Hello there Fab Free’rs! We’re a week in to January and I’m already in need of some retail therapy. Surely I am not alone in this. January group gifts to the rescue! Seriously though, I feel like a badass boss babe in this group gift dress by Byrne, and these killer group gift sunglasses by Psycho Barbie. I’m a big fan of the colorful brocade-like pattern on this dress from Byrne. It comes in this “berry” version shown, and a second equally awesome “purple” version. I’m also really digging the sleeve length and the mock-turtleneck. The Byrne group is free to join, and you can pick this free group gift up in the past notices. While scrolling through Flickr I came across the ad for these sunnies by Psycho Barbie and I had to have them. Had to. They are the latest group gift at Psycho Barbie, and they have quite a few style options for the lenses. Also they have resize scripts, hallelujah! Sometimes I swear I am the embodiment of one of those memes you sometimes see where there’s a girly princess on one side and a broody goth type on the other, and it suggests that each is one side of the same person. I identify with that meme so darn much! So here we are, dark and broody, but loving the bright wintery holiday season. Speaking of the up-coming holiday, this feather trimmed little black dress is a free group gift at COCO that would be amazing for a swanky Christmas party. I love this dress by COCO. It’s simple, it’s elegant, and the feathered hemline is a welcome departure from the fur trim that is ever popular this time of year. It is also absolutely free with the COCO group tag. You can join the COCO store group for free, and pick up a few of the past group gifts as well if you haven’t already.
Eudora Beauty has a gorgeous bom layer and Lelutka applier skin for the Lelutka Lilly gift head that you can get for just 60 linden per skin tone during the 60L Happy Weekend Sale this weekend only. The “Lillian” skin at Eudora Beauty is a head applier/bom layer only. You’ll need to purchase the body applier/layer separately. Which given the full price of skins, is still one heck of a deal! This skin will also work with any of the Lelutka Evolution heads. Also, I used the browless option that is included with this skin and wore one of the brow options included in the HUD for the Lelutka Lilly head.
If I’m being accused of enjoying the freebies I picked up at The Jail event, guilty as charged! I know I know, I already did a post about the event, and the fact that they’re having an anniversary. I just couldn’t help sharing a few more of the fantastic gifts. Simply Saddii
I really like this little black dress by Simply Saddii, and not just because it’s free at The Jail event. I like the style of the dress, and I feel like it has just the right amount of whimsy without being too juvenile for my taste. Again, this dress is free, just wear your Jail event group tag and click the gift vendor at the Simply Saddii both.
The chest tattoo I’m wearing is the freeJail event gift by Immortuos. It reads “guilty” and I find it dark, a little bit cheeky, and really well done. It also comes in “irritation” levels which gives it some added detail that most lettering tattoos. The irritation shows as the redness around a freshly inked tattoo or perhaps skin irritation around the letters for some other reason.
Finally, the planchette and hold pose used for this photo is part of the free gift by Dark Love at The Jail event. The gift includes 4 planchettes, each with a different hold pose. I thought this gift was just too cute to not share. The planchettes also have a little particle effect. They emit cutely sinister looking little particles while you hold the planchette.
Hello There Fab Free’rs! Once again I’m feeling very in the spooky spirit of the season. I a few more of the many many many Halloween Shop & Hop gifts. I created this almost pretty possessed look using the gift skin from YS&YS, the gift dress from Luas, and the septum piercing gift from RAWR!. I really hope you have some fun with these freebies.
YS&YS
I can’t help but love this free skin from YS&YS at the Halloween Shop & Hop event. Even with her scarred face, she’s still a pretty chick. This would be such a fun skin to create a story around. This free gift includes BOM layer full skins, face only BOM layers. There are also variations to suit Genus, Lelutka, and Catwa heads. There are also two pairs of BOM layer eyes, the “blind” eyes shown and a creepy cool black pair.
This skeleton print dress is the free gift at the Halloween Shop & Hop by Luas. The “Donna” dress comes in a full fatpack with lots of HUD based color choices. Even with the exposed shoulders the dress has an almost cozy look to it that makes it a cool addition to any fall wardrobe.
Lastly, the planchette septum piercing from RAWR! was just the added touch this look needed. It’s also free at the Halloween Shop & Hop event. Included with the piercing is a color change HUD that gives you several options for the metal ring and the planchette part of the piercing.
Alright so I’m gonna call this look a little bit Flash Dance, and a little bit Cats. haha I actually had a lot of fun dressing up and taking photos in this, especially since the outfit is completely free. I picked up the top, bottom, and adorable socks for free at Voluptas Virtualis. As soon as I put the outfit on I felt nostalgic for those iconic ’80s and ’90s dance movies. Maybe it’s time for a movie marathon? haha
This awesome gift from Voluptas Virtualis is free for everyone. The matching “Hadi” top and bottom come in female sizes only, however the fuzzy socks come sized for male avatars as well as female. Both gifts are packaged together. Just click the vendor near the landing point and the gift will be sent to you. The “Hadi” set has a color/texture change hud with some fun tiger stripe options and solid colors. You can also hide/show the trim or color it separately. The socks have a color/texture change hud with lots of options. Also, if kitty feet aren’t your thing, fear not, there are solid color choices as well as stripes. I have no idea how long this gift will be available, so don’t wait!

I’ve been feeling indulgent today, feeling the need to drag myself up out of the doldrums quarantine can sometimes bring me to. There are days when an extra cup of coffee or two first thing in the morning, and a mid-day pick-me-up are in order to keep me going. So when I saw this top by ZFG it made me giggle, and I knew at least some of you would relate. lol To help fend off a minor case of the Mondays I went over to the 35L Sales Event (thanks to a suggestion from Blue) and picked up quite a few of the free group gifts available, including this top. This shirt by ZFG is the definition of a loose-fitting comfy casual top. It’s the kind you wear around the house, or maybe with a cute sports bra to the gym. This high ponytail hairstyle is also a free gift at the 35L Sales Event. It’s the quintessential messy but cute up-do. It also comes with a pretty flower crown that I chose not to wear, and a color change hud with a broad range of blond, brunette, and red hair colors.

Also, I couldn’t resist the necklace from Venge. This free gift includes 3 color/texture change huds to change the chain with a choice of copper, gold, or silver. It’s called Diza, and it comes in a “Special” color pack. I tinted mine to this dark brunette shade using the Limerence hud. I also got this tasty cupcake from the Focus Poses gift. This delicious freebie includes the pose as well.
American Bazaar
I love the casual yet put together look of this loose fitting floral top/dress by American Bazaar. Look at those buttons! It the group gift for the month of May. It claims to be a dress, however it’s a tad sheer in places, and a little short, so I threw on some denim shorts and wore it as a top instead. I think it’s too cute to pass up however you want to wear it. The American Bazaar group is free to join.

Hello hello Fab Free, I hope you’re all doin well. I am making it a day at a time. I think we all are in some form or fashion. Speaking of Fashion, I’m loving this yellow moment. I took a time out in SL, browsed through some shops, and just had some me time. Along the way I also picked up these yellow shoes by Thrive, and this honey bee patterned top by Kieran Stephens Designs for free. Something about the bright warm yellow colors really uplifted my mood, and the “free” aspect didn’t hurt. Lastly, keeping with the yellow theme, this cozy chair from Consignment is just 1 linden. I have a thing for yellow-work boots. Call it nostalgia, call it weird, call it whatever you like, I love them. These “B-Ball Sneakers” by Thrive remind me exactly of that shade of work-boot-yellow. This buttery yellow chair by Consignment is quite possibly one of my favorite dollarbie finds. Blue’s had it in the house as long as I’ve known him and I’ve always liked it. Today he let me in on the dollarbie secret. We double checked, and sure enough it’s still just 1 linden at Consignment. It has couples and singles animated poses, PG of course, and the textures are nice. To get yours you’ll need to find the vendor for this chair at Consignment, the vendor is small. It’s on the second level of the displays. You’ll see what I mean when you get there if you’ve not been before. There’s no group needed, just pay the vendor 1 linden and your chair will be sent to you.
