I almost skipped this outfit. I do like the items at Feyline Fashions but they are old school Second Life – Mesh and Prims. While this isn’t a deal breaker for me… sometimes folks expect the latest and Meshy-est. But I thought ‘what the heck?’ I have a ton of friends on the grid who still rock their old school non mesh system bodies so why not!
This is ‘Patchwork Mary” from Feyline Fashions and it’s the 3L Hunt prize for the Multicolor Hunt. And this is old school. The dress is rigged Mesh while the scarf and the sleeve “cuffs” are prims. But as you can see they are just beautifully made. I love the Boho patchwork skirt, it has such a happy hippy vibe! The outfit come with a backpack filled with a quill, parchment and some tasty apples for a snack. This is a great set for RP and it will be showing up for my character soon. There is a matching men’s outfit in the prize too.
The one drawback…. The Hunt ends on Sunday the 31st! So get out there this weekend!

Where did the weekend go? By this time Friday it will be Christmas Day! Can you believe it? I’m half in denial myself. lol Two things that seem to go hand in hand for better or worse are Christmas and shopping. I finally worked my way through the behemoth that is the Holiday Shop & Hop event and as overwhelming as it can be, I have to admit it was worth it. My inventory now flooded with gifts, I thought I’d share a few with you.
If you’ve never gone to one of the Shop & Hop events before, there are a few things you should know. First, there’s no group needed for the gifts, just click the gift box at each of the designer’s booths. Second, there are eight sims to wander through. Yes, I said eight. As you can imagine, that’s a lot of shopping and hopping. For this post I chose to share the freeHoliday Shop & Hop gifts by Eclectic Stars, Unicorn, and Infiniti. Eclectic Stars
When it comes down to it, one of the labels that could be used to describe me (and I think most of us in SL) is “gamer.” Eclectic Stars put out the perfect Christmas sweater for any gamer girl as their freeShop & Hop gift. It has a Christmas tree on it made entirely of Space Invader-style aliens. :O So cute!
As a photographer and a blogger, I’ve got an ever-growing collection of backdrops and photo props and I like it that way. The freeShop & Hop gift by Unicorn is this fun wintery holiday outdoor setting complete with a snowman, evergreen tree, and a festively decorated front porch. If you’re in need of a cute backdrop for some holiday photos, don’t skip this one.

Finally, this pose with the snowball and falling snow are part of the freeShop & Hop gift by Infiniti. The gift includes a set of 3 poses that include a snowball prop. The falling snow is a wearable add-on, and I have to say I love the detail of the pretty snowflakes. Almost like shoes, I’m a firm believer that there is no such thing as too many poses! For now I’m off to go see if I can’t sneak up on Blue with this snowball. Wish me luck! lol
With Thanksgiving looming (I know I said I wouldn’t celebrate, but the rest of my extended family does.) and Christmas ever approaching, I felt the need to inspire a bit of the holiday spirit in myself. I put on a comfy somewhat Christmas-like outfit, even got out the reindeer antlers just for fun. Turned on some holiday music, hung some flashy snowflakes in my kitchen, and got to baking. This year I decided to challenge myself with Crème Brulee. After a couple of tries, I think I’ve got it down! Now to whip up a practice batch of Christmas cookies… not because I really need to practice making them, but rather I want to practice eating them. 😛
Beusy
You can get yourself into the spirit of the season, or just look extra cute by heading over to Beusy and taking advantage of their Black Friday sale. Everything in the store is marked 60% off. Regular hairstyles are 100L per color pack, however gachas are 25L per play. I took advantage of the sale on gachas. This cute fatpack shoulder-length style with optional reindeer antlers is the Rare gacha prize in the “Once Upon Eve” machine. At 25 linden per play you really can’t go wrong, especially if you take someone with you who is willing to trade! This Black Friday Sale at Beusy ends Nov. 28th.
LS Store
Also, this long t-shirt style dress with “LOVE” in block lettering on the front is a free gift at LS Store for the Mesh Body Friends group. You’ll need to join the free-to-join Mesh Body Friends group in order to get your gift. This dress has a color change hud with several colorful choices, and 2 grey and white combinations.

While I might not normally be a redhead, I found this pumpkin colored hairstyle by Firelight too cute to not share. I also think that the vibrant orange-red color is quite pretty, even if it’s not my usual. That said this pretty ponytail is also free as part of the Swank Pumpkin Hunt. Find and click the Swank logo pumpkin at the Firelight booth. The hairstyle comes in the “pumpkin” color shown with 2 size options. Remember to wear the Swank group tag from the free-to-join group.

Finally, I came across some gorgeous BOM and applier eyeshadows by Izzie’s on the Marketplace for free. The “Gloom Eyeshadows” are 0 linden on the Marketplace. With this gift you’ll get 5 smoky colors in 2 variations each.
It was like a whisper or was it just the wind. The voice I just heard, murmur in my ear. I continued working, finally after a long day, I retired to my bed. Was awoken from such a vivid dream. As my eyes opened the dream faded, all but a feeling, then the voice again. “You will embark on a journey across the grid. To find the pieces you need to become the Druid Wizard I seek.” I shook my head then fell fast asleep. I rose the next morning thinking nothing of my dream the night before. Again the voice whispered in my ear. “To Kitty Creations you must go, quickly you must embark on the journey. For in a fortnight’s time I will need you. Look upon the floor and follow the silver gargoyle tracks. They will lead thy to what it is you seek. A miniature charred looking gargoyle which holds your gift.”
Once I found my gift I went to open it. The voice told me nay, you need to find all the piece before you can open the gifts. Off to Lindy the voice sent me to look upon the The Renaissance Hunt poster for the mini gargoyle that harbored my hint. I traveled the grid scaling mountains, across lakes, over vast sims, large oceans, and treacherous passes. To Simply Shelby, Delightful Creations, and Sweet Revolutions. Finally my journey was nearing it’s end. I had gathered all the pieces to which I was sent to find. I opened them in order from the first found to the last.
I donned the leather red hooded jacket and black pants from Kitty Creations. Pulled on the worn red leather Druda shoes from Lindy. I yielded the crystal wizard staff from Simply Shelby. Before I could open the others I was told to enter the dark woods. Travel through them until I saw the mystic fog. Was to follow it, where I came upon a druid rock circle. There I opened my last to gifts. The Spinning Pentagram from Delightful Creations and the Magical Crystal Of Lunimba from Sweet Revolutions.
They seemed to both spring from the boxes and move magically into place at the center of the stone circle. I was drawn onto the pentagram near the Crystal of Lunimba. I held up the staff and my hand. Before I knew it I was chanting the crystal was glowing and magical sparks filled the air. Swirling around me zodiac rune symbols appeared. Out of thin air a mystical pentagram formed in my hand. I had finally become the Druid Wizard to which the voice sought.

The Historical Hunts Ltd. holds three hunts a year. All of them are free just like this one. Why not have a little fun, do something different, and join the hunt. Hello hello Fab Free’rs! I think there’s some unspoken rule that when dating someone you must at some point wear one of their shirts. I’ve certainly stolen borrowed Blue’s shirts before. This time I claimed his pajama shirt; though honestly I don’t think it bothered him at all. These royal blue heart print pajamas are the his and hers Sin City 3 hunt prize at The Sissy Bar.
The Sin City 3 Hunt has multiple paths. These prizes are the male and female path prizes at The Sissy Bar priced at 1 linden each. Both the men’s pajama pants and the women’s pajama top come in several sizes. There is also an alpha layer and standard mesh sizes so these dollarbie hunt gifts are suitable for classic non-mesh avatars.
This time of year I always find myself reflecting on the year past, and looking forward to the year ahead. This year has been and continues to be one for the books. Demons manifest through arcane ritual and hell fire. What is this? Has the world been flung into a darkness where horned devils step into the light? Well, perhaps nothing quite that malevolent, however there are a few days left of the Twisted Hunt where you can find a lot of what Blue and I are wearing, as well as some of the demonic décor Blue used to create this fiendish atmosphere for free. The free Twisted Hunt prize by Sweet Revolutions really has to be seen to be truly appreciated. This “Damned Conjure Circle” pose/prop is being used as awesome demonic background imagery in my photo, however it has 4 poses included.
Pendulum Group Gift
Last, but very far from least, I simply couldn’t resist this group gift at Pendulum. The gift includes the delicate almost snowflake-like face gems/tears I’m wearing along with optional side embellishments worn near the temple. These pretty gifts come in 3 metallic colors.
