A Lucky Autumn Jewel

Hello Fabulous Readers!  The other day, Ripley and I were picking up items at a weekend sale over at Siss Boom, and I noticed two Lucky Boards on the wall.  They featured gorgeous cowl neck cropped sweaters in autumn shades.  Of course, with my canine good luck charm by my side, all I had to do was spend a bit of time waiting, then I scurried on home to try out my new sweaters.

As Pretty As the Changing Leaves

Isn’t this dark jewel tone lovely?  The gift box included fits for various mesh body styles and also a fit mesh version for classic avatars, but there was no alpha layer.  I went back to the pre-mesh Kat and the fit mesh worked just fine on my old shape.  I absolutely adore the rich hues in this cropped sweater; they are ideal for fall weather.  The intricate pattern is just so eye-catching!  You do have to be a member of the Siss Boom group to be able to win the free prizes from the Lucky Boards, but there are a ton of group gifts on the wall that you can pick up as well, so your 500L join fee will bring you some fantastic outfits.

Liquid Love

The iridescent latex is a pale rainbow or silver depending on your windlight. I think you can see it a bit in the picture. Either way it just shimmers! The dress comes with a hood that is attached separately and comes in a hood up or hood down version. All this for just 5 little Lindens!

Hello Fabulouses!  I’m popping in with a quick post to share another of the prizes that Ripley and I discovered at the Country Music Life Hunt which is currently running over at Brii Underground.  All in all, there are 10 complete outfits awaiting discovery in the store for just 6 Linden dollars each.  Since the event runs until September 30th, there’s still plenty of time for you do do some hunting of your own.

Call Me a Pollyanna, Do

My entire outfit from the tip of my cowboy hat down to my buckled high heel boots comes all neatly packaged inside prize box #08 in the hunt.  Featuring a three quarter length knotted shirt layered over a black bra and worn denim shorts, the Pollyanna outfit will have you all set to enjoy a late summer September day in the country.  The yoke and cuffs on the top are decorated with a wild west revolver print for that added cowgirl touch.  Faded denim shorts ride low on your waist and show off a bit of skin.  The boots come with slouchy socks to keep your tootsies plenty warm.  Both the socks and the bra are added with an Omega friendly applier.  Also included, but not worn in my photo is a make up layer and black bandana.  You get everything you need for this adorable ensemble all for the low price of just six Linden dollars and the time it takes you to seek out the hunt object.  Now that’s quite a deal!

Free “Bye Summer” group hunt at Safira

Hello again FabFree’ers, I hope you have all had a wonderful weekend wherever in the world you are right now.

I have some exciting news to share today – until Wednesday the 19th, there is a “Bye Summer” hunt at the new Safira mainstore.  You do need to be a group member, but the  group is currently free to join.  You just need to head to the Safira store, which is based on the revamped Scandalize sim, and find 10 watermelons (shown below left corner of the poster below) – thankfully these aren’t tiny, so they are pretty easy to spot – even for me!  Just remember to put your Safira tag on, buy each watermelon for 0L and run home to unpack all your boxes, in which you will find these goodies:

Most of the items appear to have a couple of options included.  I am showing you the floral option of dress #4, but it also comes in the floral/white combo shown on the poster above.  Zsa is a modest little soul so was particularly pleased that this dress, which is very short, comes with an integral “C string”, which comes with a texture change hud and the option to hide it if you wish.

As both Safira and Scandalize are currently holding group hunts on to celebrate the revamped sim, the sim has been very busy this weekend.  For this reason, the Safira hunt has been extended to the 19th.  If you find the sim full, just keep trying, you will get in eventually.  Prior to tp’ing in, I recommend you use the “show friends only” option if you are using Firestorm, and camming rather than trying to walk when you land – unless you are particularly skilled at walking in treacle while being catapulted around on a rubber band.  Sadly, Zsa missed that class at School of SL, so she cams everywhere – well, secretly, she cams everywhere because she is just plain lazy, but don’t tell her I told you that, it’s our secret, shhhh.

Hello there Fabulouses! I have three really cute group gifts to tell you about in my blog post today.  Now that I have started writing, I realize that I have no idea where to start since all three of these items are incredible.

Decisions, decisions

I love love love texture change huds but as an annoyingly indecisive Libran, they give me too many options to choose from and then require me to make – loud gasp – a decision!

I can honestly say that all the choices in the Roxanna hud are lovely, and all very different, both in the colour of the top and the pattern of the skirt.  Which of course made my decision even harder, but this combo kept calling to me, so one decision down.  Then I had the issue of finding the right shoes in the perfect shade, but that is another story for another day…..

Who says?  Honestly, this is one of those silly rules I grew up hearing.  Redheads must steer clear of wearing anything green.  Pfft.  Sometimes rules are just meant to be broken, and this is definitely one of them, and that is why Zsa is a proud to be a rebel!

Beautiful simplicity

Even though I disagree with the redhead/green rule, I am a big believer in the old adage that less is more, and this beautiful gown, one of the newest group gifts from Hilly Haalan, demonstrates this perfectly – so simple, so classy.  Hilly’s group gifts are always such a treat.  Nadia is a beautifully flowing gown that gives you an amazing silhouette, reminiscent of the movie stars of the 40’s.  As she often does, Hilly has generously given us not just one colour but a whole hud full – 15 colours in fact.  So, in effect, 15 beautiful gowns for free!

A Sunday Siesta

Hello there, Fabulous Readers…. don’t mind us…….Ripley and I are just having a bit of a siesta before we head off to run errands this afternoon.  The good thing about three day weekends?  You get to lounge around an extra day and take it easy.  The bad thing?  Both the work week and the next weekend feel SUPER short!  I am finding myself wondering just where this weekend went.  Does that ever happen to you?

Lazy Sunday Morning

Lucky for me, I didn’t have to work too hard to put together my outfit for today.  The talented (and generous) designer over at Brii Underground thoughtfully tucked *everything* (and I do mean everything) I’d need all into one neat package.  From head to toe, hat to boots, bandana to bracelets, I picked up my entire ensemble as a prize in the Country Music Life Hunt, which is currently running over at the Brii Underground store.  I blogged about another fantastic prize in this hunt {HERE}, and just like my last outfit, this one only cost me 6 Linden dollars and a bit of time scouring the store.  Although there is no version for classic avatars, the package contains styles for multiple mesh avatar bodies.  It even included sunglasses and Omega appliers for make up and a tattoo that I opted not to wear for my photo.  I really like the soft color scheme and casual style of the Cassie Country Style Outfit!

Twisted Persephone

Hello There Fab Free’rs! Aren’t you so glad the weekend is here? I know I am. Recently I posted about a fun Medieval dress that is a hunt gift at Moonlitcat Creations. Well, this fiery “Persephone” dress is yet another free hunt prize at Moonlitcat Creations. The Twisted Hunt, while frustrating at times, is a really fun hunt to participate in. That said, if you’re not familiar with the story behind Persephone, it’s worth looking up. I will tell you though, I like to think maybe they got the story wrong and she was in love with Hades from the start. They had such and unconventional, unfathomable romance that no one believed it. So the story was written that Persephone went with Hades to the Underworld against her will. That’s my version at least! Either way, it’s a beautiful story about why the seasons change. I hope you love this Persephone inspired look as much as I do!

The Dress – Before I tell you about the dress I want to mention that there is a matching male gift for the Twisted Hunt at Moonlitcat Creations. Both gifts are completely free, you just have to find them! This draped flame red dress has the appearance of bright glowing flames rising up the hem. The very low draping in the back of the dress is such that it is a completely backless dress. The dress comes in several mesh sizes. Renaissance Hunting

Hello hello Fab Free! I am glad you’re here, and I hope you are well. I’ve been doing pretty well, if I do say so myself. This is a busy time of year for me, so it’s nice to get away and have some fun here in Second Life. Speaking of fun, it’s been a little bit since I had a reason to dress up or role play. The Renaissance Hunt that recently started gave me the perfect opportunity to do just that. Just about everything in the above photo is a free Renaissance Hunt gift, can you believe it?! Keep reading and I’ll give you all the details.

The Dress – I know the dress shows a bit dark in this photo, but the details are really quite pretty. This Medieval style dress is the free TRH prize at Moonlitcat Creations. I’ll add a copy of the vendor photo for this lovely dress below. The details of the leather corset and the full skirt are very nicely done.
