Happy middle of the week, Fabulouses!  I don’t know about you, but I’m really looking forward to a couple of days off.  After last weekend without a working computer (technology withdrawal – eep!), I am yearning for some retail therapy.

A Canine Mission

Every night in RL, I hide a dental treat for the pupster, and give the command, “Find It!”  It’s one of his favorite moments, and he’s gotten quite good at using his nose to sniff out the chew.  He gets so excited when he knows I am looking for the perfect spot to conceal his treasure.  Astrid’s post {HERE} about Eclipse themed gifts inspired me to send Ripley on a search mission, not for a treat for him, but for me this time.  He happily led me straight to Dahlia where I was able to scoop up this free Eclipse Necklace.   It’s actually part of a set, which includes a ring, as well as a texture change HUD that allows you to change the color of the moon and the metal.  I opted for black to coordinate with my dress, but I could just have easily chosen white or a deep burgandy.  In order to pick up this jewelry set for yourself, you will need to join the Dahlia group, but it is completely free!

Feeling Erratic

Hello Fabulouses!  What a weekend it was for me in RL.  My hard drive failed in my computer, and then I ran into technical difficulties with installing the new one.  Fortunately, once I was able to return to SL, there were no problems there.  Ripley and I quickly got back into the swing of hunting for budget friendly fashions, and discovered this sleek button front frock to share with our favorite readers.

Pretty in Purple (or Whatever Color You Choose)

My curve-hugging mini dress today is the latest free group gift from Erratic.  Featuring short sleeves, and a buttoned closure, this little number is quite sassy with a few of its fasteners undone.  It comes complete with a color change HUD with 12 texture options, just in case violet is not your style.  The fabric has a soft sheen with realistic folds, and I was quite pleased with the flattering fit. Hello there, Fabulouses!  Ripley and I are popping in with a quick post to showcase a Vintage Gacha Fair gift today. When we arrived, we were quite pleasantly surprised to discover that a number of talented designers are featuring free gifts at their booths at the fair.  My top today is courtesy of Belle Epoque.  Featuring a vintage pink gingham fabric, trimmed with lace edging, this tank-style cropped top is a summer time classic.  I chose to pair it with denim shorts, but the generous designer is also offering coordinating pink shorts as a gift for shoppers at the fair.  The delicate shade of pink is soft and feminine, ideal for this vintage shirt.  It comes in one mesh version, which fit my Maitreya Lara body perfectly.  The Vintage Gacha Fair runs until August 13th, so you have plenty of time to mosey on over to the Path of Destiny sim to scoop up some free goodies for yourself.    Most of the stalls have white boxes set out, which contain a free present for you.  It’s well worth the visit!

Follow Your Butterflies

Happy Sunday, Fabulous Readers!  After a long first week back to work in RL, it sure was nice to have a quiet moment with the pupster on the front porch.  When a butterfly alighted on my outstretched hand, that moment became pure magic, but I should have expected that since I was standing in Luane’s World – a romantic, magical sim.

The Dress

My frock today is the latest free gift from Mooh! for members of Fabulously Free in SL.  The Strapless Spring Dress features a soft lavender bodice, and a white skirt adorned with an elegant purple and lavender butterfly.  It was perfect for a late summer morning exploring with Ripley.  I love the delicate double strap detail at the neckline, which is echoed on the deeply plunging back.  With mesh and fitmesh sizes for classic avatars, as well as popular mesh body types, this outfit will fit almost any avatar.  Best of all, the Fab Free group is completely free to join, so you can scoop up this little number for a song!

The Necklace

My Mesh Whimsical Butterfly Necklace from ~{Sasha Lee}~ is part of a set that I picked up on the Marketplace for only 49L.  It features a long, silver chain, and a silver butterfly with a diamond studded body, and opalescent jewels embedded in its wings.  Matching earrings complete the set, but I chose not to wear them for my photo.  It seemed like it was almost made to go with my lovely new dress!

Hello Fabulouses!  Ethereal, enchanted, exotic…….all describe my appearance today – thanks to the latest Fab Free group gift from Rowena’s Designs.  If you are in the mood for something mythical and out of the ordinary, Ripley and I have a Fabulous Find that is right up your alley. It’s Time for a Knotical Weekend Getaway

Hello Fabulouses, and Happy Friday!  I have a cute, casual outfit to share with you today.  One of the items is a Fifty Linden Friday offer, so if you want to pick it up for yourself, I’d suggest heading to the shop as soon as possible.

Feeling so Knotical

As soon as I saw the jaunty navy and white striped crop top from Valentina E., I knew it was destined for my inventory.  It has an adorable little twist in the bodice section that I had not seen before in a top.  Since it is a Fifty Linden Friday special offer, I only spent 50L for this cute little number.  It’s designed exclusively for the Maitreya mesh body, so it fit my avatar perfectly!  Since Ripley and I had plans to visit the beach at Maison de L’amitie, the nautical stripes echoed the sea-side theme of our day.

The Weekend’s In Sight

After a crazy busy week in RL for me, I’m really looking forward to a couple of days off.  My “Weekend” mini shorts from Kitchen Sink are aptly named!  Featuring a frayed denim edge, beautifully detailed stitching, and a curve hugging fit, these shorts complemented the dark navy stripes in my top.  The best part of all was these shorts are available at the KS shop on the Marketplace for only 10L – happy dance time!  The package includes Maitreya and Omega appliers, plus a clothing layer option for classic avatars.

Hello Fabulouses!  I’ve been so busy with preparing for my return to work in RL that I almost missed this Fabulous Find.  Thank goodness the pupster was paying attention to the group notices popping up on my screen! When I saw the group gift at Lamu, I was so excited to discover that it contained a complete outfit from head to toe.

Gypsy Soul

AnaLee Balut, the talented designer at ALB Dream Fashion, is celebrating her birthday month by sharing a special, free treat with members of the Lamu Group – a gorgeous frock with a decidedly bohemian vibe.  The Nur Dress features a halter-style top, which leaves your midriff bare above a a flowing maxi skirt.  The soft colors and decorative motif lend the outfit a romantic appeal.  I love the added detail of the ties which wrap around the waist!  This gift includes the emerald armlets, rose-gold bangles, and high heels in my picture, as well as a green diamond necklace, a hat, glittering glasses, and a flexi attachment for the skirt, which I opted not to wear for my photo shoot.  I was quite pleased with the carefree, gypsy feel of my finished look.  Best of all, the Lamu Group is completely free to join!  Happy Birthday to you, AnaLee!  Thank you for such a lovely gift!

Can’t Take My Eyes Off You

Hello Fabulouses!  Ripley and I sure put his tracking harness to good use lately.  This time, we hit the trail on the Four Seasons Hunt 2 and discovered this gorgeous flowing skirt (called Petra) from Trashed.  Featuring an asymmetrical hemline, which is short in the front, but falls to knee length in the back, Petra drew many compliments as I wandered throughout SL.  A violet and green floral print splashed across a black background coordinates beautifully with a violet inner lining.  The waistline and side ribbons echo this contrasting hue.  I imagined the skirt trailing behind me on the breeze as Ripley and I strolled through the Mystical Fae Forest.  This has to be one of my most favorite hunt finds of all time.  I just adore this skirt!

Although I enjoy Fourth of July celebrations, I dread them as well, because poor Ripley is terrified of the sound of fireworks.  Last night, he paced my room, and spent some time cowering partly under my computer desk (poor boy doesn’t quite fit under it any more).  I’m sure the next couple of days will be challenging for him as neighbors celebrate Independence Day with firecrackers, Roman Candles, and Skyrockets.
