Happy Victoria Day weekend, FabFree! Cheers to a 3 day weekend for all the Canadians out there! This a fun little holiday we have down in Canada which is generally seen as an opening weekend for all things summer. Lots of Canadians open up their cottages this weekend or host a celebratory summer party or barbeque. In case you didn’t know, Victoria Day in Canada celebrates Queen Victoria, one of Britain’s longest-reigning monarchs in history. This holiday is a uniquely Canadian tradition and Canadians have been celebrating the Monday before May 25th as a celebration of Queen Victoria since 1845.

I love learning (well anything but math!). While scrounging around in my recent inventory I came across one of the gifts from the Inov Event. It’s name is Foulard. I was thinking a foulard was something like a faux-pas or maybe something a fool might do. Man, I was way off. It turns out that foulard is a lightweight plain-woven or twilled silk usually decorated with a printed pattern. That’s your fashion lesson for today fabbies!

My necklace is from Luova, There are exciting things happening over at Luova, specifically that the group is currently free to join. What’s more, by joining the group you can access a free 250L store credit because Luova ever so generously gives this free credit to it’s group members every month! Exciting, right? I did a scan around the store to scope out what I might like to purchase with my free credit, and I decided on this sweet choker. And that’s when I discovered ANOTHER exciting thing. Isn’t this how you look when your at the grocery store? I mean if you grew up watching “What Not to Wear” you know that you should not wear sweatpants to the grocery store…LOL, as if.
I wanted to show you another Marketplace Haul, starting with these super cute pink cropped slacks from Coco that are free, they have a step hem that makes them very unique, I paired it with a blouse from FLRN Design, of course I love floral and the polka dots add a whimsy element to this outfit. The blouse has the old mesh size options (not rigged) however the alpha layer that comes with it works great if your using BOM on your body.
To finish the look I found the pumps from La Perla, the checkered pattern is a bit unexpected but I love how it all turned out for only 11L!
