I Got Ya Art Right Here

Can you read the sign? O.M.G. Art for free? You betcha! Mrs. B., one of our fabulous designers, let me know about The Free Museum. You can see a preview of some of the works in her store, Basilia’s Fine Fashions and grab landmarks to the museum. The brainchild behind the museum(s) is Haiku Quan who had the following to say:

“The Free Museum and the Second Free Museum contain works by some of the very best artists in Second Life. And every artwork here is free. You are welcome to take as many as you like. There is nothing for sale, and there are no tip jars. This is simply my way of giving back to you, the people of Second Life who make this such a fascinating world. And to introduce you to the incredible quality of the fine art being created in Second Life.”

As you wander the museums you may recognize some of the artists whose work is available to all for free. There is something for everyone’s taste.

One of my favorites is the Crococar by Cica Ghost. It’s just my style cause every Cajun gal needs one! Alpha Auer is the creator of the group of musicians seen on the right. There are sooo many beautiful pieces to choose from. If you can’t decide just grab all of them!

Here are a few samples of what you can find there. It’s fun to visit the museums and soak up some culture. There are 2 museums as noted above. make sure you visit both of them. I was a little disappointed because there was no wine & cheese to be found. Oh well, cest la vie!

Silky Dreams

I love learning (well anything but math!). While scrounging around in my recent inventory I came across one of the gifts from the Inov Event. It’s name is Foulard. I was thinking a foulard was something like a faux-pas or maybe something a fool might do. Man, I was way off. It turns out that foulard is a lightweight plain-woven or twilled silk usually decorated with a printed pattern. That’s your fashion lesson for today fabbies!

You Would Be a Fool Not to Love It

I would describe Blonde Queen’s free gift at the Inov event as F-I-N-E! It’s a mini dress with such a gorgeous texture that gives it an elegant look. It does look quite silky. I polished off the look with with a free necklace from Evado (that Aline showed you HERE) along with red heels and lipstick. The Foulard dress gift comes in this texture. Spring is Busting Out All Over

What screams spring more than daisies? Nothing! You can find them in many colors in Second Life. Daisies always bring a smile to my face. (Weird, I know!) Mean Girls isn’t mean at all. Not one bit! Bop over to the event, join the free group and look for all of the gifts and great bargains.

Fabfree Designer Features: Basalia’s Fine Fashions

Hello out there fabulous readers! I’ve picked up the reins of the FabFree Designer Features so here goes! Today I’m featuring Basalia’s Fine Fashion, a women’s clothing store.

Meet Mrs. B., the owner and creator of Basalia’s Fine Fashions. She is wearing one of her creations, Chloe blouse and hi wasted pants. You can see some of her clothing in this shot. She began designing clothing in 2007, then took a break from Second Life. She returned to SL to find mesh designs and realized that she really loved making clothing. She designs styles that any adult woman would love to wear. Her collection consists of timely styles that are also fresh, ranging from casual to formal wear all sized for Maitreya only and come with an autohide. Keep an eye on this place Fabbies!

A Group Gift

The lovely and sexy dress I’m wearing is one of the free group gifts you’ll find in the gift area. Chelsea comes in this beautiful hibiscus texture. Glam is the Word

Now and then I feel like dressing up with a formal flair. Today was a given once I unpacked a few gifts from Fameshed and shopped a couple of Hello Tuesday offerings. This came together so easily and I love this look.

A Little Romance

Putting together a stunning and classy look was easy today. My gown comes from Purple Moon and I am so happy to see this Poulet creating clothing again. The Octavia gown is gorgeous with its’ cut outs on the skirt and beguiling corset. For the Hello Tuesday Sale the gown is offered in this pale gold color. It is sized for Freya, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya.

Stylish Adornments

Kunglers always has intricately designed jewelry. Their free gift at the Fameshed Anniversary Round is a set of bracelets for each arm. The Wendy set comes with both a white/silver and a pink/gold version. They are delicate looking and can be used for many occasions. You must join the free Fameshed group to get the gift and have your tag active to access the location.

Color Me Purple

Happy Tuesday! My dear little kitty woke me up for food at 6 AM. He can be a bit of a pain but he’s a loveable one. I must confess this post has nothing to do with kitties. That was my first thought when I sat down to write this post. He was meowing quite loudly to go outside.

It’s a Very Happy Weekend

Our weather has been so beautiful lately providing sunny days and cool breezes bringing us a chance to breathe in spring. I came down shopping bug earlier today. It all started with a gander at The Happy Weekend sale gallery. I saw way too many things that I need/want. You know what I mean. But in my wanderings I also came across a completely free dress.

I’ve talked about Nilsy in previous posts. Each weekend another gift comes out. You don’t need a group. Once you land in the store walk towards the back behind the staircase and you’ll easily see the  weekend’s free gift. Nilsy is a very generous designer. I’m wearing the Tropic Folk Dress today. I am ready for the tropics as long as air-conditioning is available! The texture, the ruffled sleeves and the flouncy look of the hem all fit together to make it a keeper for sure.

What a Day for a Daydream

Do you ever have those nights where you just can’t sleep? Yeah, that old insomnia is a bear. But I can withstand if I can look this cute when my head hits the pillows. Let me tell you all about it. One day a call to slap a “No Group Needed” Midnight Mania board over at Punk Justus. Being the good Fab Freer that I am I rushed over to slap it. It’s one of the boards where everyone gets the prize if the target is reached. Don’t you just love them?

What I got from that board is this comfy set consisting of a top and panties named Insomnia. It’s a simple outfit that you can use together or separately. And, the fit is perfect on my Maitreya body. It incudes an 8 color/texture change hud. It looks so comfy that I need one to wear in RL too!
