Not Goodbye, but Thank You…

I looked long and hard for the right quote to begin this post and the only one I could find that was fitting was this:

“This is not goodbye, my darling, this is a thank you.”

To all of you Fabulous readers, to my FabFree team… to those who gave me hunt tips… and to my hunting partner-in-crime Damian, “Thank you” for what would have been three glorious years of blogging coming up this next month.

I Do have to say Farewell for now, however, and so this will be a parting post. If only for a while. Real life has intruded in the form of some health issues and I have to take some time to focus on myself. I will still take some pictures and keep up my Flickr as time allows with my partner-in-crime and hunting buddy that you all have read about now and then and who I am finally giving a name to… my beloved Damian.

TGIF at the Beach!

I’ve been craving a day at the beach for a while… being landlocked in the middle of the USA… but I’m not exactly a swimsuit kind of gal. This pretty boho skirt with its strappy top was just the perfect answer to my mood. Going on Tour

It seemed fitting that since I was on the trail of the world tour hunt that I should visit the Eiffel Tower. I took a picture in front of it with a few of my choice gifts from the hunt. I outfitted myself from hair to shoes for just 6L in World style and you can too… then take a tour of the Tower yourself!

The Hair.

My hair is a free style from Firelight! as part of the World Tour Hunt. Like all the gifts it is just 2L to pick up. It only comes in the brown shade shown, but you do get both a regular version plus a busty version of these luscious locks!

Styling.

A Little Light Reading

The weather has been a little crazy where I live lately – cold in the mornings and hot in the afternoons. For me… the temperature change is just plain uncomfortable and impossible to dress to go outside for. So I’d much rather stay inside and curl up with a good book. Right now, my guilty pleasure is a Laurell K. Hamilton novel… shhh don’t tell anyone, but I love the Anita Blake series!

Yup, I’m getting old.

I grew up on a farm… it didn’t even qualify as a small town… and when I went off to college, I moved away to the city. I often blog things from Vision simply because they are such good quality. This newest group gift is no exception. You can pick it up with the free to join store group or the VIP group either one. Speaking of Fae…

Not long ago, I visited the Redeux event and showed off one of the free gifts I picked up in a post [here]. I’ve been unpacking boxes ever since. There are so many gifts that it seems I’ll be unpacking boxes for months! Luckily I managed to narrow down my findings to a few special ones to share with you. It’s not secret that I love roleplay and fantasy looks, so I was excited to put together a roleplay look for you. I helped it along with a group gift from a special store that you’ll want to pick up.

So versatile…

I stopped by Silvan Moon Designs to pick up the April Gift and discovered that the gift this month is really versatile. This little dress is a casual style that you could wear as a Boho dress if you were out-of-character, or you could doll it up with accessories to make a fae as I have done, or it has just enough of a traveler feel to create a gypsy. There are so many possibilities! The Silvan Moon Designs group has a one-time join fee of 500L, but you will get a quality gift each month to more than make up for the fee. This dress comes in sizes to fit Maitreya, Slink Original, and Slink Hourglass bodies.

Speaking of Fae…

So you know I revisited Redeux. I picked up my wings from Poet’s Heart. They are a beautiful pearlized shade of purple, draped in pearls. They include a color change hud for the pearls too! This is a free gift with your Redeux tag, and the Redeux gift is free to join.

What else?

What else did I get? I also nabbed some stone textures. A package of 18 really terrific ones to be exact. To get these, stop by the Timeless textures booth at Redeux and pick up the free gift there. You can see an example of one of the great looking textures behind me in these pictures.

Oh and one more thing…

I LOVE this necklace by Steelhead Outfitters. It fits perfectly and is another free gift from Redeux. This is another one of those gifts that is perfect for roleplay or everyday wear either one. It also includes a color change hud that allows you to change the color of the cord and the circular pendant both separately for lots of versatility! And don’t forget that it’s free!

Easter may be over, but…

Easter may be over but the hunts haven’t ended. All the eggs have rotted! And there are still prizes to be found in them! Thankfully, 20 stores have banded together to create….. dun dun dun! The Rotten Egg Hunt! Each store has set out up to 5 gifts on the Rotten Egg Hunt Sim where you can hunt gifts to your heart’s content. The gifts range in price from 1L to 10L and all are of very high quality. I went over there and checked it out myself before all the eggs disappeared and came away with some great prizes. Don’t worry though, you have until April 28th!

I spent some time unpacking my gifts and found two favorites I wanted to share with you. First was this Latex Lingerie by Kawaii. Laundry Day

I swear Love never runs out of clothes. Just look at everything she found here, and here, and here! I – on the other hand – am a guy. And I wear my stuff until I’m down to nothing but socks and underwear for laundry day. So that’s how I ended up at the laundry mat in my socks and my skivvy’s. At least I get to do it Faaaaaabulously.
