Hello! It’s Tuesday again. A great day for sales in SL. Of course I went shopping this morning. I get a little disappointed when I don’t see something to buy. Thankfully that rarely happens. After all that shopping around I really had to cool off. Off to a beach and not just any beach. Oh no, I went to Oahu where beautiful beaches with gentle breezes abound.

Adorsy has this great top on sale today for $50L. It’s from the Hello Tuesday sale. The Charlee top comes only in a light blue color. I love details on SL clothing. Charlee did not disappoint. The ties at the neckline and the one beneath the breasts are just darling. You can’t change the color of the blouse but you do get a hud to change the colors on the ties. It’s a pretty sweet deal.

Weekend Mode Activated

Ok, I’ve officially given up for the week!  All the stress of nine to five is behind me, and I’ve fooled the masses into thinking I’m drinking a grown up beverage, but I just got it for the candy.  Mwahaha!  I’m so devious.  Let’s get a weekend-ready dress, shall we?

Wait, What?

Ok, folks…. The Arcade is back, and you can get all the goodness of playing a Gacha, without any of the gambling!  Since gachas were banned back in August, people have been hemming and hawing over how to get the thrill of the gacha (I am a fan of a sweet outfit for a low price), but still let you make informed decisions on what you’re about to purchase.  The Arcade has come up with a new HUD system that tells you which items are up next in the queue, so you can either buy what’s next, see what the next few items down the line are, or just walk on and come back later when you can try and get the items you’d really like.  Full disclosure, I had an amazing time playing – and I didn’t spend as much as I used to back when Gacha was a game of chance.  Anywhos, I played the Ricielli gacha, and no matter what you pull you’re sure to end up with a really REALLY pretty dress like the one I got for just 75L.  It’s a win-win!

I’m not often one who wears red, but once in a while a dress comes along that screams at me that I must wear it.  This super sexy number from Tachinni is exactly what I needed to spice things up!

Creepy season is clearly upon us, but what’s a cute zombie hunter to do when she’s in need of some romance?  Well, you get dolled up, head to the most romantic clearing in the post-apocalyptic forest you can find, swipe on some red lipstick and hope the man (or woman) of your dreams saunters by and ignores the blood stains.  Or, contrarily, they’re impressed by the blood stains because clearly you’re a survivor of all the madness.  Once you put down your weapons long enough to suss out if you’re compatible, you’ll totally be ready for some canoodling!

Dating Tips from the Dark

Now that I’ve sufficiently rambled, it’s time to tell you about where I got this dark and yet rather appealing outfit!  AsteroidBox have put on a little creepy hunt in honour of Halloween coming!  It’s lots of fun, with little notecard clues in each gift – plus everything is completely free, no need to join a group.  Just find the bloody knives on the sim and you’re good to go!  I got my top, pants, boots and cane there, but there are also gifts for the guys so they’re not left out of the fun either!  You’ve got until the 1st of November to get your creep on!

An Ode to Calamari

It’s date night!  That means, a cute dress, hair did and a pile of appetizers that necessarily must include some deep fried calamari, because life’s too short not to eat the good stuff.  Let’s go go go!

I’m so Tempted

Sometimes there’s nothing quite as fun as a quick and easy hunt to grab a few fabulous freebies.  I headed over to the Dubai Event, where they’re currently putting on the “Temptation” Hunt.  Search for the juicy red apples all over the sim – each one is filled with a gift that you can grab for 0L.  I managed to find this very lovely dress from Seniha – it comes in several versions including a polka dot look too.  I also managed to find this really sweet clutch by Mon Chéri which comes with an HUD to change the colour of the leather, the gems and even the metals.  There are several different holding options too, so a super versatile piece!  It’s all free – no group join required!  The Temptation hunt is running until October 10th!

Mermaid Moment

Right, I’ve found the perfect pool.  Not only is it in the shape of a mermaid…it also happens to make me feel exactly like a very bright and lurid mermaid too!  I need a lot more brights and bolds in my life these days, I don’t think the sun has appeared in RL for over 4 weeks.  Next time I see it I’ll be wondering what that glowing orb in the sky actually is.  Anyway, back to what I was saying – I’ve got bright hues, insane furniture, plenty of drinks, and best of all, new swimwear!

Miix it Up

The latest round of Miix Event has taken off recently, and there you will be able to find a few gifts smattered around the sim.  I picked up the two official event gifts – one from FurtaCor, and the other from Tequila.  You’ll find them on the fencing just around the main landing point area.  The bathing suit comes with an HUD to change to several different colours, as well as different flowery options.  The fuchsia was calling to me rather insistently!  I also fell in love with the glasses from Tequila that are just too insane to pass up.  It’s all free when you join the free Hype Events group!  Yay!
