Hunting Butterflies

Hello hello, my FabFree Darlin’s! I know I’ve been lost out in the real world for the last few weeks and only now found my way back to the Grid. But I have a good reason. My BFF was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in her lung back in March and was finally able to have it removed the first week of May. I had to be there to get in the way and sneak real food into her hospital room and fetch whatever she needed. She’s my person, ya know.  But now I can say she is cancer free! 

Anyway… now I’m in a wonderful mood! Like skipping through the meadows dancing with the butterflies mood! So what do I do? I go on a Butterfly Hunt, of course. I found my cute little tank top over at The Bold Llama for just one linden and a little hunting. Camp Quarantine

Hello hello Fab Free! Yes, you are seeing things correctly, I am wearing a top made from masks. Honestly, even though it does make me laugh, I do kind of hope that this will be the way to wear masks one day sooner rather than later. Autumn Breeze

As I’ve mentioned before I may not celebrate what at least in the U.S. is considered a traditional Thanksgiving, but I do believe very much in practicing thankfulness. I am thankful for autumn weather, for the beauty of the season, thankful for love, and for friendship. Honestly, the more I think on it, the more I have to be thankful for. That is a very beautiful and fortunate thing. I also am so thankful I have the opportunity to be here doing something I enjoy, sharing awesome finds with all of you.

Clawtooth

For this post I have some bitter-sweet news. Clawtooth is closing for good at the end of the month. Bubbles Clawtooth, the designer behind the store, sent out a lovely sentiment explaining their appreciation for all that Second Life has given them, and their carefully made decision to move away from Second Life and on to other projects. What does that mean for us? The entire Clawtooth store is on sale at 70% off from now through the end of November. I am not at all ashamed to admit I spent a few more lindens than I needed to picking up some of the lovely hairstyles that will be gone forever once Clawtooth closes. There is also a free holiday hairstyle with no group needed, and I saw at least one group gift. No group is required for the sale, and gachas are included. Most of the hairstyles appeared to be priced between 45 – 66 linden per color pack, and gachas were averaging at 25 linden per play.

Fabulously Free in SL Group Gifts

Creeper

There’s something mystical and magical about a cemetery from my perspective. Perhaps it’s the palpable stillness, and the haunting quiet. Whatever it is, to me cemeteries feel like the kind of place where anything could happen. The often elegantly carved statues, headstones, and grave markers with their memorial inscriptions give a cemetery an almost romantic ambiance. My macabre fancies aside, I am excited to share some fabulous finds from Paper.Sparrow and Asura with you!

The Last Days of Summer

Some days even though the air is hot and sticky, you just need to be outside in it. I can’t quite describe what is so calming about listening to the sounds of the world around you and simply existing in the stillness of a late summer afternoon.

Hear the Ocean

Spending my Saturdays in, on, or around the water has become my summer go-to. When it’s this hot and sunny out the waves are hard to resist, especially when Blue is able to join me for a day of splashing around in the waves and collecting shells. One Day I’ll Fly Away
