A Lil Bit of Lace

Happy Saturday, Fabulouses!  I can’t tell you how excited I was to see the Women Only Hunt 3 started today.  Ripley and I dusted off his tracking harness, and hit the trail.  With the pupster’s talented nose, we uncovered two completely free gifts to share with our favorite readers.

Wrapped in Serenity

Our first stop was Petite Mort, where we searched around until we discovered the free hunt item, a coconut shell, tucked carefully away in the shop.  Hidden inside was this stunning, White Serene Lace dress.  A delicately detailed, translucent lace overlay rests on top of a solid white sleeveless frock.  It features a V-shaped back, a fitted bodice, and a skirt that falls to mid-thigh length.  Depending on how you accessorize your outfit, this beauty would be perfect for a casual outing or a night on the town.

Add Some Glitzz

Our second stop as ace detectives was the Glitzz Mainstore.  I have to be honest here…..maybe I should have tucked some extra Ripley snacks in my pocket before leaving to motivate a certain canine someone.  We spent quite a long time roaming up and down the aisles, hunting high and low before we finally located the tropical seed concealed in the shop.  I was almost ready to give up, but we persevered, and I’m so glad we did!  The free white and yellow Flower Sun Hat coordinated perfectly with my new dress, and provided just the right amount of glam and sun protection for our outing to the Isle of Love sim.  The head wear comes complete with built in resizer, so in no time at all, I was able to adjust the hat to fit perfectly over my hair.  Score for team Ripley!  The hat has a realistic woven texture, and is perfectly adorned with a trio of yellow roses and a touch of greenery for added flair.

Captivating Karin

Hello Fabulouses!  I hope your weekend is going well.  Ripley and I found a fantastic beach to spend our Saturday on.  With gulls calling over head, the crash of waves on the shore, and the nickers of wild horses grazing in the meadow nearby, it was a tranquil setting.

As the tide rolled in, and the sun sank low on the horizon, I snapped this photo to showcase the free Karin Love Camisk, which is one of the many free gifts generous designers are bestowing on the Fabulously Free in SL group.  The talented creator at PA Designe put together this sexy, barely there garment, which I’m sure would come in handy for Gorean role play, in addition to a day at the shore.  In a soft shade of mauve, this two piece outfit is sure to flatter any skin tone.  Its bandeau-style top, frayed edges, and daring cut will draw all eyes to your figure.  Ripley insisted I apply the alpha layer of my mesh body strategically so he didn’t have to be on active guard dog duty all day on the beach, and his suggestion worked like a charm.

An Island Never Cries

I am an island.  I’ve built walls…..

I Think it’s Time for a Ray of Sun Shine

With my downcast mood, I felt like I needed some bright colors and lighthearted flowers to brighten things up, so I donned the Aya sweater from Luziefee.  Another free group gift for members of Fabulously Free in SL, this open cardigan has an adorable tie at the top to keep you modestly covered up, while it offers a tantalizing glimpse of skin below.  Golden yellow black-eyed susans bring a welcome air of cheerfulness to my outfit.  The texture of the white yarn is quite realistic looking, and the long sleeves come in handy to ward off the chill approaching in the deepening twilight hours.

Life is Uncertain……..Eat Dessert First

Hello there, Fabulouses!  With warmer temperatures, I couldn’t resist stopping for a refreshingly delicious ice cream cone on my way home tonight.  When I scooped her up for a cuddle, this adorable pup decided to sneak a sample from my cone for herself.  The little rascal!

Vintage Vixen

Charlote, my pretty floral frock, is a group gift for VIP members from Furtacor. Add Some Glitter and Shine

To  accessorize my outfit, I tucked a pink rose behind my ear, and slipped on some chandelier-style earrings.  My Sparkle Rose was a bargain for only 30L at the Fukin Cute store on the Marketplace.  The package included a purple, a pink, and a white mesh rose.  I opted to wear just one, but you can add all three flowers if you wish.  With a bit of basic editing, I adjusted the position of the posey to fit just where I wanted.  My heart-shaped, dangling earrings from Elemental Earth Designs added more sparkle, and a playful touch of movement.  Versatile, texture change beads make this pair of earrings seem like a set of six in one for only 75L.

About the Puppy Eating Ice Cream… 

I’m hoping that a certain canine someone doesn’t get upset by my solo ice cream escapade tonight.  Back in his younger days, we used to stop at a local creamy stand on our way home from obedience class for the “Doggie Delight” special.  (I wasn’t above a little bribery now and then).  It must have worked, because we earned the “Most Improved” award at the end of the course.   To make up for stopping without him, I’ll take Ripley out for a cool treat this weekend, but until then, can we keep this just between us?

A Heart of Gold

A Spring Day at the Shore

Hello Fabulouses!  Ripley and I are enjoying our weekend get away to Maison de l’amitie!  We’ve been spending our days lazing on the beach, watching sailboats zigzag across the harbor, while seagulls circle overhead.  I could definitely get used to this!

I Like Vintage…..a Lot!

My worn and comfy vintage jeans capris today are a free gift for Third Life group members from the Red Room.  Although joining the Third Life group will set you back 10L, there are multiple gifts around the grid from a variety of designers for lucky group members, so it’s a worthwhile investment.  With a soft, faded denim that hugs every curve, rolled cuffs and a belted waistline, these pants are perfect for a casual day at the beach.  In addition to the gray-blue denim version, the capris also come with a texture change HUD for the fabric and belt, offering a range of possible combinations.  The gentle hue and frayed areas of the jeans complemented my white lace-trimmed Ivy cami from Pretty Please.  With a budget-friendly price tag of only 65L, this cute, feminine top is sure to become a summer time favorite.  I couldn’t resist scooping up the cami in several other pastel shades as well.  Together, these two vintage finds created the perfect outfit for a lovely spring day on the beach with my pal.

Leaving It All Behind

Happy Friday, Fabulouses!  After the hectic week I’ve had in RL, it’s time for a get away in SL.  I packed all the essentials (yes, Ripley, even your goodies!), and we loaded up the car with just a few pieces of luggage.  The small one on the left is packed to the brim with Ripley snacks, which made for a very happy pup, indeed.  We filled ‘er up, and headed over to Maison de l’amitie for the holiday weekend.

Uptown Girl

Hello Fabulouses!  Ripley and I decided to meet a friend for coffee at this shop in the City of Templemore.  With my companion running late, I had plenty of time to snap a photo of my latest outfit to share with you all.

Sleek and Elegant

My entire outfit today, with the exception of the boots and cell phone, are free gifts from Rowne.  The Alla Crepe Top and Xinyu Trousers brought to mind a sophisticated, uptown girl look (tune).  I like the high waist of the pants, and the short cropped top, which left one arm bare while the opposite was encased in a full-length sleeve.  I thought it made for an interesting visual contrast.  The pants emphasized my long, slender figure, and at first, I had a hard time finding footwear that would work with them.  My slink feet and shoes poked through far above the hemline of the trousers, and I couldn’t adjust where they attached on my legs.  Uh-oh…

An Uh-Oh Followed by a Sigh of Relief

After adjusting my hover height to be slightly above the ground, I dug down deep in my inventory, and found some old-style boots that I could adjust and slide down to the bottom of the cuffs of the trousers.  It worked like a charm, and I was quite pleased with the outcome. Unfortunately, when I went to include the landmarks for my post, I discovered that the boots in my full-body shot were no longer available.  I did, however, find an alternate pair from Blackburns (shown in the close up picture below) that worked just as well, and these were only 29L on the Marketplace!  Phew!

An Entire Outfit, But That’s Not All…

In addition to the pantsuit, Rowne also has the Jane Cat Eye Sunglasses, Bon Bon Earrings, and Buckett bag set out as free gifts for group members.  I felt they all coordinated beautifully, so I combined them in one look.  The end result:  classy sophistication!  Although the group has a 350L join fee, the numerous gifts available balance out the initial expense.
