Hello Fab Readers! I hit the hunt trail again this weekend and discovered a cheery dress that I picked up completely for free. All I had to do was invest a small amount of time doing some “birding” (more on that below) and it was completely worth it.

This vibrant frock is the first free hunt prize from GGVG in The Free Dove’s September Hunt. It features an off-the-shoulder fit, layered sleeves, and a slightly flared skirt. In addition, the generous designer included a texture change HUD with 20 bold selections for the floral print. Honestly, it was hard to choose my favorite one for the photo! There are five gifts from GGVG concealed on the Free Dove sim (I found this beauty there) and an additional 5 scattered throughout the GGVG main store location. In order to collect the items, you need to be a member of The Free Dove group, but it’s completely free to join. You’ll be searching for a small, reddish-brown, and yellow feathered friend. The hunt runs through September 30th.

Hello, Fab Free! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. After some retail therapy, I spent the afternoon at the beach today, enjoying the last burst of summer. The beginning of September is always bittersweet to me. I look forward to the crisp days of fall, but I’m never really ready for the change of seasons. Pretty soon, it will be time to pack crop tops and shorts away and pull out cozy sweaters and long pants. For today though, I am rocking my latest hunt find and a cute pair of shorts.
Loving that Dragon!
This adorable crop top from Grumble features bright pops of color splashed over a black background and slender shoulder straps that allow my skin to soak up the sun. I really love the jewel tones in the pattern, which draws inspiration from the theme of the Love the Dragon Hunt 2. Both Jacx and I have already shared hunt items here and here, but with 42 stops along the way, there are plenty of other budget-friendly goodies hidden on the trail. Each hunt prize has a 3L price tag, but the sponsor fees are for the IKSDP Harambee project Gwassi Kenya schools. It feels good to scoop up some new items for my wardrobe and support a worthy cause at the same time. The event runs through September 30th.

Happy Weekend, Fabulous Readers! In my part of the world in RL, this is a three-day weekend, and boy, did I need an extra day off. Of course, I had to spend part of the holiday weekend hunting for SL bargains. Inspired by Jacx’s post here, I decided to set off down the trail of the Love the Dragon Hunt 2. Now, this is not a free hunt, but the dress I came away with was well worth the tiny asking price.
Fit for a Fairytale
It took me a while, but after I finally discovered the hunt object at Telsiope’s Couture (an adorable dragon plushie), I paid the 3L fee, then eagerly teleported home to pop open the Agatha Dress. Wow, oh wow, do I love this stunning gown! The sleeveless frock features a plunging neckline, flowing cape/train, and a full, floor-length skirt. The designer even included a color change HUD so you can customize your look. While I opted for an all-white design, you have six hues to choose from and can apply them separately to the cape, top, skirt, and belt to create a variety of combinations. The only caveat is this dress is made specifically for the Maitreya mesh body. With a bit of searching time and just a few Linden dollars, you can come away with a lovely outfit perfect for a formal event or heck, even a stroll through nature – this is SL after all. 🙂 The hunt runs through September 30th.

Each sponsor has hidden 5 gifts throughout Free Dove and 5 at their own main stores, so with a small investment of time and a bit of sleuthing, you could come away with 30 additions to your SL wardrobe. Now that’s a major win in my book!

CCCCOOOOFFFEEEEEE! Is the only way for a college student to survive. It’s the pick me up, the all nighters best friend, hangover cure, and just what the Doctor ordered. Man did I need my morning pick me up after a long night of partying. I had to find something to wear of course, before I go out, and grab my morning cup of Joe. I pulled on my grey Hawker’s House shorts, they smell clean enough. Then ravaged through my drawers, looked under the bed, was left with the only clean shirt I had. My loud awesome go to Boyberry summer party shirt. Then I slipped on my Ellison Coastal sandals from Rebellion as I grabbed my Vespa keys and went out the door.
Rode to the best place to get coffee near campus. Then your left deciding what to order of course. Hmm…Double Double, French Vanilla Cappuccino, The Gretzky, Chocolate Timbits Iced Capp, Doubleshot on Ice, White Mocha Frappuccino, Skinny Cinnamon Dolce Latte, or perhaps the Espresso Frappuccino. I went with just the simple Double Double for now. MMmmm…man did I need that. Nothing like that warm caffeine coursing through your veins to get you ready for a long day of classes. BTW if you like my outfit, the entire thing is free.

I think one of the constants in my life has certainly been the colour pink. It has made it’s way through all the important places – from beadspreads and pink walls when I was young, to pink journals and pens in my teens, down to extremely cute dresses today! This dress has everything I ever wanted all in one place!
Grumble About It
The Kink in Pink Hunt is in full swing right now, and Grumble are taking part, along with a whole bunch of other stores. Now I must warn you, the Kink in Pink Hunt is quite adult, and you’ll find lots of adult offerings on the “A Town Called Short Leash” sim. I hunted high and low for the little hearts in the sim, and found this one from Grumble that contains a quite sexy dress. I was so excited about the shininess and the fact that there are 15 different textures to choose from in the HUD ranging from this one (that makes me think of sticker collections) to unicorns, bows and a few different plain pink hues. To grab it, just hunt for the heart and then buy for 25L. There are lots of things to hunt for on the Kink in Pink Hunt, so make sure you check out their website for all the hunt keys (keeping in mind some of them are *quite* adult).

Hi Again Fab Free’rs! I call this look “when it’s laundry day but you still wanna look cute for Easter.” hahaha Really, I had a lot of fun with a few more finds from The Rotten Egg Hunt, and this fun “Need Laundry” pose by DANU. I picked up this cute top at The Rotten Egg Hunt, it’s by Secret Oktober. Also while at The Rotten Egg Hunt I picked up a really pretty crescent shaped bindi by Valika Rituals. The Pose – This fun laundry pose is a Marketplace find by DANU. It’s just 37 linden and it includes a pose-ball pose, and the laundry basket prop. The basket comes white, but I tinted it darker. I also needed to shrink it down to fit between Pru’s hand and hip, which was easy to in edit mode since the basket does not have any scripts. Have fun, and do your laundry!
The Top – Secret Oktober has 5 versions of this cropped bunny sweater at The Rotten Egg Hunt. I was excited to find the number 5 egg and get the bunny with the spider. It felt a little bit like Easter and a little bit like Halloween, which suits my exceedingly eclectic tastes. lol These tops are just 10 linden each, and come in a Maitreya fit only.
The Bindi – This pretty little bindi by Velika Rituals is one of the dollarbie Rotten Egg Hunt prizes. At just 1 linden, it is way too nice to pass up. I’m loving accessories that are free of scripts like this one, sometimes simple really is best. You can resize, and even change the color of this bindi by using the edit menu. Just don’t forget to make a copy first!

Hello hello Fab Free’rs! It’s been one of those days IRL and I’m thankful that I have my SL to escape to! I’m also super glad you’re here and I get to share some cool Goth Garage Sale Hunt finds with you. This hunt definitely caters to the gothic, wicked, and witchy among us (as the name would suggest). Pru is living out one of my goth/rockabilly fashion fantasies with this look. The GGS Hunt is a 5 linden hunt, meaning each prize is 5 linden. This hunt is taking place at the Goth Garage Sale event. The item you’ll be hunting for is a little black kitty with glowing yellow eyes. Some of the participating vendors have hidden their hunt item within their store booth. Some vendors also have their hunt item hidden on the even grounds near their booth. It was my experience that most items were “hidden in plain sight.” So keep an eye out for those glowing yellow eyes!
The Hair – I think this hairstyle from EscalateD is so fun. It’s a little bit pin-up, a little bit punk-rock, and a whole lot of fun! It is EscalateD’s 5 linden Goth Garage Sale Hunt prize. The style comes with a cool dip dye hud with dark hair that has several brightly colored “dips.” There is also a color change hud for the hair bow.
The Necklace – The Little Bat has this beautiful necklace for their Goth Garage Sale Hunt prize. Purchase their hunt prize and you will receive the neck;ace and a texture/color change hud. The hud has 14 gemstone colors to choose from. The necklace also has resize scripts.
The Septum Piercing – This simple captive bead nose ring is one of two Goth Garage Sale Hunt prizes from Astara. This silver version is just 5 linden and it includes a color change hud for the captive bead. The other Goth Garage Sale Hunt prize from Astara is the same piercing in gold.
The Pillows – These cute pillows are the OOPS Goth Garage Sale Hunt prize. For just 5 linden you get a set of unscripted decorative pillows, and a hold-able version. The hold-able version has a texture change hud so you can choose which version of the pillow you want. The decorative pillows can be manually sized.
The Dress – The mid-thigh length dress Pru is wearing is the Goth Garage Sale Hunt prize by WitchCraft. The dress includes a color/texture change hud with 3 different variations of this geometric galaxy print. This 5L prize comes in sizes to fit Maitreya Lara, Slink Physique, Slink Hourglass, and eBody.
The Nails – The intentionally chippy manicure Pru has is from the Goth Garage Sale Hunt prize by Dark Passions. This “Koffin” nails hud gives you 6 vampy pastel polish shades in a chipped or solid option. The appliers will work for fingernails as well as toenails. There is a Slink applier, a Maitreya applier, and an Omega applier included.

Hello hello Fab Free’rs! I’m back in the pool and loving it thanks to the Beached Bunny 8 Hunt. I picked up two of the BBH8 items to get pool-ready. The super cute swimsuit is from JellyRoll, and the fun doughnut float is from Harambee. I also picked up this cute summer hairstyle from Beusy. Keep reading for all the information on how to get your copy of these freebies and dollarbies. By the way, the hunt item is a little blue sand pail.
The Swimsuit – When I saw the little flamingos on the ad for this swimsuit by JellyRoll, I knew it was for me! If you’re not quite so excited about flamingos, the suit has a texture change hud with a blue and white tropical hibiscus print. This summer swimsuit is the 1 linden BBH8 hunt prize at JellyRoll. Also, there is an alpha layer included for classic avatars.
The Doughnut Float – I am honestly not really into eating sugary pink doughnuts with sprinkles, but when I see them in a non-edible form, I find them almost irresistibly cute. This little gem of a pool float is another BBH8 dollarbie prize. You can hunt it down at Harambee. The float has several animated poses, one of which even has a cell phone prop. All the poses are adjustable, and the float gently turns while you relax. It also comes in 3 colors, the pink color shown, a blue version, and a lilac version.
Hint: Listen to your soul by playing the Talking Drums.
The Hair – I really like this double braid hairstyle from Beusy a lot. It’s a current free group gift and comes in a wide range of color options. There is also a stylist hud that lets you wear the hairstyle with or without the bangs, and with or without the little fly-away hairs over the ears. You can also adjust the size of this hairstyle by manually editing it. Right now the Beusy group is free to join, so don’t miss out on this adorable summer hairdo.

The Summer Loving hunt is well underway, and I found this amazing offering from Vanilla Bae! When I wore it out I felt as though I could take on the entire world. Plus the little grommet openings allowed for plenty of air ventilation! (BAHAHA, couldn’t help myself) But seriously folks, it’s really eye-catching isn’t it? This freehunt prize comes in 3 different colours (Rose, Cream and the Smoky colour I’ve got on). You can grab your own by hunting for the little beach ball in the main store and voilà: The world is your oyster!
