In Search of Fall

I went out in search of fall. You’re probably thinking about why I would be searching for it. You see, in my RL world it’s still hotter than Hades. But there is a hint of fall here – the leaves are falling off my tree! Autumn is bursting out all over SL so my search was fairly easy. I did take time to hit a few MM boards along the way.

Are you all aware that the MM boards at Artic Storm are open to everyone? I was able to scoop up this great fall outfit by slapping the two boards there. Note: one board is one the first floor & the other is upstairs. The Martye Cardigan Gold and Martye Jeans Black also has a hud for the belt. The two items make up this lovely outfit. You’ll be ready for a hayride or clam bake or whatevah!

A Lot of Fight Left In Me

I stumbled upon a new event a few days ago! I’m sure it’s not *actually* new but it’s new to me. And wait, I didn’t tell you the best part yet…there are looooots of free gifts!

Astral

The event is called Astral Dreams and it’s full of lots of interesting things. Not your typically clothes and stuff, but neat tattoos and accessories and such. You will need to join the event group (for free) and then click on the boxes at most of the booths to get the free gifts. Pretty standard practice. The boxes rezzed last for me though, so you might need to be patient. I realize that I look a bit petulant today but I’m really quite pleased with the goodies that I found. All of these are free gifts from the Astral Dreams event:

• My eyes are by S H I M M and quite pretty. They come in a nice range of blues and greens, with a pretty purple thrown in as well, and with appliers for Lelutka and Catwa.
• The scratch under my eye is courtesy of Knife Party. It comes as a BOM layer. Sounds weird, but I do enjoy a good wound in SL and this one is quite well made. Ahem. Anyway, moving on.
• Hexed gifted the pretty tattoo that I’m wearing, which covers the chest, shoulder blades, and half way down each arm (you can see where it ends on my left arm). There are various opacity versions included, all as BOM layers.

But, also…

My hair is one of the new Midnight Mania prizes at Moon! These new prizes are really fantastic and the board fills up fast. Going The Distance

Ladies and Gentleman, start your engines! Imma be honest with you, I know even less about cars than I do about fashion. But here I am trying. For you, FabFree. Not that it’s very difficult, when the things are so nice and the price is so free.

Vroom Vroom

I acquired this car thanks to the lovely people in the FabFree group chat. It’s a nice window to keep open while you go about your SL – a bit of friendly chit chat, a lucky board or midnight mania to go slap, a freebie someone stumbled across – you just never know what will come up. In this case, it brought me to the midnight mania board at Vix Motors. There is no group join required and the board will lock at 400 slaps. That might sound high, but from what I can tell the board locks every day. The prize changes so you won’t get this exact car probably, but I’ve gotten a few of them and I can tell you that whatever free car you car you get will be nice. Or just go back the next day and try again!

Let’s see, what can I tell you about the car that I’m reclining gracefully upon? It is really pretty. It’s orange. And it’s probably fast but I can’t say for sure because I haven’t driven it. I can tell you that it does come with various HUDs and systems and versions and such. It also includes an assortment of posing by your car type animations, including the one that I’m using here. And, most importantly, it (or one like it) is free at Vix Motors. With just a slap of the midnight mania board it’ll be waiting for you upon login the next day. It doesn’t get much easier than that.

Obviously I needed the perfect outfit to wear, and Sweet Willows had my back with this Daytona outfit. It is the currently free group gift for the FabFree group, and the FabFree group is free to join. Beach Yoga

As we head into the start of a new week I’m all about some self care. I’ve decided to make some time for things like a little yoga and some meditation in my regular routine. For me there’d be no better spot for some restful mental zen than a quiet spot on the beach. I was visiting various Advents when I popped into one of my favorite designers to grab the free Advent gift for today. Then I saw this gorgeous little number on the group Midnight Mania board. I started clicking and was the lucky last one to lock down the board! This is the Mirana Mini from WellMade. The folder says it’s a mini dress but the silky texture and daring cut makes me think of lingerie.  Mirana comes with a HUD for six delicate colors perfect for that special evening with that special someone. I double checked and it’s still available on the Midnight Mania Board but these things change quickly so don’t delay.

Wrapped up for Christmas

My sassy new hair style is from No_Match and it’s half of the latest Group Gift. I say half because there are two totally different styles in the box. This one for the ladies, No Addiction, with the pigtails plus a “snow”, “ice” and “Ribbons” add-on. The other half is for the gents ( or girls who like pixi short haircuts) called No Deer, and it has stag antlers in it. I think I’ll twist Gabriel’s arm and make him show that one off in his next post. Both Hairstyles share an “Essentials” color HUD with a choice of twelve natural colors.

Fab Free Designer of the Week – Inner Demons

 

Is it Friday yet?! Okay, I know it’s not Friday, however we can take a little break and have a fun adventure among the fantastical scenery at the Inner Demons main store. It’s always fun when a shop has a store environment that is as interesting as the merchandise. Inner Demons is just such a place. You can follow the stone pathways through bright, colorful, glowing flora and fauna to shop for loosely fantasy themed furniture, décor, ladies clothing, and accessories. **Please note that the Inner Demons store is on an adult sim and has some adult themed items in the shop.

Near the landing point at Inner Demons is where you’ll find the “wall of information” as I like to call them. It’s where all of the shop associated events and such are posted. Just a little bit to the right from there, you can join the group, and pick up several group gifts. The Inner Demons group is just 50 linden to join. I think it’s well worth mentioning that the September group gift is a 150 linden gift card which more than makes up for the group join fee.

There are also 2 group only lucky letter boards at Inner Demons, and 1 free for everyone lucky letter board. There is a Midnight Mania board as well that does not require a group. In this same area is where you’ll find the Fabulously Free in SL group gift also. The gift is a cute heart shaped balloon with pose. Simply wear your Fab Free group tag and click the gift vendor to get your free gift. Should you need to join the Fabulously Free in SL group, there’s a Fab Free group joiner on the far left side of that “information wall” I mentioned.
