Big mistake. Big. Huge. I have to go shopping now.

For anyone who doesn’t know, the title of this post and my photo are a quote from the movie Pretty Woman starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere. If you have seen the movie, it will make sense. If you haven’t, well I highly suggest you add it to your movie list. The shopping scene is one of the best in the movie in my opinion.

That said, I feel like this is how I would have looked lugging home all of the free gifts at the current round of Vanity. I also of course happen to be wearing a few. All the gifts are free, you just need to join the Vanity event group. The group is free to join. I picked three of the many free gifts to share with you that I thought really went well together. The outfit I am wearing is from Queenz, my sunnies are from Avada, and this lip color is from GO Makeup. Lastly I also picked up a little bit of bling by Clever & Cool on the Marketplace to wear with these high-waisted pants. Keep reading for more details, and peep the credits at the end.

Queenz

I wouldn’t dare try to pull off all this white in my real life, however here in Second Life it’s such a win. This cropped top with ruffled sleeves, and the matching pants are the free gift at Vanity by Queenz. The pieces can be worn together or separately. Also, the top comes in a version sans the sleeves. The pants (since I cropped them out of the photo) are fitted through the waist and hips, then are a long loose-leg pant.

Avada 

The way a lot of people feel about shoes, I feel about sunglasses. There’s no such thing as too many pairs. These are the free Vanity group gift by Avada. They have resize scripts and a texture hud. The hud gives you 5 solid color choices for the frames, 7 options for the lenses, and 2 metal choices.

GO Makeup 

I love this mini HD lip palette by GO Makeup. It comes with 4 juicy red lip shades that scream summer. They also are free at Vanity with the Vanity group tag. This set comes in appliers for Catwa HD Lips and Genus HD Lips. For Catwa head wearers, this means you’ll need the free HD Lips add-on if you do not already have it. Clever & Cool 

Finally, I felt like this outfit needed a little something extra. Thankfully I came across this cute gemstone belly chain by Clever & Cool for just 25 linden on the Marketplace. It has resize scripts built in, as well as lots of texture choices. I think it looks pretty cute as a belt, and is well worth the paltry price tag. If this one isn’t your style, there are a few others with the same price point, as well as several other types of jewelry.

With today’s post I want to encourage everyone, myself included, to take the path of the lion. I understand that at times this is easier said than done. What inspired all this inclination toward courage and self love? My shirt believe it or not. This cropped tee was destined to become a staple in my wardrobe. It also happens to pair quite nicely with this earring artwork that has me kind of obsessed. The lion top is a 75 linden Marketplace bargain from a little shop called MicrO. I would encourage you to check there Marketplace store out. If the lion isn’t really your bag, there are several other versions available at MicrO with the same affordable price. I genuinely like the fit of this crop. It’s short enough to be sexy but I don’t feel like the girls are going to expose themselves if I move around too much.

Garmonbozia

I’m not sure how long  Garmonbozia has been around however I am excited about this new-to-me store find. Along with being aesthetically pretty, the jewelry there is truly wearable art. I even like that this free group gift earring is just a single earring, and not a pair. It’s eye catching and fierce. Though you can’t see it, I paired it with a simple stud in my other ear for symmetry. The Garmonbozia group is free to join.

Hear the Ocean

Spending my Saturdays in, on, or around the water has become my summer go-to. When it’s this hot and sunny out the waves are hard to resist, especially when Blue is able to join me for a day of splashing around in the waves and collecting shells. Read My Mind

If you could read my mind like the expression on my face would you know what I am thinking?

It was one of those nights out like I hadn’t had in a long while. Summer in the south means even the nights are hot, but not nearly as sweltering as the day. Just about any excuse to get out and take your mind of the heat after the sun has gone down is welcome. Street racing is a popular pass-time, and it brings with it an exciting atmosphere where one can socialize after dark. Afterward there’s always a favorite dive bar where everyone is welcome, even if you don’t drink, and people play pool all night long even though the table hasn’t been level in years. It was fun to get dressed up, and get out of the house for a reason that didn’t include grocery shopping. To see, and be seen.

Eternal Limited

This is one of those outfits that you dress up in for no one else. You wear it for yourself because it looks good, and you feel good in it. From the moment I put this dress on I felt like a sexy goth pinup ghoul, like it was made just for me. Depending on the lighting this sexy dress from Eternal Limited has the look of satin, latex, or leather. The purple flames on the skirt remind me of the custom paint jobs you see on vintage hot rods, and for me that is just icing on an already delicious cake. Because of the hip-high slits on either side of the dress I felt more comfortable wearing it like a long top with cute black skinny pants. Hello there Fab Free’rs! I was one of those kids that spent way too much time afraid of being called a nerd. I’d hide my love of books, fantasy, and anything that might label me as geeky, nerdy, or dorky. The funny thing is, all that hiding never gained me any popularity either. Now that I’ve fully embraced my nerdiness it’s pretty darn awesome if I do say so myself! Alongside my nerdy adoration of books I love fashion and can get especially geeky about a great bargain.

TRS Designs

For this look I picked up the free Stay at Home Club gift dress at TRS Designs. I have to say this dress is even cuter on than it is in photos. I really wish I’d picked this one up sooner. It has the loose fit of a t-shirt dress, with the added details of leather-like straps that come together in a Y shape in the back. I’m also loving the wine red and slate grey tie-dye. Down the hatch in one quick swallow! Hi Fab Free’rs! Welcome back to the blog. I’m sure you’re curious as to why I am about to swallow this cute pink letter z. It’s all because of Kiddo Oh, the owner/creator of Dead Doll formerly Dead Dollz. You may have heard that in June the iconic brand Dead Dollz was rebranded and became Dead Doll. Toes in the Sand

I don’t know about anyone else, but my Second Life summer is shaping up extremely nicely. As everyone knows by now I’ve been hitting the beach every chance I get. Thanks to Paper.Sparrow’s new Dog Days Hunt, I get to look extra cute while keeping my toes in the sand.

Live Your Best Life

I think I’m determined to visit every seaside spot on the grid. To say I am afflicted with wanderlust would be an understatement. This time Blue discovered a beautiful little slice of paradise where we could spend the days playing in the water and the evenings relaxing deckside watching the sun go down.

Do people even wait by the phone anymore? Or is that anxious, often giddy anticipation felt when waiting for the phone to ring a thing of the past?
