Santa Baby

Santa BabyHi There Fab Free’rs! I can just feel Christmas inching closer, and I’m starting to get excited. I hope you are also! For this post what started with a sexy coat quickly turned into a sexy Santa. lol I call her “Santa Baby”. While the sex does almost ooze from this look, I do think it can be toned down a little with some jeans and a cute top under the coat. Either way, it’s a lot of fun, especially for the holidays. Now I’ll get to telling you all about the  Fab finds that made this Santa Baby look possible!

Santa Baby Look
Eternity Santa Hat

Starting with the hat, this one I found on the Marketplace for just 10 lindens. The Santa hat is by Eternity, and no holiday Santa outfit would be complete without a hat like this. This particular hat has resize scripts so it will easily fit male and female avatars. I tilted mine some to better suit all Pru’s fluffy hair!

Indented Holiday Gift

The best part of this look is the jacket in my opinion. This jacket is the FREE holiday gift at Indented. You’ll find it sitting under the Christmas Tree just inside the entrance of the Indented main location. This FREE group gift includes the jacket in unique sizes for specific body types. It also comes in several colors including the red color shown, green, black, and brown. The Indented group is FREE to join. Once you’ve got your Indented tag, you can purchase the gift under the Christmas Tree for zero linden.

AVICANDY Santa’s Woolly Socks

These cute holiday themed applier socks are another Marketplace buy. They are from a shop called AVICANDY which is known for fun socks and stockings among other things. This specific pair of socks is 49 lindens on the market place and has appliers for Maitreya, Slink, Belleza, and Omega compatible bodies. Additionally there are classic system layers for non-mesh avatars.

Perch Boots

These cute boots by Perch are their contribution to the Women Only Hunt 2. The WOH2 hunt is a FREE hunt, and you’ll be searching for a snowflake. These cute boots come with a color change HUD that allows you to choose between 4 neutral colors. They can also be resized via a touch menu. These boots from Perch are not built for specific feet, and include an alpha layer so that classic avatars can wear them as well as mesh avatars. I did need to re-position them some to sit right with my Maitreya Lara body.

I hope you like this saucy Santa look! Here are the details.

Guess who’s back. Back again.

Hey, wonderful readers! I’ve been gone for a while thanks to being busy and sick in real life (yuck). Now that I’m feeling better, though, I can’t wait to show you some of the fabulous deals I’ve dug up. There are a lot of events this December (advents and hunts and gacha fairs oh my!) but I’d like to take a moment to highlight two FabFree Group Gifts today. As always the listing can be found {HERE} and to join this free group simply copy and paste the following link into local chat in your Second Life viewer, secondlife:///app/group/020fa7af-444d-f54f-01e2-557ec06315fd/about  and click the link when it appears in local chat.

If you’re wondering, yes that is my fireplace.

We’ve been spoiled for choice when it comes to clothing items but did you know that there are some top notch furniture designers offering quality gifts for FabFree group members too? It’s most certainly a boon for those, like me, who love to play around with the look of their apartment and these gifts above have certainly added a bit more festive cheer to my Second Life. First up is the newest FabFree group gift from Lil Tease Creations.  I’ve always loved decorations that come with a little bit of a twist and since I can’t seem to let go of Halloween just yet these Christmas Stockings from Lil Tease Creations with its spoopy (thanks for teaching me this word Love!) and cute designs on the front were simply perfect for my fireplace. In the pack, you’ll get seven (spider design not shown) mesh socks that are one land impact each. The permissions are set to copy so you can duplicate as many as you want of these darling little socks for your residence. After you’ve grabbed your gift, take a look around Lil Tease Creations, I slapped two, no group needed, Midnight Mania boards while I was there.

Next up is the Sugar Candy Wreath by [CIRCA] Living. I’ve been eyeing this gift for a while but since my apartment has no doors there was really nowhere to put it when Halloween rolled around. It was just lucky then that the wreath with its adorable cartoon designs went beautifully with the Christmas Stockings. I enjoy the seasonal orange of the wreath too as it was a good call back to, my favorite season, Autumn. The Sugar Candy Wreath stands at five land impact and permissions are set to copy as well so you can duplicate as many of these beautiful wreaths as you want! Both of these gifts are free so wear your FabFree tag proudly, snap up these gifts and get to decorating!

If that decorating bug has bit you hard…

Here are some more blog posts on other furniture items that are available for free with your FabFree group tag:

What to wear while decorating.

Seeing as I’ve been in a bit of a knitwear kick recently, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that I’m bringing the Gaa Dress by !cream Spaghetti Hair (gosh what an awesome store name) to your attention today. Not only does this quaint little store have no group required Lucky Boards for you to stalk, it also has a wide range of cheapies in store for visitors. This pretty, sleeveless number costs only 5L and is a steal as you will be getting the dress in not one but two (blue and pink) different colors. What’s more, both versions of the dress is available in one standard mesh size as well as sizes for Slink Hourglass, Slink Physique, and Maitreya. There is also a good alpha layer included in the package so if you’re still using the standard mesh size that will certainly help with the fitting.

For this picture I’ve paired the Gaa Dress with another great deal from !cream Spaghetti Hair, which is the Love Pink Tights that you can purchase for 15L. These tights come in pants, socks and tattoo layer for those of us using classic avatar bodies as well as Huds for owners of Maitreya or Slink mesh bodies. There are five different designs to choose from in the pack and I went with this playfully pink and blue diamond design which kinda reminds me of fun carnivals. Hmm…maybe it’s not too late to do that snowed in version of Harley Quinn I had in mind…

Have you been stalking the advents?

I have and to make your job easier, FabFree has an advent listing for you {HERE}. One of the advent boards that I’ve been stalking is the one at Alli&Ali Designs and Day 4 yielded the Carrie hairstyle in Cinnamon. It’s always great finding new stores and I’m really glad to have discovered this hairstore during my first ever Advent run in Second Life. As I understand it, the Advent Board gives out individual presents so there might still be a chance for you to receive the Carrie hair during this advent season. If not the Alli&Ali Designs advent is totally free and there’s still plenty of chances for you to pick up some new hairstyle to suit your taste and style!

Speaking of Advents

One of the ones I’m waiting for with baited breath is the 12 Days of Christmas Advent that’s starting at AlterEgo on the 14th of this month. This advent is open to group members so I highly recommend joining the Toxxic Designs Studios group now while it’s free as a membership fee will be in effect after the 13th. When you’re in the group and waiting for the advent to start, go ahead and grab Victoria, the new AlterEgo group gift. This gorgeous skin comes in two tones (rose and sunkissed) and you’ll be getting three classic skin with eyebrows/no eyebrows options, five brow shapes, eyelash alpha, physics and two shapes. There is also an applier hud included that works for Soul Uni, Slink, Belleza, Maitreya and Omega mesh bodies and parts. AlterEgo is fast becoming one of my favorite skin places because of it’s well-defined skin and unique faces as well as it’s frequent and generous group gifts. Oh, and if you know someone who’s under 30 Days old in Second Life, bring them over to AlterEgo as there are gifts specifically aimed for newbies too!

And that’s a wrap for today! Happy decorating and adventing!

Falling for Sweaters

Coming soon to FabFree

The days are getting shorter, and the air is getting cooler (allegedly, unless you live in a southern climate like me :P).  It’s my favorite time of the year, cute and cozy sweater weather!  I’m in love with this Halloween-y sweater dress group gift from S@BBiA (free to join).  To round out the outfit, I added pieces from Sn@tch’s 7 Seas Fishing outfit, Coven.  Shown here are the boots, leggings, earrings and choker necklace.  (If you would like to see the rest, check out Love’s Post!).  You will need a 7 Seas fishing pole to get these items.  They start at $100 L, and are worth the investment!

Reaching for the moon

Reaching for the moon

I don’t know about you dear readers but sometimes I use this blog as something of a destination guide. My fellow bloggers are such creative photographers that more often than not I find myself curious to see the sims that they’ve used as their backdrop. Follow your bliss is one such location and for this little adventure I’ve chosen to wear the aptly named Joy from Luzifee that you can get for free by joining the Fabulously Free in SL group. In the days of autumn oranges, browns, and golds, this smock dress will bring a cheerful dash of color to your Second Life wardrobe. It comes in five standard mesh sizes (XXS-L) and one fitted mesh size with a good alpha layer included in the package. Not only is the uneven hemline of the dress unique but I adore the lovely patchwork pattern in the front of this dress as well. Even with my steadily growing inventory, I can safely say I don’t have anything in it like this free offering from Luzifee. So! What are you waiting for? Follow these steps to getting this gift and more:

First copy and paste the following link into local chat in your Secondlife Viewer: secondlife:///app/group/020fa7af-444d-f54f-01e2-557ec06315fd/about

Second, click on the link in local chat and you’re done! Welcome to the group! Time to pick up some wonderful gifts!

I got lucky in finding the items to tie this whole look together. In the case of these boots, quite literally as I got them off the lucky boards at Sn@tch. Bring a alot a bit of a boots junkie I was ecstatic when I won the pair pictured. It was even more exciting when I discovered that there were a lot of options when it came to choosing the appearance of these boots as you can tint and texture different parts individually according to your fancy. There’s even the option to make the spikes shinier which I definitely did.

The hairstyle I’m sporting is one of the older ones from Truth called Roma and the good news is that you can get the color packs of all of the hairstyles upstairs in the discount area for only 50L. I’ve already a collection of hairs from this merchant and will certainly be sneaking up those stairs more often to expand!

Galaxies

Galaxies

My Second Life closet seems to have taken a leaf or three out of the pages of my first. It’s laughably messy for one thing, and for another, it’s slowly being conquered by t-shirts. Solid colored ones, ones with slogans or symbols or band logos…I find them difficult to resist and this was most certainly true with the t-shirt pictured. It’s perky purple and pink tie and dye design is simple but eye catching and needless to say I fell in love with it as soon as I stepped into the retirement sale room at Imbue. At 50L I felt that it was a steal but if you’re not as big a t-shirt fan as I am there are other clothing items at the sale for you to peruse. The shirt comes in five standard mesh sizes (XXS – L) and has a very good alpha layer. While you’re there and if it strikes your fancy join the Imbue group for 50L and slap the Midnight Mania board or try your luck on the Letters. Oh and don’t forget to pick up the group gifts, one of which has been blogged by Prudence {HERE}

As the pattern on the shirt reminded me of galaxies I quickly paired it up with another closet staple of mine, the skater skirt. The one above comes from Mag<3 B‘s Marketplace store and will cost you only 5L. It comes in five standard mesh sizes (XS -XL) as well as sizes specific to Slink, Belleza, and Maitreya bodies. The light and airy textures are wonderful and not only that it has a subtle dusting of glitter over it which I thought tied in nicely with the shirt.

Up next are the garter socks from Sn@tch and boots from Baby Monkey. These two stores were some of the very first I’ve stepped into in my first few days of Second Life and I’ve come back time and again because of their quality products and generous designers. The Shannon garter socks pack contains thirteen different colors of system layered socks as well as Omega and Slink applier HUDs. It’s currently in one of Sn@tch‘s riot vendors and I got my copy at 63L. If you’re planning on getting these bring a friend or seven. Sn@tch has six riot vendors and you can try to see just how low you can bring them. When you’re done hop by to Baby Monkey to pick up these boots. Baby Monkey has a 20L join fee and past group gifts like those cute boots above cost 10L each.

Galaxies Headshot

The skin I’m wearing is 7 Deadly s{K}ins‘ latest group gift called Klaasje. I love the subtle makeup on the skin as well as the fact that this month’s gift was really very generous. Two system skins in the tone Caramel, Lelutka and Catwa mesh face applier, shape and eyebrow shape along with a style card. 7 Deadly s{K}ins has a group fee of 150L but the Klaasje skin and all past group gifts will be available to you for free this month so it’s most certainly worth it. To get a look at the male group gift by 7 Deadly s{K}ins it’s been blogged {HERE} by Loki.

To top it off is the Lyra hair from Alice Project that you can get for free by slapping their midnight mania board. There’s no group join required so this beautifully feathered style is just a click away. If colored hair is not to your taste the Lyra hair comes with a hud mishmash of fifteen different colors and I hope you find one that fits you perfectly. I did!

Your Friday Hunt Report

openhighwayhuntGood Morning Fabulous Fans! The end of summer isn’t far off, but there’s still time to participate in some super hunts.

Too tired to actually run around in Second Life? You might want to try the Marketplace Hunt. It takes place entirely on the Marketplace. You just have to look through each online store to find the item that’s only L$5. With 44 stops, that’s a lot of very reasonable shopping.

I love road trip movies, so I’m planning to go out on the Open Highway Hunt. It’s a tiny little hunt with only nine stops, so it should only take about an hour.

If those don’t get you excited, there are plenty of other hunts to choose from. Click the hunt names below until you find the one that’s just right for you.

Your Friday Hunt Report

WS-Hunt-Logo-Aug-16There are some nifty sim and store hunts going on right now. The Botanica Butterfly Hunt just began a couple of days ago and it’s always fun to run around Botanica. I’m told that this hunt is also educational.

My partner and I have been working on the massive Around The Grid in 80 Days hunt. With 146 stores, it’s going to take us a few days to complete, but we have until the end of September, so we should make it.

Speaking of big hunts, you’ll want to get an early start on the Womenstuff Hunt. It has 150 stops, so bring some friends and bring some lunch, because this one is going to take you a while.

Not seeing the perfect hunt for you? Check out the big boodle of hunts that are coming in the next couple of months!

WS-Hunt-Logo-Aug-16There are lots of summer hunts going on right now, so if  you’re trying to beat the heat… just stay indoors with the AC cranked up and run around in Second Life! Really… you’ll sweat hardly at all.

If you’re a woman, you’ll want to take a run at the Womenstuff Hunt. This hunt is one of the best, so go grab all the women’s clothing and accessories before they’re gone. There are 150 stores so it may take you a couple of days to finish.

I haven’t checked it out yet, but the Carnival Of Souls Hunt seems very popular. A bit of the macabre as we all gear up for Halloween.
