Good evening, Fab Readers. I hope all of you are having a wonderful beginning of September. Personally, I am looking forward to the coming Fall season and all it brings. September also brings a close to the Men only Hunt, I hope you found all the birds and their gifts. I’m still opening gifts and may well be doing so for quite a while. But we can’t forget that the latest round of gifts for the readers of the L’Homme magazine are still out and available. And, of course, a new month brings new Group gifts.

I stopped by Etham to pick up the latest gift just today. This comfortable sweat shirt fills the bill for these cooling days and nights. The “Matt Sweatshirt” also come with a HUD to choose one of twelve solid colors. It’s a welcome basic addition to any gentleman’s closet.

Turning to the L’Homme gifts from the bottom up. My striking new pants are from Bakaboo. This designer never fails to give really amazing gifts with real flair! The “Dual” pants are no exception. The HUD gives you five half-and-half designs, each one is eye popping amazing.

The chain necklace is also a L’Homme offering. The “Tyler Chain” from Opopop has just a little extra style than the basic men’s chain. But not so over the top to look odd with more casual outfits.

Lastly, I have a new set of stylish glasses. The “Slimglass Glasses” are from Since 1975 and are the L’Homme gift as well. They are both copy and modify so you can adjust them to your shape easily. The HUD comes with five choses of either wildly colored hardware and lenses or the more sedate simple black pair I’m wearing.

All of the L’Homme gifts are scheduled to remain on the floor until October so you do have plenty of time to collect them. You won’t be sorry you did.

College Survival 101

CCCCOOOOFFFEEEEEE! Is the only way for a college student to survive. It’s the pick me up, the all nighters best friend, hangover cure, and just what the Doctor ordered. Man did I need my morning pick me up after a long night of partying. I had to find something to wear of course, before I go out, and grab my morning cup of Joe. I pulled on my grey Hawker’s House shorts, they smell clean enough. Then ravaged through my drawers, looked under the bed, was left with the only clean shirt I had. My loud awesome go to Boyberry summer party shirt. Then I slipped on my Ellison Coastal sandals from Rebellion as I grabbed my Vespa keys and went out the door.

Rode to the best place to get coffee near campus. Then your left deciding what to order of course. Hmm…Double Double, French Vanilla Cappuccino, The Gretzky, Chocolate Timbits Iced Capp, Doubleshot on Ice, White Mocha Frappuccino, Skinny Cinnamon Dolce Latte, or perhaps the Espresso Frappuccino. I went with just the simple Double Double for now. MMmmm…man did I need that. Nothing like that warm caffeine coursing through your veins to get you ready for a long day of classes. BTW if you like my outfit, the entire thing is free.

Road Trip to Nowhere in Particular

Hello hello Fab Free, I hope you’re all surviving first life well enough. As for Second Life, Blue and I decided to throw a few things in a bag and jump in the car for a much-needed getaway. Like most of us, we decided we could use a little change of scenery. This little diner was an impromptu stop along the way on our road trip to nowhere in particular. We got out stretch our legs, take in some scenery, grab a bite to eat, and of course take a few photos. After all, is it really a vacation if you don’t have a few social media worthy photos? Hah, just kidding.

The pose we used for this snapshot is a free Stay at Home Club gift from The Owl. This free couples pose by The Owl comes with pose balls and individual pose animations. No group is needed for the Stay at Home Club gifts. My t-shirt is a free Stay at Home Club gift as well. I picked it up at Sass. The over-sized casual tee by Sass says “Actually, I can.” and comes in the color shown, and has a matching pair of panties included. As I mentioned this is a mens shirt by Breezy. It is sized for male mesh avatars only. I did make some minor changes to my shape for it to fit. I think it looks real cute on. Beach Weekend, Part 2

I have to admit, I am enjoying this beach weekend idea of Julianna’s. There’s nothing like the surf and sand and soaking in the sun. Of course, one must look good even while one is being very… very lazy.

Way Back Up In The Country

Howdy there, Fabulous Readers!  Although I’ve been working hard around the farm all day, it’s finally break time, which means I get to stop and tell you all about this durable set of overalls I picked up as a prize in the World Tour Hunt.  You may have read Astrid’s post about her cosmopolitan finds on the hunt, but this good ol’ boy picked up a package with a more country flair.

Down in Creekville

This morning, I was up before dawn, ready to head over to Horr Menswear to see if I could locate the globe concealed in the shop.  I called his name, jingled his tracking harness, and even rattled a whole box full of Ripley snacks, but he wouldn’t budge.  He just kept snoring softly all curled up on his fluffy dog bed.  Muttering something about a “so-called man’s best friend,” I gave up on the pupster, crossed my fingers, and hoped I’d be able to find the hunt object on my own without too much trouble.  Thankfully, it didn’t take long, and I was soon back home opening my prize.

For just 2 Linden dollars, and a small investment of time searching, I had myself outfitted in my new Creekville Overalls.  The prize package included versions for popular mesh bodies as well as classic avatars.  Packed with details such as thick stitching, plenty of pockets, and sturdy straps, these pants were ideal for my busy day.  I appreciated the fact that all the dirt on the farm blended right in with the texture of the brown denim.  I have to say, that designer is one smart cookie!

Fab Free Designer Friday – 07/07/2017 – The Man Cave

It’s FriYay and I’m ready to sing! Okay maybe no singing, but I am definitely excited to be here. Today’s Fab Free Designer Friday post is all about The Man Cave. Yep, a store for the guys, that has to be exciting. I know it doesn’t happen as often as we would like. The Man Cave has mostly casual menswear including some shoes and accessories. It would be a great spot to pick up everyday attire. The layout of the shop is fairly strait forward, new releases to the left as you enter the store, and little foot prints on the the floor leading you to a few bargains at the back of the store. Wouldn’t it be great if all shops were so easy to get around?!

At the back of the store is where you’ll find The Man Cave information desk. There you can join the group, and buy gift cards. Along the back wall are where the various bargains and offers are available, including the FREE Fabulously Free in SL exclusive group gift. As always the Fab Free group is FREE to join. Carson showed this awesome gift in his post “Welcome to Minerva.” The gift includes the hat, sunglasses, and shoes.  Also, in the same area there is a Midnight Madness board with no group required. It has a low target of just 10 people and the current prize is a 100 linden gift card for The Man Cave. So, it’s definitely worth the effort to check out The Man Cave!

Fab Free Designer Friday – 06/09/2017 – Costarlos

Well Hello Fab Free’rs! Can you believe it’s Friday already? This week’s Fab Free Designer Friday post is all about Costarlos. Yep, a menswear designer! You may be thinking this exterior shot of Costarlos looks somewhat familiar. Well that is because the Costarlos shop shares a location with BlackRose. The shops sit across a brick street from each other. I really like this shopping experience because it begins in such a pretty setting. You can even rez a bike for free and enjoy the scenery. As I’ve mentioned, Costarlos is mesh menswear designer. The style is what I would call classic, with a little bit of preppiness (that’s not a word but you get the idea!) and a little bit hipster. You’ll find everything from sports coats to graphic tees. There are even a few accessories upstairs along with a few cool looking flannels that I couldn’t help but notice.

The shop is clean and easy to navigate. You’ll notice a purple Fifty-Five Thursday kiosk just as you enter the shop, and three items on the wall that are all priced at 55 lindens currently. I don’t know how long these offers will be available, so don’t hesitate if you see something you like. To the left of the staircase you’ll find the FREE Costarlos Group Gifts and the exclusive Fab Free Group gift. The Costarlos group is FREE to join, as is the Fabulously Free in SL group. Fab Free Designer Friday – 12/16/2016 – One Creations

Happy Friday Fab Free! Today’s Fab Free Designer Friday post is all about One Creations. The One Creations shop is really a one-stop shop. One Creations is actually sectioned off into several shops or departments. At the landing point you’ll find the usual information boards, a subscribe-o to join the store group, and a teleporter so you can teleport directly to each department.
There are 5 total departments in the One Creations shop. Hair Studio One has a variety of hairstyles for both men and women. One Fashion Design has ladies fashion, while Renegade One is the mens fashion department. One Body Language has single and couples poses, it’s also where you’ll find the exclusive Fab Free group gift. This gift is FREE with your Fabulously Free in SL group tag. Katheryn also showed this pose set gift in her blog post here. Lastly there is One Passion Bed & Beds for all your bedroom furniture needs. Needless to say there is plenty to explore at One Creations, most of the designs are interesting and unique and there is bound to be something for everyone.
