Hello hello Fabulous Fab Free’rs! It’s been time for a “Designer of the Week” style post for a minute now, so for today I’m happy to share with you BonBon. First, I want to point out that the grounds surrounding the BonBon main location are just beautiful. Definitely take a little time when you’re there to look around a bit. That said, BonBon is a cute little shop which mostly sells female hairstyles. The style of BonBon is very doll-like and cute, the term kawaii definitely comes to mind although there are plenty of hairstyles that could fit any look.
Along with the feminine hairstyles, you’ll find a few makeup items, and some equally doll-like clothing and accessories in gacha machines. Inside the entrance you’ll see the “circulation desk” as I call it, where you can access all of BonBon’s social media and the store group. Right now there are quite a few BonBon group gifts available, they are conveniently lined up on a shelf above the desk. You’ll also notice some of the gifts have a heart above them. One of those gifts is the current Fabulously Free in SL group gift, which you’ll likely recall seeing this super cute style in Aline’s post “Stay Safe.” There is also a free gift that is available exclusively on the Marketplace. Aline also showed us that gift in her pose “I Sparkle I Shine.” In addition to the gifts being displayed above the desk, the most recent of the gifts along with the Fabulously Free in SL gift are also available on the wall opposite the desk. To get the Fab Free group gift you will need the Fabulously Free in SL group tag. The Fab Free group is always free to join. For the BonBon group gifts, you’ll need to join the BonBon store group which does have a one-time join fee of 99 linden. Hello Fab Free! I’m so glad you’re here. This look I came up with for Pru reminded me of an Oracle like the ones in stories about ancient Rome. Maybe it’s the fiery eyes, or the detailed pendant. Both items are free gifts at the Summoning Spring Fair. I used several gifts from the Summoning Spring Fair to create this unique look. I hope you enjoy them.
The Hair – As I mentioned there are lots of free gifts to be had at the Summoning Spring Fair. CHARME happens to have 2 gifts. This swing-bob style hair is their free gift, and if you pick up both of the CHARME gifts you’ll get the hairstyle with 4 total color change huds. This free hairstyle also has a unique feature that lets your color/texture the top strands of the hair separately from the rest to give the style a lot of dimension and tons of color combinations.
The Tattoo – This mandala-like forehead tattoo is the Summoning Spring Fair gift from Fallen Gods. It comes in classic system layers along with an Omega applier. That means this freebie is suitable for mesh (Omega compatible) avatars and classic non mesh avatars. Not to mention with all the color choices, you could wear it with anything!
The Eyes – I think these intense eyes by Cubic Cherry might be my favorite of the free gifts at the Summoning Spring Fair. They come in several vibrant colors. This git set includes a pair of mesh eyes, a matching alpha layer, an optional shadow add-on for extra detail, a texture change hud, and an Omega applier hud for Omega compatible eyes.
The Necklace – Finally, this beautiful necklace is by On a Lark, and is also a free gift at the Summoning Spring Fair. I would consider this item to be unisex. It comes with a texture change hud that lets you pick from several preset options for the shiny stone, and 3 metal choices for the chain and setting.

Hello There Fab Free’rs! The best kind of hunt in Second Life is a free one with lots of designers! The SLF&O hunt recently started, and it’s both free and has quite a few participants. You won’t want to miss this one. I picked up this gorgeous Asian inspired robe at Belle Epoque as part of the SLF&O hunt. The robe comes in a Maitreya Lara fit only. It’s also absolutely free, you just gotta find it! The hunt object for this hunt is a fall leaf.
Recently Love sent me a teleport to Moon hair to slap their Midnight Madness board. I’m so glad she did, I love this hairstyle with this robe. This extra long flowing hairstyle is the free MM board prize at Moon. There’s no need to join any group or wear any tag to participate. Also, the prize hairstyle is a full fat pack with all the color huds included.

Hey There Fab Free’rs! So I’ve decided I can let go of Halloween, but the pumpkins gotta stay. At least until the end of November! Especially this barbed wire pumpkin candle holder by Reka. It’s a free group gift for members of the Reka group. The Reka group is also free to join. I sometimes have a soft spot for things like barbed wire re-purposed into art and the shabby-chic aesthetic.
Speaking of shabby-chic, I think these cute potted succulents fit the description as well. I picked them up for free at the Gacha Garden event. I actually picked up quite a few fantastic free gifts at the current Gacha Garden round. There are tons! The gifts at Gacha Garden require you to wear the Gimme Gacha event group tag. This group is free to join. The succulent gift is by Your Dreams. It comes with a single plant that you can copy and modify.
Next up on my little gift grabbing adventure through the Gacha Garden, this hair. I know Juli already showed you this cute free hairstyle by Fabia in her post “Fab Mad“, but who can resist that hat?! It’s another of the free gifts and it comes in a set of red hair color choices.
Pru’s other-worldly olive colored eyes are the freeGacha Garden gift from Lotus. These eyes come in Lelutka Appliers, Catwa Appliers, and a set of mesh eyes. There are 5 beautiful pupil-less color choices.
It has been a while since Pru had multiple piercings. This piercing set by Supernatural made me wonder why it’s been so long. The set is quite pretty, and is yet another free gift at Gacha Garden. The set includes 4 piercings that can be worn separately or together. There is a full set in gold, and one in silver. A color change hud for the gemstone part of the piercings is also included.
Lastly, I know you can’t see much of it, my apologies, however the wooden coffee table everything is sitting on is also a free gift at Gacha Garden. Its by a shop called Rassuel. The table is short and rectangular, with a single shelf and square legs. It’s a great basic modern looking furniture piece.

I’m excited to share with you this gorgeous Lucky Letter Board dress from Apple May Designs along with a beautiful group gift hairstyle from Opale. I took the photo from the back because I felt like the back of the dress and the back of the hairstyle were quite nice. I love the long understated black bow detail in the dress. The super cute swimsuit is from JellyRoll, and the fun doughnut float is from Harambee. I also picked up this cute summer hairstyle from Beusy. The Swimsuit – When I saw the little flamingos on the ad for this swimsuit by JellyRoll, I knew it was for me! If you’re not quite so excited about flamingos, the suit has a texture change hud with a blue and white tropical hibiscus print. This summer swimsuit is the 1 linden BBH8 hunt prize at JellyRoll. Also, there is an alpha layer included for classic avatars.
The Doughnut Float – I am honestly not really into eating sugary pink doughnuts with sprinkles, but when I see them in a non-edible form, I find them almost irresistibly cute. This little gem of a pool float is another BBH8 dollarbie prize. You can hunt it down at Harambee. The float has several animated poses, one of which even has a cell phone prop. All the poses are adjustable, and the float gently turns while you relax. It also comes in 3 colors, the pink color shown, a blue version, and a lilac version.

Hello hello Fab Free’rs! Sorry I’ve been so absent as of late. I’m gearing up for a move in RL and it is taking not only my focus but most of my energy. I cannot wait to be settled and back into a normal routine. I hate being away, I miss you guys! That said I did manage a little bit of time to share with you the designer of the week, Ali & Ali Designs.
As most of you probably know, Ali & Ali is a hair shop that has been part of the Second Life experience for quite a while. What you might not know is that Ali & Ali also has a small selection of clothing, shoes, and even business scripts! There’s really a lot to see and shop for at Ali & Ali. At the main entrance you’ll notice there’s even a convenient teleport board with quite a few store “departments” that you can teleport to for convenient shopping. Still, the main Attraction at Ali & Ali is the hair. There are male styles as well as the female styles, there are also beards. Ali & Ali also caters nicely to the Classic Avatars in that they still offer non-mesh styles along with mesh, and they have a set of free tattoo layer hair bases available on the information desk just inside the entrance.
The Ali & Ali information desk is really the hub of the store. Here you’ll find all the information you need about anything and everything Ali & Ali related. There are also helpful fairies around the store that you can click for help and additional information. Also at the desk are the current free Ali & Ali group gifts. There is one for the gentlemen as well as the ladies. The Ali & Ali group is free to join at this time. I added a close up of the teleport board so you can get a better look at all Ali & Ali has to offer.
Speaking of offers, just to the left of the desk you’ll find the exclusive Ali & Ali male and female gifts for Fabulously Free in SL group members. The Fab Free group is always free to join. Finally, as you shop through the multiple floors of the Ali & Ali store, you’ll see the occasional lucky letter chair and a few mini mania type boards. I put up some examples of what to look for, however the boards and chair shown are not the only ones. Don’t forget, there are male prizes as well as female ones. Also, if you missed a past gift, most previous VIP gifts can be purchased by VIP group members for 500 linden for the full fat-pack.
