Ghost Hunting

It’s October. During this month, every bump, creak, and thud you hear seems to make your mind race. All those late night horror movies on the TV don’t make it any better. Have you ever had one of those friends that wants to pull you away from the safety of your home to go out and do some real ghost hunting? Whether it be the old creepy haunted house, run down school, or abandoned hospital. I knew two such people, that during the month of October had to visit at least one haunted place. A few years back they actually dragged me along. To none other then an old abandoned hospital. As we walked around, nothing seemed out of the ordinary to me. Sure a few sounds, maybe a moan, a thud in the distance. Then they dared me to go down to the morgue all by myself.

I was younger and never backed down from a dare. Yes, now that sounds rather idiotic and stupid. Totally something out of one of those horror movies we all watch. This time it was for real, for me anyway. I headed down to the morgue, stopping to make sure the bandanna on my hair was tied tight enough, gotta keep that long then unruly hair outta my eyes. That way I wouldn’t mistake it for some type of ghost in the corner of my eye. I pushed my way through the doors and walked into the morgue, which was a bit cold.  I pulled up my hood, from my smoke skull hoodie around my neck. I looked around, pieces from the ceiling scattered on the floor, a few of the body drawer doors open, and an old gurney against the back double doors. Then WHAM!!! One of the doors to the body drawers slams closed. Then a squeak, the gurney rolls back. I turn my head and there she is. I defensively put up a hand, leg, and scream. Yes…..yes I screamed. For there was a ghostly apparition of a teenage girl standing not just two feet away from me. There I was living a real life horror movie. To which I ran away from as fast as I could.

Nostalgia

Have you ever been nostalgic for something? Like the smell of an old bookstore or the sights and sounds of a record store. It’d be great to be able to just snap your finger and be instantly transported into a record store straight outta the movies. Like Championship Vinyl from High Fidelity, Trax from Pretty in Pink, Polymer Records from This is Spinal Tap, Motormouth Maybelle’s in Hairspray, Chelsea Drugstore from A Clockwork Orange, or Empire Records of Empire Records. I think it would be awesome to visit Trax. When I grab the Men Only Hunt gift from Ascend and saw the way the Rick Open button Blazer looked. It gave me them Duckie vibes.

I came up with a Duckie inspired outfit, decked out a record store in 80’s vibes, and put on some Otis Redding. Before you know it I was singing

There is Magic in the Air

There’s magic in the air this time of year. It’s when I feel most in my element. Having someone to share it with makes it even better! This halter style dress is every bit as cute on as it looks. I have to say I felt a little bit like Betty Rubble dressed in her Halloween frock. The Damned

Demons manifest through arcane ritual and hell fire. What is this? Has the world been flung into a darkness where horned devils step into the light? Well, perhaps nothing quite that malevolent, however there are a few days left of the Twisted Hunt where you can find a lot of what Blue and I are wearing, as well as some of the demonic décor Blue used to create this fiendish atmosphere for free. You just have to hunt them! The hunt ends on September 30th. I also picked up one of the group gifts at Pendulum to help accessorize my devilish appearance. The free Twisted Hunt prize by Sweet Revolutions really has to be seen to be truly appreciated. This “Damned Conjure Circle” pose/prop is being used as awesome demonic background imagery in my photo, however it has 4 poses included.

Last, but very far from least, I simply couldn’t resist this group gift at Pendulum. Did You Hear That?

Friday the 13th is the perfect day to go camping, right? Surely nothing sinister would happen… I can just hear the iconic “something bad is about to happen” music starting to play! I love a classic horror flick, so when Blue showed me these Camp Crystal Lake tees by ZFG (Zero F*cks Given) I had to share them with you; today being Friday the 13th is just the icing on the cake.

Horsing Around

We are closing in on mid-week and I think it’s time to take some down time, and maybe play a little HORSE. For this post I picked up the Beached Bunny Hunt 9 prize at Freda, and my handsome guy picked up the July group gift at R2A. I think we look great on the court in our red and black. I also picked up this cute pose for just 15 linden on the Marketplace. Keep reading for all the what, where, and how.
