On the 5th Day of Christmas…

Guess what?  It’s time for Day 5!  I was feeling very classy today with this post, but with a vintage twist.  I love each of these pieces that are included in this post and had to share them.

The beautiful chair I am sitting on is today’s gift at Zerkalo.  The fabric is such a lovely vintage/shabby-chic design.  There are several PG animations included as well.  Zerkalo‘s advent calendar is FREE for group members and the group is FREE to join.

I swooned over the luggage/travel decor in the center.  Aesthetically at least, I would have loved to live in that era.  But I have to remember these things were normal then and didn’t look old and vintage and cool like they do us now.  This decor set (all one piece) is the gift from Yasum today.  I got a cool surprise today when I was writing this up…it has poses!!!  Three female poses and three male.  Yasum‘s gifts are FREE with no group needed.

Next I have to share this gorgeous little Christmas tree from Lelutka.  I didn’t realize this but apparently they send a FREE tree every year to their group members (FREE to join).  This is not part of an advent calendar, but such an awesome gift, I had to tell you all about it.  And it totally fit the theme I was going for.

Heyya FabFree! I hope this wintery Monday is treating you well. Or this warm pleasant Monday is treating you well if you’re reading from the other side of the planet. 😉

Today I have some memories from the ‘olden days’ here on the Grid. When I first started Second Life… I wore nothing but ball gowns. I mean it. Everywhere. The fanciest, flexi-est gowns you’ve ever seen. I think because in real life, I never had a reason to wear some gorgeous gown dripping with jewels and lace. Then I discovered silks… and that’s a story for another time.  So … when I stumbled upon this fantastic designer, I was whisked away back to my early days and all those beautiful ball gowns.

This stunning gown is the ‘Princess Vivian’ from Celestina’s Weddings. I just can’t get over how lovely this dress is. The details are extraordinary. From the lace overlay to the tiny buttons on the back to the shimmer on the silk skirt and bustle. Just perfect! Honestly, this is hands down the prettiest gown I’ve ever owned in Second Life. 

And… I was able to pick it up for free. I know, right!? This dress is the last gift on Celestina’s Weddings advent calendar for 2020. You do need to be a group member but as of right now, that’s a free to join group. All of the past gifts are still available. Some are still free and some are priced at 25L. I imagine this gown and all the gifts will eventually be priced at 25L too. So… I don’t know how long this breath taking gown will be free for group members. But even at 25L this is the deal of the year!

Fab Free Designer of the Week – 1/13/2019 – C!L

Hello hello Fab Free’rs! You guessed it, this is another edition of “Designer of the Week” with fabulous designer C!L. This is definitely a new-to-me shop, and as C!L may well be new to you as well, we like to make a little post once a week as we have new designers joining Fabulously Free in SL to tell you about them and all they have to offer (especially the gifts!). C!L is a ladies clothing store that has a sort of “old Hollywood” feel to their clothing style. Much of what you’ll find are mesh dresses for both casual and formal occasions. The C!L shop itself is small, though I suspect that may change. Currently you will see right away the desk where you can grab a little free gift. It’s the small purple giftbox. Also, as you can see C!L is participating in the Magical Winter Hunt.

Here next to the desk is also where you can join the C!L store group. It has a one time join fee of 50 linden. The current C!L group gift is waiting just above the group joiner. It’s a pretty strapless formal gown in several colors. You can also pick up the free C!L gift for Fabulously Free in SL group members in this spot. The Fab Free group is always free to join. A Stroll Through Paris

If only I could teleport to Paris for a stroll in real life too…

I was feeling restless after a week of not being able to blog because of real life responsibilities and so I picked up a dress at a new-to-me shop that my hunting buddy mentioned and teleported over to Paris 1900 for a stroll around Hyde Park. I took the picture above to show off my new formal wear. Isn’t it lovely! Almost as lovely as Paris!

Some Second Life Snow

I’ve been dreaming a lot about a white Christmas. Sure I can find plenty of snow in Second Life, but all I’ve had here where I live is the cold, cold, cold. No snow yet. I admit, I miss the flurries and white just a bit. Meanwhile, I’ll settle for the pretty white, of Second Life snow, until real life delivers!

PixelArt showed off some snow with a special free POE Hunt gift that is a 4 prim snow photo studio. The studio includes 10 different winter backdrops including the one I am showing off in the picture, two actual prim trees that you can just glimpse in my picture, and a set of very nice poses that you change by clicking on a snowflake at the top of the studio. In real life, I don’t often have an occasion for dressing up in a formal gown. In second life, there are plenty of opportunities for donning a formal… ballrooms, date nights, roleplay, or just visiting a pretty and photogenic castle on the beach!

Elvis is in the snow! Err… in the pavilion. Err… in the house! Okay so this dress has me singing the blues, but not in a bad way! And you’ll be singing the blues too once you see how perfect this gown is for winter blues!
