On the 5th Day of Christmas…

Guess what?  It’s time for Day 5!  I was feeling very classy today with this post, but with a vintage twist.  I love each of these pieces that are included in this post and had to share them.

The beautiful chair I am sitting on is today’s gift at Zerkalo.  The fabric is such a lovely vintage/shabby-chic design.  There are several PG animations included as well.  Zerkalo‘s advent calendar is FREE for group members and the group is FREE to join.

I swooned over the luggage/travel decor in the center.  Aesthetically at least, I would have loved to live in that era.  But I have to remember these things were normal then and didn’t look old and vintage and cool like they do us now.  This decor set (all one piece) is the gift from Yasum today.  I got a cool surprise today when I was writing this up…it has poses!!!  Three female poses and three male.  Yasum‘s gifts are FREE with no group needed.

Next I have to share this gorgeous little Christmas tree from Lelutka.  I didn’t realize this but apparently they send a FREE tree every year to their group members (FREE to join).  This is not part of an advent calendar, but such an awesome gift, I had to tell you all about it.  And it totally fit the theme I was going for.

Now…this dress.  This is what started this whole post.  I opened this FREE dress gift up from Next Door Designs for Day 4 (still available) and I fell in love!  First I need to give a little instruction on getting their gifts.  You must join the group, which is FREE to join (you can right click the calendar and edit to find the group name) and then you right click and select to pay L$1 on the day you want to receive.  That L$1 is then immediately refunded.  Here are the fits for this dress:

It’s one of those hot days in the Mediterranean.  The kind of days where you seek out the shade in the picturesque alleys, while clutching fervently at your water bottle (or rose pomegranate soda, in this case) , hoping it will stay cold forever.   You’re thinking wistfully about air conditioning while mentally chastising yourself for not enjoying the sights as much as you should be since it’s just so hot.  Ahwell, I’m sure we’ll find some a/c soon!

Study Time

Hi Fab Free’rs, I don’t know about you, but I think coffee or cocoa and doughnuts are a required part of study-time. I also think that comfort is paramount. I like to study in my pajamas, sitting in my bed, or a comfy chair, and have sweet eats at my immediate disposal. lol Poor Herman, haha, he likes to see how close he can get to the doughnuts without actually eating them. Though if I don’t keep an eye on him he’ll sneak one and run off with it! That said, I better drink this coffee before it gets cold!

Kiss Me

Have you been to The Season’s Story yet? There are so many free gifts at this the 6th and final round of The Seasons Story event. It’s sad to see another event go, but I’m still excited about the great gifts. For this post I picked the free TSS gifts by Evermore, Yasum, Vincue, and Dazed. Evermore

These Kitty ears by Evermore are just too cute. I love the texture, the black and orange with little white accents is perfect for a Halloween cat. They are animated, and they come in 3 sizes. Also, they are absolutely free at The Seasons Story, no group needed.

Yasum

The perfect black lip is nice to have year-round however it is essential for the Halloween season. Yasum has a pretty velvet matte lip applier for Catwa heads for free at The Seasons Story. What makes this applier set even better is there are several options for little phrases, or even a few graphic designs. I chose “Kiss Me” because who doesn’t love a good smooch!

Vincue

No Halloween Kitten would be complete without this adorable collar by Vincue. It’s really pretty and detailed. This free gift at The Seasons Story comes in several sizes so it fits perfectly, the option of gold or silver for the metal bits, and has a color change hud for the fabric, ribbon, and pom poms with quite a few choices for each. Also, I want to point out that for this photo I am not actually wearing the collar, but rather had rez’d it and positioned it so that it showed best with the pose I’m using. This collar does not sit askew.

Most literal title ever

There is a new free group gift at Ana Boutique, and it is a set of 3 poses designed to be used leaning up against a wall. They’re really fantastic. If you want to lean up against some walls too (and why wouldn’t you?), you’ll just need to join the free Ana Boutique group. You’ll find this pose pack and a few other free gifts on the wall above the stairs.

Hair, hair everywhere

I think that the thing that I buy the most of in SL is hair. Like, as soon as we finish up here I’m probably going to hit up the Saturday sale, where I will undoubtedly find some hair that I need and can’t live without. But when they’re on sale or free, it so hard to say no. This specific hair was FREE and it’s really cute. If that’s wrong then I don’t want to be right! I picked it up at Ayashi. There are two groups there, a free group and a paid group. This hair is a gift for the free group. Hopefully my slurl there takes you right where you need to go, but if it doesn’t there is a teleport board straight ahead when you walk into the store. Just choose Gift Room and you’ll see this pack and a few others on the wall. The super cute ‘do that I’m wearing here comes as a fatpack. I love the straight bangs and how the front is pulled back. It’s short and sassy and perfect.

Absolutely Mint

I have a love-hate relationship with hunts in SL.  They can be really fun, and you can find a million fantastic prizes, and you are all happy and joyful and such.  Then there are the ones that are gruelling, painful affairs where every prize is impossible to find and you go cross-eyed just thinking about it!

The Finders Keepers hunt was actually the former experience – I found things without going completely cross-eyed, and I even made some new friends along the way who banded with me to find all the stuff.  And of course, I got some fun free gifts!  Win-win!

Heyya FabFree-ers and happy weekend!

The weekend is a great time to get your Hunt on here in Second Life. I checked out the Iconic Spell Hunt today and picked up this super cute little skirt from Luas. This is the “Spring Skirt” and it will only cost you some hunting time and 15L. The skirt comes in the standard Mesh sizes XS-L and has a good alpha layer. I really love the lace detail at the hem of the skirt!
