Silky Dreams

I love learning (well anything but math!). While scrounging around in my recent inventory I came across one of the gifts from the Inov Event. It’s name is Foulard. I was thinking a foulard was something like a faux-pas or maybe something a fool might do. Man, I was way off. It turns out that foulard is a lightweight plain-woven or twilled silk usually decorated with a printed pattern. That’s your fashion lesson for today fabbies!

You Would Be a Fool Not to Love It

I would describe Blonde Queen’s free gift at the Inov event as F-I-N-E! It’s a mini dress with such a gorgeous texture that gives it an elegant look. It does look quite silky. I polished off the look with with a free necklace from Evado (that Aline showed you HERE) along with red heels and lipstick. The Foulard dress gift comes in this texture. Cherry Blossom Season

If you’re a regular reader of our blog you may remember that I love Asian styled clothing. Especially one that embodies some of the traditional elements of the classic Chinese style. The Cheongsam or Qipao style of female dress includes elements such as the high mandarin collar, high slits on the sides, tight fit and knot buttons. Also the neckline of the dress has a right side closure. Those are the traditional elements that make the dress!

Most Loved Tuesday Sales

I was thrilled when I saw this dress on sale for the $25L Tuesday sale. I love that classic styling and all of the little details. On A Lark has the Akari Kimono dress on sale today. It looks to me that this is a Cheongsam instead of a kimono. But who am I to disagree with the designer. Anyways, each color is priced at $25L so splurge and buy a few!

Meet Mrs. B., the owner and creator of Basalia’s Fine Fashions. She is wearing one of her creations, Chloe blouse and hi wasted pants. You can see some of her clothing in this shot. She began designing clothing in 2007, then took a break from Second Life. She returned to SL to find mesh designs and realized that she really loved making clothing. She designs styles that any adult woman would love to wear. Glam is the Word

Now and then I feel like dressing up with a formal flair. Today was a given once I unpacked a few gifts from Fameshed and shopped a couple of Hello Tuesday offerings. This came together so easily and I love this look.

A Little Romance

Putting together a stunning and classy look was easy today. My gown comes from Purple Moon and I am so happy to see this Poulet creating clothing again. The Octavia gown is gorgeous with its’ cut outs on the skirt and beguiling corset. For the Hello Tuesday Sale the gown is offered in this pale gold color. It is sized for Freya, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya.

Stylish Adornments

Kunglers always has intricately designed jewelry. Their free gift at the Fameshed Anniversary Round is a set of bracelets for each arm. The Wendy set comes with both a white/silver and a pink/gold version. They are delicate looking and can be used for many occasions. You must join the free Fameshed group to get the gift and have your tag active to access the location.

Cool in Lace

I love the sea and everything about it. Today I am waiting to be picked up by one of the Cousteau family to participate in a research study. I’m not sure what I’ll be studying yet but I may as well look cute while doing it!

A Time-Limited Sale

The 35L Sunday sale lasts until midnight. Some designers leave the sales items out for longer but I wouldn’t wait to shop it. My cute Elisiane shorts & lace top are from Patty C.K. There are quite a few details on the top like the strings/ties and the lace texture is well done. This is a fatpack including a hud with 60 texture change options to change the look on the strings, top, and shorts. The shorts have a frayed look with a lace up tie in the back that also encircles the waist. Centered over the navel is a cross. Pretty cool outfit.

A Hunting We Will Go

Ahh, it’s the weekend again. Time to relax and enjoy beautiful spring weather. When I checked the blog this morning I saw Aline’s Fabulous Finds post. I usually find something free or for a low cost. And often I find inspiration for a post. So, hats off to Aline, our fabulous & fearsome leader!

I set out on the Big Freeze Hunt after having SL eggs and spam for breakfast. First of all, this is a family hunt with prizes for dinkies, kids, and adults so it’s pretty easy to find the hunt object, an ice cream cone.

I popped into a new to me store “Let’s Get Weird” and scooped up this really cute top and jacket that features ice cream pops on both. There are gifts for both males and females (each costs just 1L). So, bring a friend or your partner. The female hunt prize comes as one piece; the top and jacket are all-in-one.

My dress, Evelyn, is the FLF offering from Fake Society for today. For me it’s a fresh take on similar styled dresses. From the spaghetti straps to the slightly ruched sides it may become one of my favs. And I adore the corset look with the ties.
