Hey There Fab Free! I have been lost in the land of Real Life for a few days, and while it was fun, I’m glad to be back. Sometimes there’s nothing better than cozy familiar places. Fab Free is definitely one of my cozy familiar places. I miss it when I’m gone. In the spirit of “I’m-happy-to-be-back” I’ve got a quick post with new gift from Dead Dollz to share with you.
It’s not a secret that I love pin-up styles. So needless to say, I was uber excited to see this tie front sweater group gift at Dead Dollz. I love the big gold polka-dots and the pale pink sleeve cuffs. The best part by far however is the glittery phrase scrawled across the back. Yep, it says “Special Snowflake.” Love it. The gift comes in a single mesh size specifically for the Maitreya Lara body. The Dead Dollz group has a one time join fee of 250 linden. You will need to wear a Dead Dollz group tag to get this gift.
Hello There Fab Free’rs! I hope your weekend was a fun one. I had a fantastic weekend, and now I’m happy to be here where I get to share my latest freebie find with you. The credit for this find should really go to Love however. She spotted the outfit at Sn@tch during one of her recent shopping excursions and told me about it. She knows me so well! I do love retro pinup styles, especially when they are a little sassy like this one.
Why be a Betty When You Can be a Veronica?
Okay so really I think Betty was just as awesome as Veronica, and Archie was lucky either of them paid him any attention! This outfit just screamed Veronica to me, even though it’s name is Gloria. Before I go off on a tangent about the dynamics of the Betty, Veronica, Archie love triangle and confuse everyone further, I’ll just get to the details. The fully mesh Gloria outfit is absolutely FREE at Sn@tch. There’s no need to join a group or wear a tag, just head over to Sn@tch and check out the FREEbiearea Love mentioned in her recent post “A Whole New Sn@tch“. In the box you’ll get the capri pants, the cardigan, and a cardigan/tank top combo in 5 standard mesh sizes, and of course the matching alpha layers. Additionally the cardigan/tank combo comes with the tank top in black or red. Sn@tch your FREE outfit, and tons of other fantastic freebies and inexpensive items at the new Sn@tch main store.
Like a few of the other ladies here at Fab Free, I also had a difficult and emotional weekend. A RL family issue hit me kind of hard, but thankfully Carson passed me the brownies and listened patiently while I had a small meltdown (thanks for listening, bro!). 🙂
Then I decided to pick myself up, throw on my favorite color (pink), do a little “wishful make-upping,” and head outside for a walk in the SL sunshine. I wound up at Small Town Green – it was chilly and snow was still on the ground, but this has always been one of my favorite sims for wandering and taking photos. It’s a bit smaller of a town now than it used to be, although still lovely and definitely worth a visit.
A Really Volcanic Ensemble
When I heard that S@BBiA had put out a new lucky board gift, I hurried over to the store and planted myself in a chair. I only had to wait a short while before an “S” popped up (very unusual!) and I received this fabulous coat, skirt, and sweater ensemble. The outfit only comes in one mesh size, but what’s really nice is that a HUD is included so you can turn on or off any of the pieces. For instance, you could wear the coat and sweater with a pair of jeans, or only the coat, only the skirt and sweater… I’m sure you get the idea! I’m not certain if you need to be a member of the S@BBiA group in order to use the lucky boards since I had my tag on at the time. But the group is free to join, and lots of other gifts are available to pick up, so there is no reason not to join, right?
For accessories, I headed over to the ULTRA Event. There are quite a few nice gifts available at this round, including the gold and amethyst (I think) jewelry I’m wearing by Modish, and this gorgeous handbag by Clef de Peau. You do need to join the ULTRA group in order to grab the gifts, but the group is free to join.
My shoes are by Ingenue, and I love the slightly retro look of them. They were set out a few days ago for Fifty Linden Friday, but as of this publishing, you can still grab them – or a pair in teal – for 50L. They come in sizes for Maitreya and Slink (high) mesh feet.
I’m Wishful Make-Upping!
My skin and makeup are by Amara Beauty for the January Powder Pack, a brand-new “mystery box” designed specifically for wearers of Catwa mesh heads. While the box itself is definitely not 75L or less, I do feel that it was a very good value, considering all that you get. This month, there were skins, makeups, and eyelashes from 12 different designers, several of which were thoughtful enough to include Omega appliers so you can use the items on heads other than Catwa.
The Julia applier that I’m wearing today included 3 different skin tones with 2 eyebrow colors (or no eyebrows, if you prefer to add your own), 9 eyeshadows, 18 lipsticks, and even included Omega body appliers. I hadn’t worn Amara Beauty skins before, and I have to say that this one is really pretty and a different look for me. I will definitely be checking them out again! 😀

When I heard Les Fees Endormies had a set of 5 retro style dresses for only 10L each, I ran over there so fast I left skid marks! These lovely tidbits come in mesh sizes for Maitreya, Slink, and Belleza. This picture is shown on the Maitreya body, but I also tried these dresses on a variety of original body shapes with great success.
7 Deadly skins offers monthly group gifts on top of a wall full of mini and midnight manias. I slapped the mystery surprise midnight mania and was gifted with this beautiful, lightly freckled set of OMEGA head appliers in the skin tone of oak. Natural and rich tones, with a hint of eye makeup makes this a skin I could wear every day.
It’s Friday Fab Free’rs and I couldn’t be happier! Though the week went by quickly, for me anyway, it was still quite a week. Thankfully I have my excursions in Second Life to relax and enjoy some “me” time. While on said excursions in the world of SL, I came across the Sanarae event, and the many Lucky Boards there. As mentioned in my previous post, the free-to-join Sanarae group is required for the Lucky Boards. This adorably flirty dress from a shop called Sorbet is one of the many lucky board gifts at Sanarae.
I love love love the rock-a-billy pinup look to this dress! I really can’t say anything negative about this fully mesh dress. The colors are great, and I really like the flare of the skirt. This dress by Sorbet is honestly my personal favorite of the FREE Lucky Board prizes at Sanarae.
To emphasize the rock-a-billy part of this pinup look, I picked up the April group gift from EMO-tions. This retro pony with bandanna and rolled bangs is just too perfect. The EMO-tions group is FREE to join, making this fun hairstyle FREE as well. It comes in the blonde tones, and 4 color options for the bandanna. Also you can pick up a set of bangs, and some hair-base appliers for FREE at EMO-tions. Don’t forget to wear your group tag!
Here are the details, Enjoy!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far. I decided to take a little time away from the snow and the cold and enjoy some time in the sun wearing this fantastic FREE subscribo gift from BYRNE. The crop top and skirt combo Pru has on is the most recent subscribo gift sent out through the BYRNE subscriber. This is just the kind of outfit that reminds me of all the things I love about summer. While sweater weather is certainly still one of my favorite kinds of weather, there’s definitely something to be said for warm summer afternoons and evenings. BYRNE has used an amazingly detailed texture with a beautiful snakeskin pattern for this outfit. The raspberry red color gives it just the right touch of girlishness. Already a member of the BYRNE subscrbo? No problem! Just click the subscriber and check the message history. Keep in mind that just like regular group history, subscriber history is only available for a limited time!
It’s always fun when gifts seem to go together perfectly. These beautiful earrings from Plastik are a recent FREEgroup gift and I think they look great with the FREE gift from BYRNE. These detailed mesh earrings are a New Year gift from Plastik, just join the group and check past notices. Both the large and regular size are part of the gift. I kind of want to wear them with everything they are so pretty! At this time the Plastik group is FREE to join as well. Don’t forget past notices are available for a limited time!
Hello Fab Free! For those celebrating Memorial Day this weekend, I hope you have some lovely weather. One of the great things about Second Life is the rain can’t ruin the party. Speaking of parties, I feel ready for a retro sock-hop in this fantastically adorable group group gift at Knockers.
The Knockers group is 150 lindensto join, and this fully mesh group gift dress and matching jacket are well worth the effort. This mesh dress can be worn with or without the matching mesh jacket. I think the jacket would be equally cute with jeans, and y0u’ve gotta love the iconic poodle decal on the skirt as well as the back of the jacket. Both items come in standard mesh sizes with matching alpha layers. The dress has appliers for Lolas Tango and Mirage.
This Rockabilly Roller Derby Girl put away her knee pads in exchange for a dress, but couldn’t bare to be without skates!
Luckily, thanks to REIGN, she didn’t have to! In a recent group notice, REIGN sent out these to-die-for cute “Derby Heels” as a group gift. The shoes are a striking pair of black high heels with a unique set of custom skate wheels. Not only do they look cool, they act cool too. These Derby Heels are animated with a derby-style skating animation that kicks in when you move around. There is also a second set that were sent out in a separate group notice that are without any animations so you can use your own skate AO with them if you so desire. These sexy cool heels include compatible versions for Slink High Feet, TMP Ouch Feet, Belleza Feet, and Maitreya Feet.
I’ll admit, when I first saw the shoes from REIGN I was worried I might have trouble finding something awesome to go with them. I was so wrong! This cute cheetah print dress is the most recent FREE Subscribo gift from BYRNE. The dress comes in two versions, the other being a white version. Along with a daring slit up the side, this animal print dress has a pretty metallic shine in certain lighting, which makes it all the prettier on. Why a cheetah print dress goes so well with roller-heels? I have no idea, but I love the look! All you have to do is teleport over to BYRNE and slap that Subscribo and the dresses are yours.
To add a pop of color to my rockin’ outfit, I picked up the new gift from NSP Florals out at Fab Free Headquarters. The lovely rose choker and matching hair flower are just stunning. Something about spring really makes me want to wear flowers. 🙂 Both items are scripted with a re-size script. This is a completely FREE gift with no groups to join. I want to wear them with everything! Pick up this beautiful set at FFHQ .
With the weather so nice, and the sun shining more often than not, the accessory must-have is a cute pair of sunglasses! I knew I had to have something with a retro look to them, and I found just what I wanted on the Marketplace. Sn@tch has these reto-inspired sunglasses on the Marketplace for just 30 lindens. They have color change lenses and some great little detailing to make them stand out from similar styles. I really feel like they did the perfect job of completing the look.
Here are the details, Enjoy!

Happy Friday the 13th, my dears! I hope your luck has held out. I should have done some lucky clovers or horseshoes for the post today. I guess we’ll just have to get by with Free!
This is the ‘Serendipity Outfit’ from Gaall. The cute crocheted coat, tank and jeans is the Group Gift for March. I love the retro granny squares and the rik-rak hem. Too cute and it looks so comfy. The Gaall group is free to join and there are several past gifts available in the main store.

Sexy Bish Clothing Co. has a cart at the current round of The Cart Sale at The Wash, and you need to go there! The Sexy Bish Cart includes retro rockabilly inspired items, but the show stoppers are these vintage hot-rod inspired heels. What would otherwise be just a really nice pair of high heels becomes a really gorgeous pair of shoes with the added detail of these “pinstripes” that are very like the detailing you might find on a restored classic hot rod. I seriously went bananas over them when I first saw them! These shoes are meant to be worn with Slink High feet and are available for just $10 lindens per pinstripe color.
Also at the Sexy Bish Cart you’ll find this fun set of vintage retro inspired wall art. Included in the 4 piece set is the “Hell Cat” poster shown above, along with two other posters and a wall sticker. The full set is $10 lindens. These items would be great additions to any retro themed room or as props for photos.
Below is a photo of the Sexy Bish Cart so you know just what to look for and get a little preview of all the items and colors available.
