Christmas Cozy

Hey hey, Fab Fam! Are ya’ll done with your Christmas shopping in good ol’ real life yet:? I went out today and daaaang the stores are chaos! But I fought my way through and got some gifts. Now I’m retreating to Second Life for some relaxation. And by that I mean… shopping!

I went and hit up the Designer’s Outlet – Discount Sale Event today and foud this super cute Christmassy but not too Christmassy outfit. This is the “Fair Isle sweater” and “Patch Bellbottoms”  from Petite Mort, one of my favorite designs. There are a ton of tops and jeans to choose from and each one is only 50L. Not bad at all! Of course, if you love it the fat pack is also on sale at the event.  I can see myself wearing these jeans a LOT in the coming months.

A Bit of September Birdwatching

Hello Fab Readers!  I hit the hunt trail again this weekend and discovered a cheery dress that I picked up completely for free.  All I had to do was invest a small amount of time doing some “birding” (more on that below) and it was completely worth it.

This vibrant frock is the first free hunt prize from GGVG in The Free Dove’s September Hunt.  It features an off-the-shoulder fit, layered sleeves, and a slightly flared skirt.  In addition, the generous designer included a texture change HUD with 20 bold selections for the floral print.  Honestly, it was hard to choose my favorite one for the photo!   There are five gifts from GGVG concealed on the Free Dove sim (I found this beauty there) and an additional 5 scattered throughout the GGVG main store location.  In order to collect the items, you need to be a member of The Free Dove group, but it’s completely free to join.  You’ll be searching for a small, reddish-brown, and yellow feathered friend.  The hunt runs through September 30th.

Whoa October! Slow down!

Boo Fabulouses!  Are you enjoying all of the spooktacular Halloween events, hunts, and gifts that Second Life is offering this month?  I know I am, but I can hardly believe that October is over half over and soon we will be overloaded with red and green and Christmas everything.   Ricielli is jumping on board with a Halloween Hunt and it’s amazeballs!

There are 20 golden pumpkins hidden around the Ricielli store priced at 15L each.  Inside those pumpkins you’ll find the prizes in the ad below.  What’s nice about this hunt is that you clearly get to see what you are buying BEFORE you spend your lindens on it.  All you need to do is check the # on the pumpkin and correspond it with the prize in the key!  I had a really hard time deciding which pieces to show off here on FabFree, and wanted to put them all on at once so you could see them all, alas it would not do the items justice.  In my photo, you’ll see me wearing #1 and #9, which are the Kate Shorts & Jane Tops (2 colours included) on my TMP Legacy Body (also includes sizes for Maitreya and Belleza Freya).
