No Goodbyes

It’s been a little over 7 years since I started blogging for Fab Free. Love Trill took a chance on an eager-to-learn wanna-be fashionista with no blogging experience and limited photography skills. I’m forever grateful she did. Not only did I learn new things, best of all it’s through this blog, Fabulously Free in SL, that I’ve made some of my most cherished personal connections. The kind that I hope against hope will last a lifetime. I’m lookin’ at you, my fellow bloggers, past and present. In a round about way, it’s even through blogging for Fab Free that I found a kind of love that I had not even imagined.

Needless to say, the last 7 years have meant a lot to me, more than heartfelt words, or poignant quotes could ever express. I want to say thank you also to those of you who read the blog regularly, and have taken a moment over the years to show appreciation for the hard work and dedication that goes in to a blog like Fab Free. After more than 15,000 blog posts, I feel it’s time for me to say farewell to blogging for Fabulously Free in SL and take time for new adventures. Thank you for everything, from the bottom of my heart.

No Goodbyes

For this, my last post, I do of course have some freebies and fabulous finds to share with you. I picked up the group gifts at the latest round of Cosmopolitan. There are two gifts this time, an upper body tattoo by AuricA, and a set of stunning eyes by Arte. I also of course picked up the Happy Weekend Sale item by Muniick again this week. Technicolor Rainbow

As much as I love winter, I have to admit this outfit has me daydreaming about warmer weather. Hello Fab Free’rs, I’m glad you’re here. For this post I’m really excited about the new group gift at MicRo, and Demicorn has out a group gift that I don’t know how I missed and can’t wait to share with you. Snowfall

I’ve always thought of the notion of a first snowfall as something magical and wonderous, though admittedly that’s partly due to having experienced so few in my lifetime. That said, there are quite a few free gifts waiting on the Christmas tree inside the Cosmopolitan Sales event, and these delicate snow flurries by Persefona are my favorite. For this look I also picked up the free Cosmo gifts by Limited Addiction, IDTTY, and ARTE. I also happen to be wearing a cute little sweater dress by Rebel Hope that you can find inexpensively on the Marketplace. Keep reading for all the details.

These pretty little snow flurries are an attachment by Persefona. You can get them for free at the Cosmo event by joining the event group and clicking the stockings on the Christmas tree just inside the entrance. The Cosmopolitan Sales event group is free to join. This wintery gift includes a resizer hud that lets you easily adjust the size of the snowy attachment.

Limited Addiction

My sassy cute knee-high socks and ankle boots are also free at Cosmo, courtesy of Limited Addiction. You’ll find them waiting on the Christmas tree with the many other free gifts. These sassy holiday themed shoes come with a texture change hud for the socks that lets you pick from a few holiday color combinations.

Most skins include a browless option which makes experimenting with different brow shapes and colors a lot easier and more fun. The brows I’m wearing are the free Cosmo gift by ARTE. I think they look sleek and quite natural. In this free gift you’ll find BOM layer eyebrows in brown, light brown, dark brown, blond, red, and a tint-able version. Also there are Omega, and Catwa appliers, and a brow shaper included.

Rebel Hope

Finally, this pretty sweater dress is a Marketplace find by Rebel Hope. It’s just 25 linden and includes a color change hud for the ties and metal bits. If you’re interested in a color other than red, there are several to choose from. Each color is just 25 linden on the Marketplace.

Hello there Fab Free’rs. Thank you so much for being here. I cannot even handle how close to Christmas we are! I’m also finding myself both excited and overwhelmed by all the giftiness (yes I know that’s not a word) around the grid. There are so many events and advents and hunts, it’s a lot! For this post I picked up free gifts from Mister Razzor, BONDI, and IDTTY at Access, and a fun Marketplace find by The Bold Llama. Keep reading for all the details!

Mister Razzor

I think it goes without saying that Mister Razzor is a favorite tattoo shop of mine. At the current round of Access, Mister Razzor has the cutest holiday face tattoo for free. It has pretty little snowflakes near your eyes, and says “let it go.” This tattoo comes in a BOM tattoo layer only. It also comes in white as well as black. You’ll need to join the free-to-join Access event group to get this and the many other free gifts. Just look for the blue gift boxes at each vendor booth.

BONDI

These unisex wire-frame glasses are the free Access group gift by BONDI at the Access event. The glasses have resize scripts, and include a color change hud with 4 preset choices for the frames and 4 the metal parts of the frames. The same hud also allows you to adjust the opacity of the lenses.

IDTTY

Also at Access, is this lovely matte lip-color by IDTTY. This lipstick shade is one of 4 subtle matte shades in the free “Real Love Collection” gift by IDTTY. This lipstick giftset comes in appliers for Catwa, Genus, and Lelutka heads only.

The Bold Llama

Lastly, I couldn’t resist this cute holiday top by The Bold Llama that I stumbled across on the Marketplace. This cute tank-top is just 25 linden, and if “cheeky” doesn’t suit you, you’ll find quite a few other choices like “Queen” and “Lit.” Each of these fun festive tops comes in quite a few sizes, and has an alpha layer so it can be worn by classic avatars.

Foxy November

When the temperature is perfect, the sun is shining, and the air is crisp and cool I can’t resist the allure of spending some time outdoors. It’s good for the psyche. Speaking of goodness, it doesn’t hurt to look good while you’re taking a moment to feel good. Pink Cream Pie and Demicorn have lovely new group gifts out, and I can’t help but feel extra cute wearing them.

I felt like a cute quirky modern witch in this look I was able to put together with my finds. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Lovel has this cozy cropped hoodie for free with the SL Frees & Offers (SLF&O) group tag. The SLF&O group is free to join. I really like some of the details of this soft blue sweatshirt such as the lacing going up the sleeves. This top comes in the single baby blue color shown, and a version with the hood down instead of up like shown.

While I might not normally be a redhead, I found this pumpkin colored hairstyle by Firelight too cute to not share. I also think that the vibrant orange-red color is quite pretty, even if it’s not my usual. That said this pretty ponytail is also free as part of the Swank Pumpkin Hunt.
