Hello Fab Free! If you’ve ever seen the movie Ocean’s Eleven you’re familiar with Brad Pitt’s character in the film and the fact that he always had snacks. I find that very relatable. lol Thankfully Second Life makes it so easy to be indulgent. Today I got to indulge my fondness for food, and fashion.

Le Poppycock

This delicious looking pink drink and the corresponding bento pose are one of the many gachas from the “Guilty Pleasures” gacha set by Le Poppycock currently featured at The Pose Fair. These gacha poses are all various sweets and savory treats that I couldn’t resist spending a few lindens on. This Le Poppycock gacha is just 69 lindens per play, and since they are transferrable you can trade them. The Pose Fair is open until September 28th. Also, don’t forget there are free Pose Fair group gifts!

Afrotay

Now for the fashion! This cute red dress is a free group gift by Afrotay. I couldn’t resist the stylized snake graphic. I think it’s so interesting and unique. I also really like the way the shoulder straps come together in the back, and I am wishing I’d taken a photo of it to share with you. The dress comes in a pretty bright yellow color as well as this vibrant red. The Afrotay group is free to join, and there are multiple group gifts available.

Some days even though the air is hot and sticky, you just need to be outside in it. I can’t quite describe what is so calming about listening to the sounds of the world around you and simply existing in the stillness of a late summer afternoon.

Miix Event Gifts

Thinking Late Thoughts

Hello hello Fab Free! Are you ready for the new week to start? I’m not so sure I’m ready for Monday so I’ve been avoiding thinking about it too much by taking full advantage of the limited time free group join at Carol G. For a few days only the Carol G group will be free to join. There are quite a few male and female free group gifts, most if not all of which have been recently updated to include BOM layers. Also, there is a male and a female MM board that changes frequently.

I picked up this pretty red henna style leg tattoo for free by participating in the group only MM Board at Carol G. Once again, the free group join is a limited time thing, so if you’ve been waiting to join the group now is the time.

I don’t think anyone really sets out to become a “Crazy Cat Lady.” I think it’s something that sort of claims you. From the first kitten/cat that enters your life, the seed of cat lady-ness (or in some cases, crazy cat guy-dom)  germinates. I also think that from then on other cats know you’re now a “cat person” and they find you. Whether it be a stray kitten meowling for help in the parking lot where you work, or adoption ads from animal shelter pages on social media… they find you. Suddenly you find yourself in this situation, crouching on the floor with several of what you now refer to as your fur babies.

All the kitties aside, I do have some fantastic freebies to share with you. My top is a free group gift by UNA at the Itty Bitty Titty Committee event. My stylish bun is a freebie as well. It’s a free gift at SHEGO. Keep reading for details about both free finds, while I herd these silly cats into the kitchen for some food and water.

UNA

Yes, you read that right. There is an event titled Itty Bitty Titty Committee. It’s geared toward the recent influx of chest sizes choices with some of the female bodies. The important part here is that UNA has a free group gift at the event. This cute top is free to all UNA group members. There’s a group joiner at the IBTC event, and the UNA group is free to join. This top comes in quite a few sizes, and has a color/texture change hud with lots of options. There’s also a cool glowing UNA logo on the back of the shirt, and an optional glowing UNA pin that attaches on the front of the shirt.

SHEGO

Once again I’ve been doing some exploring in Second Life, and I’m glad I did. I came across a hair shop called SHEGO that has this ultra cute top bun for free. There’s no group needed, just purchase the hairstyle from the vendor for zero linden. This style comes with an Omega applier hair base, and a system layer hair base. The bun part of the style, and the side wisps are mesh.

It’s true, everyone cries. Sometimes you just gotta let it out, am I right?! Not only can I be a little bit of a cry baby at times, it also happens to be the title of a wonderfully terrible movie that I can’t help but love. Those two reasons were more than enough for me to pick up this group gift collar from Ruver. I also stopped by the current round of Cosmopolitan and picked up the event gift top by Serena.

This group gift choker/collar at Ruver comes in two sizes. One is fitted for Maitreya Lara, and the other is an unrigged version. You’ll find it waiting for you near the desk at the store. The Ruver group has a one time join fee of just 25 linden. My inner goth girl is thrilled with this find!

Cosmopolitan Event Gift

The low-cut long-sleeved cropped top is a free event gift at Cosmopolitan. The top is by Serena, and it comes in a few sizes. It’s the kind of top I really like having in my closet because it can easily be dressed up or dressed down. To get this gift you’ll need to join the free Cosmo event group and click the gift vendor just inside the entrance to the event.

Hello Fab Free. We’ve made it more than half way through the week, hallelujah! Recently I did a bit of wandering through Second Life and stumbled across the Tlalli event. I’d never been before. Let me just tell you, the setting for this shopping event is gorgeous. It’s a beautiful Latin themed event in a vibrant setting that made me feel like I had been transported to a quaint town in Mexico. The setting alone is well worth the visit to the Tlalli event. There I picked up a few of the gifts some vendors had out while enjoying the scenery. Speaking of gifts, I also picked up the new group gift at SPIRIT, and a thank you gift by Rosary. From here I’ll get to telling you about all these fabulous finds. I hope you enjoy them!

Tlalli Gifts

Zinnias

I think this llama succulent planter is just the cutest. It is a free gift at the Tlalli event by Zinnias. This little guy is completely free, just look for the gift box at the Zinnias booth at the Tlalli event. No group is required.

Cherry Bunny

If you’re wondering about the bright green sugar skull in my hand, it too is a gift at Tlalli. You’ll find this 5 linden gift at the Cherry Bunny booth. What is it? It’s a typer! Wear it and it will appear invisible until you begin to type in open chat. Then the sugar skull will appear in your hand, you’ll give it a little shake and appear to listen to it. So cute!

SPIRIT

Next up, this cute deep grey colored sweater is the newest group gift at SPIRIT. It could be worn as a dress or a top. I found it fit nicely over my Blueberry jeans (listed in the credits). The sweater has a hud with it that allows you to change the color of the cute side ribbons. The SPIRIT group has a join fee of 25 linden, and there are past group gifts available as well.

Hellooo there Fab Free! Does anyone else sometimes dress to fit their mood? I find a lot of the time my outfit is an almost direct reflection of how I am feeling or what I want to project. That said, these caticorns from Reed definitely suit my silly playful mood. Together the pose and the outfit are such a fun vibe. My playful pose is a group gift by Hazeel at the Pose Fair. I love it when I find free gifts that play well together!

Smile it’s September!

Can you believe that September is finally here?! I feel like it’s been the longest summer I’ve ever experienced. Needless to say I am counting the days until it’s officially fall. Although, I kind of do enjoy this bit of time at the end of summer when you can start to mix a bit of autumn attire in with your warm weather wardrobe. Pink Cream Pie

Pink Cream Pie put out this adorable turtle-neck sweater as their September group gift. I’m not sure whether the cute little critters across the chest are foxes or kitties, but just like the shirt says, they definitely make me smile. Red’s Little Secrets

I love the look of the this skirt from Red’s Little Secrets with the sweater. It’s a free gift for the Stay at Home Club. There’s no need need to join a group for this free gift, just click the vendor and click “deliver.” I do want to point out that it does stick through the sweater in the back a little, but not enough that it bothered me. Even so, this free skirt could go with so many things, it’s well worth the effort to pick it up. Also, Red’s Little Secrets has several Stay at Home gifts, including some male items.
