Can you read the sign? O.M.G. Art for free? You betcha! Mrs. B., one of our fabulous designers, let me know about The Free Museum. You can see a preview of some of the works in her store, Basilia’s Fine Fashions and grab landmarks to the museum. The brainchild behind the museum(s) is Haiku Quan who had the following to say:

“The Free Museum and the Second Free Museum contain works by some of the very best artists in Second Life. And every artwork here is free. You are welcome to take as many as you like. There is nothing for sale, and there are no tip jars. This is simply my way of giving back to you, the people of Second Life who make this such a fascinating world. And to introduce you to the incredible quality of the fine art being created in Second Life.”

As you wander the museums you may recognize some of the artists whose work is available to all for free. There is something for everyone’s taste.

One of my favorites is the Crococar by Cica Ghost. It’s just my style cause every Cajun gal needs one! Alpha Auer is the creator of the group of musicians seen on the right. There are sooo many beautiful pieces to choose from. If you can’t decide just grab all of them!

Here are a few samples of what you can find there. It’s fun to visit the museums and soak up some culture. There are 2 museums as noted above. make sure you visit both of them. I was a little disappointed because there was no wine & cheese to be found. Oh well, cest la vie!

It’s time for a fabulous Friday outfit! I have a few gifts that will help you feel glamorous. I’ll get right to the goodies!

Precious Jewels

As you might have seen in several other posts Cosmopolitan is having part two of its’ 11th Anniversary Celebration. There are tons of gifts to be found and all of them are free once you join the free group.  One of the gifts from Kunglers is the Biba set. It’s a lovely set of drop earrings and a necklace with a pendant shaped like rosebuds. These can be paired with many outfits.

Mesh Avatar Appearance Maniacs

When you’re picking up FabFree gifts you might have noticed some of the gifts out for other groups. I join many of these non-store groups because I get news from all over the grid as well as lots of free gifts. One of the groups I like is the MAAM (Mesh Avatar Appearance Maniacs). It does have a $50L join fee but you’ll find you it is well worth it.

The first gift comes from Luna Chelsea. The set of coffin nails fit Belleza, Maitreya, Ebody, Kahlene Erika, Legacy, Kupra, Signature Alice, and SLink. An extensive hud with many colors/shades is included. It’s a very versatile set.

The second gift for the MAAM group is a free set of eyes from LovelySweet. Twelve eye colors are included along with huds for Lelutka & Omega.

Don’t you hate waiting for someone? Especially someone who is habitually late. I thought I was going out to dinner but my date is a no-show. I have no idea where I’m supposed to be but he isn’t here. Maybe I should call him with my phone purse. One ringy dingy, two ringy dingy. No answer! Meh . . . At least I look great.

I Got Some Goodies!

I made another trip to The Free Dove today. It saddens me to think it is slated to poof. Over my years in SL I have been there many, many times. If you’re like me each time you’re there you discover something else that catches your eye. I was mostly looking for free items to accessorize my dress. And I also wanted to see what hair styles are available. My excursion was fruitful as you can see. Note: You must join The Free Dove group that is free to join. Here is what I picked up today:

• Free A&A Astrol Hair with an ombre colors texture change hud. It’s a flexi style and it moves quite well when your avatar does. I also love the color combos on the hud that give the hair a streaked look.
• Free from My Bags Phone Purse that reminds me of the first cell phones, Back then they were huge, The color on this one is pretty cool. And a big plus is that you don’t have to dive into your purse for your cell phone because it’s right there on the handle.

A New-to-Me Store

I ventured over to BadGyal to check it out. I’d never even heard of the store before someone mentioned it. There are several free group gifts out once you join the free group. I‘m wearing one of the gifts – the Ava Heels Fatpack. Two other group gifts available at this time are 2 pair of hoop earrings in gold and silver. I’ll be keeping an eye on this store.

I don’t know about you but I wasn’t anticipating oodles of event gifts at this point in time. I’m still clearing out things i don’t need or want from December Holiday Shop & Hop. I’m not complaining mind you. But I’m quite sure I can hear the inventory servers moaning and groaning. Let them groan; a girl always needs cute and stylish clothing and accessories. And Shop & Hop is raging again. Once again loads of gifts and bargains abound.

Being a fan of the New Orleans Saints football team you have to love the team’s colors. You guessed it – black & gold! What a great way to celebrate our not-always-so great Saints and show a little love. I fell in love with this gift from Baiastice aptly named Golden Little Hearts Mini dress. In Memory of Our Fallen Dove

It’s sad to say goodbye to someone has influenced so many of us in Second Life. Also known as Dove, Palomma Casanova, owner & driving force of The Free Dove has passed way. Our dove will now soar high absent from pain or illness. Rest in blissful peace dear. Know that you will be missed.

Jungle Peace

I’m searching for peace in a jungle. Not sure I can find peace there but I know I can find solitude. It probably won’t be quiet either, come to think of it. Why the hell am I here? It’s not like I’m hunting down Tarzan or anything like that. Somehow it made sense for a brief moment. While many of you are tightly held in the grip of frigid winter weather going to a jungle sounds like a good plan. I’ve never heard of anyone freezing in a jungle. Have you?

It’s a New Year

Belle Epoque is at it again with another store hunt. That’s always great news. You don’t need the store group to participate in the New Year’s Hunt and each item costs $10L. I’ve got the totally stunning Jemina dress (#2 on the hunt key below) on today. If you’re a regular reader you know that I love animal prints. While I didn’t grab every item on the hunt this one called out to me. I’m just happy the dress ties are done already. Otherwise I’d have to be a contortionist to tie them all. Maybe searching for Tarzan isn’t such a bad plan. I bet Jane never wore a dress like this. Anyhoo, Jemina is sized for Ebody, Legacy, and Maitreya.

The other day one of our FabFree members put out a call in group chat for folks to slap the MM boards & check the lucky letters at Tooty Fruity. I hope your new year is treating you kindly. I have had one minor disaster after another since January 1st! But I’m still kicking in spite of wanting to kick something or someone. Let me give you an example. I somehow locked my cell phone and couldn’t remember my pin, I drove to the local cell phone provider’s store. I explained to the chick at the counter what had happened. Her response was “You need to call Samsung.” This was followed by me exclaiming loudly, “What part of this do you not understand? I can’t use my phone at all now.” And so it went until her co-worker told her to call Samsung on the landline and let me talk to someone. Thank you for having someone with a brain that works cell phone carrier.

Supa-Sexy at a Great Price!

I can always count on something daring or delectable from Telsiope’s Couture. I quickly became a fan after learning about the store in a FabFree hunt. The latest free FabFree group gift is the Doro outfit. It reminded me of a really cool biker chick look. The revealing top and tight pants fit me like a glove. It might be a wee bit too chilly to ride a bike while wearing Doro. I don’t care because I look super fabulous in it and so will you! Doro is sized for: Belleza Freya, Maitreya, SLink Hourglass, and Legacy. Breaking news from the store: Sitlan placed a “booty win” on the third floor. Bring or teleport four of your friends with you and have a seat to get the “booty”; which is currently the Alice dress.

A couple of days ago I wandered over to Pure Poison and joined the store group. It is free to join for now, There are oodles of group gifts for you to grab. It’s another one of the long-lived stores in SL that has evolved over the years. Once you join the Pure Poison group you can pick up all of the group gifts. Your haul will include tons of jewelry, several pair of shoes, and one set each of lingerie and a bikini. Today I’m wearing the Boho Time Necklace.

It’s the start of a New Year. Yes, indeed. Time to hit the gym to shed a few pounds, and tone up some sexy muscles. Living in a Pastel World

Helloooo Fabbies. I hope you are having wonderful, happy, safe holidays and looking forward to the new year. Today I am celebrating in style in this “lots of pink” look at one of my favorite locations for taking photos:  Luane’s Magical World. I thought it would be the perfect place for taking unique photos on this lovely sofa with poses from Gᴏi (goizane) of Fashiowl.
