A brat?! Who me? Maybe just a little bit. lol For today’s post I have 3 goodies to share with you, the Cae Saturday Sale item, a free group gift by Beautiful Hustler, and a free wearable demo from Alaskametro.

For the Saturday Sale only, Cae has out a sassy choker/collar that reads “brat” in pretty cursive. It’s highly detailed, and marked just 75 linden. Next up for this post, Beautiful Hustler has a new free group gift out. This long sleeve slightly cropped top and the glittery striped pants are free to all Beautiful Hustler group members. Oh hey there Fab Free! I took a few days off to enjoy the searing heat of this summer, but I did see some pretty things and enjoy myself while I was melting like an Aline-sicle in the 39 degrees Celsius temps. Whatevs, I’m back on the deal-finding train right now, which took me to a place I’ve always dreamed of – the land of cat-themed clothes! Happiness!

We are all well versed in the magic of SL Marketplace. You type a few words in and you’ll find all your heart desires, in varying degrees of affordability. That’s how I came across Sugarplum Boutique, while looking for random stuff. They have a whole bunch of very affordable pieces in their MP store, and I fell in love with the Meow Dress (50 Lindens – comes in sizes XXS-L with an alpha layer, as well as a white version included) and Cat Headband (20 Lindens). The shop is crammed full of cuteness, so make sure you check them out!
Hello there, Fabulouses, and Happy Monday! This morning, the pupster and I enjoyed a walk on the beach on the Miss C sim before diving in to our work week. I can’t imagine a better way to start the day than a stroll across damp sand while waves roll in and the cries of seagulls fill the air.
Just a Dollar…
Today, I’m wearing another of our recent hunt discoveries, and I picked it up for just one Linden dollar. This time, we were exploring the trail of the Around the Grid Hunt, and when Ripley led me to the hot air balloon hunt object, I happily paid the fee and scooped up my prize. The Tia Tropical Knotted Tank from Sparrow by Design features narrow shoulder straps and a fun parrot/jungle flora print. The generous designer also included a texture change HUD, which allows you to select from three overall hues. I opted for the pale purple, but you could also select a brown or a green color scheme. The neckline of the top dips quite low, so you might want to consider a longer hairstyle for extra coverage. The texture of the knot and the folds in the fabric are really well done. This top is a real cutie!

Hello there, Fabulouses! Ripley and I put his talented nose to the test today and headed down the trail of the Lazy Summer Day Hunt. Our first discovery over at Lindy Modern and Retro Shoes actually inspired my outfit. I hope you are in the mood to think pink, because that’s where my mind went. The best part? My entire outfit cost just $26 Linden dollars!
The Inspiration
After locating the lounge chair hunt icon concealed inside Lindy Modern and Retro Shoes, I was inspired to put together this entire look just based on these cute Kendra sneakers. My picture does not do justice to the intricate designs on the canvas of the sneakers, so I’ve included the vendor close up below. I immediately fell in love with the delicate white blossoms and stitched swirls. The white piping, sole and lacing are just perfect for completing the look of this casual set of footwear. They are designed to fit classic avatars as well as Slink and Maitreya mesh feet. A shoe base and alpha layer are tucked inside the folder. To add these shoes to your inventory, all you have to do is find the hunt object and pay the teensy 1 Linden dollar price. There is a hint giver in the shop if you don’t have a super sniffer dog 😉 or if you need a nudge in the right direction.
You Can Never Go Wrong With a Little Pink
The other day, I told you about a group gift that I had picked up just for being a member of the Safira Store Group, and I mentioned how there are 64 past gifts up for grabs. Well, this adorable Mindy top is one of those free gifts. Of course, I chose pink to coordinate with my new footwear, but with the included texture change HUD, I had the option to go with five prints or four other solid colors. It’s like getting ten tops in one package! Its ruffled trim on the hemline really ups the cuteness factor! It is designed exclusively for the Maitreya mesh body. You do have to be a member of the Safira Store Group to receive this gift, and there is a 50 Linden dollar join fee, but there are a LOT of other goodies available to members, plus group-only lucky boards, so I am super happy that I joined.
But You Said 26 Linden Dollars…
The final touch for my summer day outfit was a new pair of Worn Denim Shorts that I picked up on the Marketplace at the Bang Bang shop for 25 Linden dollars. They are short but not too short and feature folded up cuffs and a beaded belt around the waist. The jeans texture on these shorts is really well done and the stitching and button closure are very realistic looking. The folder contains versions for classic as well as mesh avatars. I’m sure these will become a summer time fave of mine!

Hello Fabulouses and Happy Fourth of July to our readers in the USA! Ripley and I found a lovely spot for a picnic on the Summer Edge sim…. a place far away from those noisy fireworks that freak him out in RL. All those booms, whistles and crackling sounds make him so nervous, so I will be keeping him close until the evening’s celebrations are through tonight. I saw an article online about an animal shelter where people spend the evening with lawn chairs and treats, providing comfort to the homeless canines on the 4th of July, and I thought that was such a wonderful idea! If Ripley wasn’t so upset by the noises in real life, I’d love to help out too.
No Stars, but I Did Find Stripes
Earlier today, the pupster and I spent some time over at the Ghee store seeking out red anchors concealed throughout the sim as part of the Ahoy There Ghee Nautical Hunt. Each item costs 10 Linden dollars, and we are showing you two of the 40 + items you can scoop up at the hunt. First, I’d like to draw your attention to my navy colored sailor shorts. They feature a high-waisted, curve hugging fit, and two columns of golden buttons. Three vertical seams add a realistic touch to the fabric. With a coordinating combination of navy and white stripes, the nautical stripe top completes my outfit. This little number ties on the sides and boasts spaghetti thin shoulder straps. It provides coverage in all the right places but also leaves plenty of opportunity to soak up the sun. If navy blue isn’t your color, there is also a lighter blue version of the top and shorts as well as red concealed separately as part of the hunt. I really liked the darker blue hues in these two hunt prizes, so for a total of just 20 Linden dollars, I was quite pleased with my nautical look. The hunt runs through July 31st, so you have plenty of time to do some sleuthing of your own!

It’s the time of the year when I give thanks for all things maple syrup! Up here in the North, we’re celebrating with barbecues, face paint, fireworks and hot Prime Ministers! Up here in the True North, Strong and Free we like our beer, our nature and all sorts of cool stuff like poutine, ketchup chips and toques! You guys do realize that this is the one day of the year I throw as many Canadian stereotypes at you as I possibly can, so hunker down on your chesterfields and grab your nanaimo bars, cuz we’re about to do it up Canuck-style!

I trawled through Marketplace for just the right outfit to celebrate this most auspicious of days, and came up with a really cute jumpsuit by [sYs]. Their marketplace store is chock full of great dollarbies, and this one I’ve got on is no exception. I topped off my look with the “Oh Canada” headband by Sugarplum Boutique which only cost 10L. Isn’t it the cutest? Perfect for singing O Canada and waving flags emphatically while grinning at my pet moose. Speaking of flags, I grabbed this little animated Canadian flag by Persephone’s Grove for only 15L on marketplace as well, rounding out a nice lot of dollarbies and cheapies for my long weekend!
