The Damned

Demons manifest through arcane ritual and hell fire. What is this? Has the world been flung into a darkness where horned devils step into the light? Well, perhaps nothing quite that malevolent, however there are a few days left of the Twisted Hunt where you can find a lot of what Blue and I are wearing, as well as some of the demonic décor Blue used to create this fiendish atmosphere for free. You just have to hunt them! The hunt ends on September 30th. I also picked up one of the group gifts at Pendulum to help accessorize my devilish appearance. Since there are several of the Twisted Hunt prizes included in this post, I added the vendor photos I could find below. To get more details about each of these finds, keep reading. Roped Passions

The hooded top and side-split skirt I have on is the free female gift on the Twisted Hunt at Roped Passions. This free gift comes in the following sizes: Belleza (Freya, Isis, Venus), Tonic (Curvy, Fine), Slink (Hourglass, Physique), Maitreya Lara. Attitude is an Artform

The long sinister looking horns Blue has on are also free as part of the Twisted Side Hunt at Attitude is an Artform. Once you find them of course! These demonic horns come in 3 size variations.

Elemental

Blue’s facial tattoo is also free for the Twisted Hunt. You can hunt it down at Elemental. This free hunt gift comes in an applier for Lelutka, Catwa, and Genus heads.

Tone 2

Blue’s haunting eyes are Tone 2‘s free Twisted Hunt gift. They come as standard eyes, and as an Omega applier.

Sweet Revolutions

The free Twisted Hunt prize by Sweet Revolutions really has to be seen to be truly appreciated. This “Damned Conjure Circle” pose/prop is being used as awesome demonic background imagery in my photo, however it has 4 poses included.

Pendulum Group Gift 

Last, but very far from least, I simply couldn’t resist this group gift at Pendulum. The gift includes the delicate almost snowflake-like face gems/tears I’m wearing along with optional side embellishments worn near the temple. These pretty gifts come in 3 metallic colors. Did You Hear That?

Friday the 13th is the perfect day to go camping, right? Surely nothing sinister would happen… I can just hear the iconic “something bad is about to happen” music starting to play! I love a classic horror flick, so when Blue showed me these Camp Crystal Lake tees by ZFG (Zero F*cks Given) I had to share them with you; today being Friday the 13th is just the icing on the cake.

The matching his and hers shirts are the free Twisted Hunt prize at ZFG. When hunting be wary of the decoy boxes the Twisted Hunt is famous for. The Twisted Hunt runs through the end of the month, so you have some time to get things figured out. There are no hints either, so I can’t help you there. That Friday Feelin’

Next the Lacy Perfection

To show off the low rise waist of my pants, I knew I wanted a cropped top, but I just couldn’t find one in my inventory that was the right hue.  Of course, this meant one thing………shopping!  As per my usual on Fridays, I checked out this week’s offerings for Fifty Linden Friday, and spotted the Pico Top in Sunny from A N E  Main Store, and I knew this was just what I was looking for!  With a light, airy texture perfect for my escape to summer, cute little side ties draping down, and a buttery hue that seemed to be made to go with my bell bottoms, I happily paid the 50L and teleported home to try it on.  Sometimes the color on the vendor picture is not quite a match for the actual hue of the item, so I crossed my fingers.  It was a perfect match!  Actually, the folder contains two versions of the Pico top, so you get a brown color as well as the sunshiney shade.   The shirt is made specifically for the Maitreya body, so if you have a different body type, it might not work for your avatar.  The only caveat is, this is a deal for Friday only, so if you like this top as much as I do, scurry on down to the shop before it’s too late!

Ripley has been worriedly eyeing my balancing act on these old timbers, so I’d better hop down before he goes into full blown rescue mode.  He is itching to go off and explore the rest of the Soul 2 Soul sim.  It’s so beautifully landscaped and we are both eager to check it out.  Until my next post, happy shopping!

Date Night Ready!

Hello Fabulous Readers and Happy Sunday!  I hope you had a relaxing weekend.  I must be on a spring cleaning kick, because I spent a good part of mine cleaning, washing floors, etc.  It’s nice to have things neat and organized, but it also felt so good to sit down, log in to Second Life, and have some quiet time with Ripley laying silently nearby.  Although he didn’t scrub the germs away along with me, he must have felt some sympathetic fatigue, because he happily took a long snoozer by my side.  I hadn’t been logged on to SL very long when I received an IM from Love telling me that a “K” had appeared on a lucky chair over at Just Ordinary.  After a huge thank you, and a quick teleport over to the shop, I happily journeyed back home to unpack my prize.

An Unexpected Journey

Hello, Fabulous Readers!  Today, Ripley and I returned to one of our favorite sims – Deciduous.  We traveled down a path we had never explored before, and stumbled across a lovely cove complete with a gentle surf calmly lapping the shore.  An old wooden rowboat sat abandoned on the beach.  Ever curious, the pupster trotted off to investigate.  He hopped aboard, and began sniffing the cushions piled in the stern section of the boat.  Glancing back at me, he gave me that “I’ve found something interesting!” look, so I joined him.  That’s when our curious adventure began.  Unexpectedly, the ancient craft unfurled wings and soared into the sky.   While I stumbled and attempted to keep my balance, Rip happily faced the bow, his nostrils twitching in the wind, and his tail wagging gently with anticipation. “Oh, Rip, what have you gotten us into this time?” I wondered.

At Least I Looked Lovely…

Happy Friday, Fabulouses!  I’m so glad the weekend is finally here.  I’ve been a bit under the weather in RL, and look forward to some down time for the next couple of days where I can just take it easy.  It’s time for some rest, relaxation, and shopping therapy!

Hello Fabulouses!  Ripley and I made a new pal today as we were out wandering across The Mill.  Maybe it was my cowgirl boots, maybe my lovely new dress, or perhaps the carrots I snuck to him, but Beau, here, is now one of our fast friends.  He’s super gentle, and with him around, I will never have to mow the lawn again! 🙂

Speaking of the Dress…

Echoes of Summer

Hello Fabulouses!  Although it was a manic Monday in some parts of the world, I still enjoyed the balmy weather on my impromptu getaway.   The soft lap of waves, the cries of gulls, and the golden glow of a lovely sunset filled the air as Ripley and I explored the Salt Water sim.

Strapless Summery Fashion

Before heading out with the pup, I slipped on the Salin dress, which is the latest free gift for Fab Free group members from Ecko.  I love the fit of this strapless frock, and the way the hemline is slightly longer in the back than in the front.  Featuring a silvery gray and black pattern, this dress is perfect for a casual stroll or a day of shopping.  I chose to leave my shoulders bare, but I could see draping on a lovely necklace or even a shawl to add an additional touch of flair.  To scoop up Salin for your very own, simply swap over to your Fab Free Group tag, teleport to Ecko, then tap the gift board.  You will come away with a super cute, free summer dress.  Happy times!

A Little Touch of Bling

To add a bit of elegance, I embellished my outfit with a pair of dangling silver Shaka earrings that I discovered for 70% off at Mandala’s Marketplace store.  The detail and workmanship the designer invested while crafting these jewels is impressive.  With a texture that readily complemented my dress, these earrings added just the right touch of movement and sparkle.  I have always loved Mandala jewelry, and discovering the continued 70% off sale on certain items at the Marketplace store was enough to bring a smile to my face.

The Dreaded Return to the Grind

All too quickly, my escape with Rip will end.  I’d better savor these last few moments of serenity before we have to face Jack Frost’s chilly presence once more.  I hope you will be able to utilize the magic of SL to experience a bit of warmth and sunshine if you long for an echo of summer like I did.  Until my next post, happy shopping!

Enticing Polka Dots Paired with Spooktacular Shoes

 

Greetings, Fabulous Readers!  I hope you are having a relaxing weekend.  After recovering from his traumatic experience at the V.E.T. last week, Ripley quickly bounced back and soon headed off, nose to the ground.  With nary a step off target, he led me directly to Entice and didn’t stop until he sat in front of the Midnight Mania board.  After looking up at the polka dot dress, then back at me, Ripley whined, then tapped the board with his paw.  I bet you know by now, I’ve learned it’s best to follow my pup where ever he takes me.  Sure enough, Rip’s intuition was right on the money.  When I logged in to SL the next day, I saw the inventory offer from Entice and set straight to opening the box and pulling out the Side to Side dress.

With its bright, circular pops of color splashed across a black background, and a red belt to accentuate the waist, this cheery dress offers a fun addition to your SL wardrobe and won’t put even the slightest ding in your budget.  The Midnight Mania board does require you to join the Entice group, but it’s free to join, and there are a bunch of lucky boards and gifts just waiting for members to claim.  On our way out, Ripley befriended this adorable Corgie in a lobster outfit and I had to take a quick snapshot of the little guy.  Isn’t he cute?

In search of the perfect accessories, the pupster and I journeyed over to Cae, one of my favorite jewelry stores.  As we arrived, I noticed the glowing Gacha Guardian Rune Stone right away.  Cae has a free charm bracelet set out and you can try your luck on the Gacha board for a plethora of Trick or Treat charms for 75L a turn.  From an adorable pumpkin, a spooky ghost, a witch hat, a spider, and my favorite, the silver cat (well, my name is Kat :P), these charms all magically attach to the free bracelet with the included HUD.  You can opt to wear Cae’s bracelet as a simple chain, snap on a single charm, or add as many as you like.  Now, I have to admit, Gacha machines are my nemesis and Ripley’s eyes became a bit worried as I was determined to get…. that….cat….charm.  It didn’t take long, though, and I soon had a jingly charm bracelet to add a Halloween theme to my outfit.

All that was left was a cute pair of shoes.  Ripley and I had read Astrid’s post here about the Spooktacular Goth Hunt over at Swank Events, and decided to check it out.  After a short time of searching, we discovered the black rose containing the free prize from Ghostyss, which is this gorgeous pair of Carrie heels for slink high feet.  I particularly like the way these sweet black shoes have a thin cord that wraps around your ankles and ties in an adorable bow on the back.  There are numerous black roses scattered around the Swank Events show room, in designer’s booths and cleverly hidden all around, so look everywhere and you will discover LOTS of prizes, all set for sale at 0L.  The hunt runs until October 31st.

Now, Ripley must have some Blood Hound coursing through his veins, because after we finished at Spooktacular, he was off and running toward another hunt, with me scrambling to keep up with his racing paws.  This time, he led me to LaBoheme for the Halloween Hunt, which is a 1L hunt that runs through November 2nd.  All you have to do is locate the glowing jack o’lantern cleverly concealed in the store and soon you’ll have two sets of nail polish for Slink, Omega and Maitreya.  I’m wearing the “Dark Passion” polish (this shade is one of the ten colors in the HUD) for this outfit, but in the hunt prize, you also get a spooky Catacomb polish as well).

A trip to Black Basalt Beach was a perfect way to end the day.  Ripley and I explored the lovely grounds, had fun playing fetch and followed some shy deer across a log suspended over a gully.  There are so many sights to see at this beautiful sim.  If you have free time and love to visit SL locations, I encourage you to check it out.  Until next Sunday, happy shopping, my friends!
