. Those hot deals were still up Monday, but run quick, ladies, and grab them while they are hot!

Sundays used to be “shopping day” in SL. Oh, who am I kidding? Every day is shopping day in SL!! But, back in the times of old, my friends and I would gather together at someone’s land and rez out our pose stands for an unpacking party. We’d be brutally honest about the good, bad, and ugly. Sadly, all of my pals have dropped off the grid over the years, but I still hold true to this Sunday tradition.
I am a huge fan of weekly events, and I am pretty certain I belong to all of them: Fifty Linden Friday, Hello Tuesday, Secret Sale Sunday, Glorious Days, 60L Saturday…the list goes on and on. The perk is that you can find great deals but the downside is you have to be quick and hope it’s RL payday before the day or weekend kicks off.
One perk to all weekly sales has been finding new designers and new groups with awesome gifts (again, remind me to ask LL for more group space!). I decide to love a designer based on what they put up for sale on those special weekly events. Are they tossing up their old designs circa 2013 or are they putting up fresh new styles to lure me in?
Today’s outfit is inspired by Glorious Days and Secret Sale Sundays. While these deals might not be there when you get there, they showcase the kinds of items these designers put out. I also poked around at the group gifts to see if the cost was worth it, and determined if there were other elements I liked about the designer’s work. Both events require free group membership, and Secret Sale Sundays requires the use of a transportation HUD.
There were a lot of hot deals to sort through today, and I couldn’t decide which designers to feature! Some Sundays are “meh” but today was a treasure trove. Through Secret Sale Sundays, I found this adorable short set from a shop I never heard of before…Key Style Store! I chose to blog this one because it proves the point of finding new designers through the weekly events. The Marigio outfit has three pieces with a 6 color HUD so you can mix and match. It also includes white sandals which match the whole outfit no matter what colors you pick. Check out the listing below for sizes. You don’t need to be a member of the Group to get the Secret Sale Sundays pricing, but at an affordable L50, you will have access to some really sweet new threads designed for VIPs.
In the Glorious Days event, I found a pretty bracelet to match this outfit at another designer I never knew about: Ysoral. The Luxe Bracelet Alex comes with a HUD where you can customize each part of the bracelet and correct the sizing. This was L1 if you were a member of the Glorious Days group.
The prop set was also coveted through a listing on Glorious Days. The Cowgirl Saloon Booth was L50 and the cowgirl pose set was L60. While I’ve been to Something New a million times in the past 15 years, I don’t think I realized how awesome their group gifts were. The group is free, and right now there is a sexy couples pose and a delightful single pose with mirrors. The LM will take you the main portal for the land, but there is a TP board right there to click to get over to the store.
Overall, I had an epic Sunday full of great deals and surprises. If you want to come hang at my place, we can spend the next seven hours unpacking boxes!

Back in the olden days of SL, there was only one kind of Lucky Chair. Everyone had it. You’d stand at a store all day long hoping for your letter to come up. Now, there are a ton of different “slappies” on the grid, and it’s hard to know where to go to find high quality pieces without breaking the Linden Piggy Bank. Some places have awesome slappies but the group cost is too high, and others have free slappies but the products are circa 2007.
What’s an avatar to do?
Never fear, lads and lasses, I’ve got your six. I went on a hunt to find a low cost, high quality designer with GOOD slappies and found BoA! The group costs 10L to join, but just one slap of your letter or number makes that small cost worth it!
This outfit is fairly simple, but it showcases the fine work of BoA. Called the BoA DeSign Package, the outfit is a peasant blouse and leggings. I have a custom shape, so I had to use my alphas a little for the blouse in the back. The leggings (not shown) come with a generous color hud. I loved the leggings but they didn’t pair nicely with these boots.

Alright Fab Free’rs, I have to say I really am not in to the whole concept of a New Year resolution. I’ve made them in the past, and struggled to keep up with them, and ultimately ended up feeling guilty or disappointed in myself if my resolution didn’t work out. I think we tend to put too much pressure on ourselves to become the best brightest shiny new version of ourselves just because it’s the start of a new trip around the sun. I am all for self betterment, I just think it has to happen in my/your own time.

For this post, this group gift hoodie top from ZFG (Zero F*cks Given) just really summed up the concept of a New Year resolution for me. Sarcasm is also my favorite kind of ‘casm, whatever that means. lol The ZFG group is free to join, and this snarky shirt is free with your ZFG group tag. Since I know my cell phone covers up part of the text it reads “My New Year’s resolution is to reign in my sarcasm. Like that is going to happen.”.
These glasses. Moons, stars, oversized lenses, these glasses from Zombie Suicide called out to me “Pru, you must take us home with you…”. Really, a must-have for me. They are the most recent group gift at Zombie Suicide, and the group has a 100 linden join fee. There are also past group gifts available. This gift has a color change hud as well that allows you to change the color of the frames, and the moon/stars so you can match these babies with everything.
Hello hello Fab Free! Yes, you are seeing things correctly, I am wearing a top made from masks. Honestly, even though it does make me laugh, I do kind of hope that this will be the way to wear masks one day sooner rather than later. My quarantine fashion moment is courtesy of a new group gift at Worldwide. Also, Petrichor has two new group gifts, one of which is this delicate white mandala-like tattoo. Sometimes it’s good to find a little comic relief in whatever way you can. Yes, this top by Worldwide is good for a bit of a giggle, but it’s also cute for a warm sunny day. This “Quarantina” bra top is a free group gift at Worldwide. You can join their group for free as well. The top comes in the classic blue and white paper mask colors shown only, and quite a few sizes.
I love this pretty upper-arm tattoo from Petrichor. It’s one of their most recent group gifts. The Petrichor group is free to join, so no reason to pass this one up. The tattoo comes in BOM layers only with a regular version and an “etched” version. Also, a little side note, Petrichor is formerly The Plastik, so that’s the group you’ll be joining.
Sometimes you just need to let go and eat the cake. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Definitely not afraid of a little indulgence, I happily gave in to my sweet-tooth and picked up this delicious looking cake at Cinoe. Secondly, while this sweater isn’t the same sort of indulgence, it feels like a splurge of the same kind of self gratification. It’s a recent group gift at Sentinus. It does not include any poses or animations. I’ll admit for a split second I thought to myself “Do I really need another sweater?” when I saw this free group gift at Sentinus, and I quickly put that thought out of my mind. No one needs that sort of negative self-talk. Of course I need another sweater, especially one as cute as this one! I really do like the fit of this sweater, and it has a ton of color/texture options making it a must-have. The Sentinus group is free to join also, so honestly, why not add another sweater to your wardrobe?!
