The Summer of Swimwear

I may just have to proclaim this the summer of the bikini!  I’ve been stocking up bit by bit on some great swimwear, and yet my hoard just keeps growing.  I love having all these different options to wear to the beach, and this one sure is a fab addition!

Neon in the Dark

A Froot Loop in a World of Cheerios

The reams of writing that has taken place over the years about the importance of the little black dress is longer than I care to imagine.   Any nattering I can do about the importance of one is only sure to muddy the waters of deep thinking about how one must needs have a LBD for any occasion.  Instead, perhaps I’ll discuss how much I love Froot Loops.  And then, I’ll wonder what human sat down to think it would be cool to write the word “froot” instead of “fruit”.  These are the things that keep me up at night!

Lucky Girl

A Change of Pace

It was high time to head to the beach.  After a long day of work, buried under pages and pages of who knows what drivel,  I looked at my watch and thought “you know…I need some vitamin sea today”.  I put on my unnecessarily complicated sandals (but so fashion!) and slipped into something summery then headed down to feel a bit of warmth.  I was ever so glad to have brought my camera with me, just so I could capture a bit of summer and carry it with me wherever I went afterwards.  A few snaps of palm fronds will keep me going until I can escape again!

Feeling Lucky

I was a bit inspired for some warmth today after I saw the newest lucky boards at Luas.  This cute little outfit had me dreaming of warmer climes the minute I saw it (you have the option to add or remove the tied jacket)!  To gain access to the lucky boards at Luas, just join their group for 50L, then wait for your letter to come up!  There are also loads of really great group gifts for you to pick up while you’re there, making this group join fee ever so worth it.

Roman Sandal Empire

Looks like Empire are having a bit of an item retirement sale at the moment.  The store isn’t shutting down, but all items in the store are on sale before they disappear forever, making room for the new.  Pretty much ever pair of shoes and accessories are 199L (some 99L!) for fatpacks, which is an awesome deal.  However, what caught my eye was the 35L per pull gachas you’ll find at the back of the store.  I got these awesome sandals as well as the fun glasses for just 35L each.  Worth a shot!

A Return to Darkness

Back in my early days of Second Life-ing, I was straight up a goth girl.   Probably because it’s the complete antithesis of who I really am, and it was fun to explore all the deep, darkness of it all.  I know I’ve blathered about this before, about being who you want to be in SL, etc.  But what I do want to touch upon is how FabFree made me realise that I didn’t have to have just one style.  When I started blogging here back in 2017, I realised that there were so many different freebies hanging around the grid that I could play around with, and since that moment I haven’t really looked back – I just get what I like!  But it is nice to revisit old friends, isn’t it?

The Deep Dark

I’m getting that Morgan le Fay feeling today (you know, when she’s an antagonist), and bubbling up some magical devilry in the depths of the earth.  To get this look, I need look no further than the Vanity Event.  They’ve got a bunch of gifts peppered around at different stalls, and they’re all free.  You don’t even need to join a group here, just click on the boxes and bags, and they’re yours.  I got this gorgeous gown over at the TOG display.  It comes in both black and white versions, and also has a pair of shoes included (not pictured).  Who doesn’t need a good gown?
