Dynamic Duo

WOW… it’s the end of November… already! Winter is right around the corner. Of course, lot’s of us have already seen snow and cold temps so that corner is not far off.  With all this weather, I decided to do a one store indoors Hunt for the Blog today.

When I got the notice that LsR was doing a 15L in store Winter Hunt, I hollered at Aline, “Did you get this? Let’s go hunt, girl!” And we jumped right in! Cause great minds think alike! And we even ended up picking very similar outfits for some matchy matchy goodness.

I’m wearing the frilly little ‘Sexy Sannae’ dress. You’ll get a HUD to change the color of the ruffle on both the sleeves and the bodice. Be sure to wear your nice panties with this one, ladies cause it is a little cheeky. 😉

Aline picked out the ‘Sexy Yanika’ dress today. If you pick this one too, you’ll actually get three dresses for your 15L prize money. The dress comes in white, white with a polka dot print and a white lace pattern. Plus a HUD to change the color of the buttons.

Out of the Woods

Hello Fabulouses!  I hope your week is off to a wonderful start.  It might look like Ripley and I are feeling all dark and brooding, but actually we enjoyed a bright sunny day in RL.  We’re here to share a couple of Fabulous Finds with you that we think you’ll really enjoy.

I’m Feeling a Bit Sassy…

It must be this new free Black Dress that I picked up over at the Sass store.  With a plunging neckline and two peek-a-boo slits in the skirt, it certainly is a flirty little number.  I love the way this frock hugs your curves and leaves your back tantalizingly bare.  You can’t really see them from my photo, but there are 3 little buttons that gleam in the light which add visual interest to the bodice.  The black and gray striped skirt section and over all dark color scheme made me think of a spooky, mysterious vibe, so Ripley and I decided to visit an eerie forest for our photo.  Although the weather might be getting more nippy outside, fortunately in SL, I don’t need to worry about catching a chill in this saucy mini dress. To pick up a copy for your SL wardrobe, you need to be a member of the Sass group, and there is a small 10 Linden dollar join fee, but I think this dress is well worth the investment!

These Boots

As much as I love my new dress, I *adore* the Petra Boots from Lindy Modern and Retro Shoes that I am wearing!  With a high heel design, detailed lacing and silver accents, these boots are great to wear with a dressier outfit, but also flexible enough to coordinate with a more casual style.  The white stitching really pops against the black leather background.  The folder includes versions for classic avatars (with a shoe base, alpha layer and a handy resizer for the perfect fit) as well as for Maitreya and Slink Hourglass.  All I had to do to add this versatile pair of footwear to my closet was to locate the collection of pillar candles hidden in the shop (and by *I*, I meant Ripley), pay the teensy 1L price and scurry home to try them on.  The Dark and Brooding Hunt runs until September 30th and features a gothic, vampire theme, which is perfect for the upcoming Halloween holiday.

Here I Am Without You

Hello again! I’m going for a nice stroll and enjoying the always perfect SL weather. What’s that? You don’t take walks in heels and a ballgown? You see, I was looking for a ballroom but the rest of the sim is so pretty that I got distracted and here I am instead. But if I happen to make it to the ballroom eventually, well then I’ll be dressed appropriately.

Dance the night away

You’ll be sure to find a dance partner (or a walking partner?) in this stunning gown. I love the high slit, sexy neckline, and crisscrossed back. They add just the right amount of interest without giving away the farm, as the saying goes. The Gala Dress is a free group gift from MH Unique Design and the group is free to join. Date Night Ready!

Happy Saturday, Fabulous Readers!  I have lots of things to get accomplished in RL today, but wanted to publish a quick post that features this sweet black lacy concoction. The Iris Dress is just perfect for a Saturday night date, and it’s free!

Happy Saturday, Fabulous Readers!  I spent the majority of the day running errands in RL, and decided to relax in this forest glade with Ripley once I got back home.  It felt good to just take a breather!

The Color Red Makes Me Smile

In my last post, I shared a shiny red manicure available at the De’Fient Unicorn cart at the Wash.  While I was there, I couldn’t help but admire this sweet Val Dress, so I picked it up for just 10L.  With satiny fabric, and see through black lace side panels, this frock has plenty of sex appeal while keeping you covered in all the right places.  It boasts a long front zipper, a turned down collar, and a hemline that reaches nearly to mid-thigh length.  I really like the sheen of the main texture.  With sizes for classic avatars as well as popular mesh body versions, this versatile outfit will fit most avatars.  If red is not your color, you could also select deep green, a rusty brown, magenta or purple using the texture change HUD.  It’s like getting five dresses in one!

If You Listen Carefully…

… the silence is beautiful.  It’s been a long time since I was in a snowstorm, but I still remember the peace and tranquility after Mother Nature blanketed the world in white.  Sounds were muffled, and the landscape was so incredibly beautiful.  Nowadays, I need to get my snow fix on Second Life.  Tonight, the pupster and I traveled to Rayne and PetitChat for a dose of winter wonderland.  Isn’t the scene just lovely?

Feeling Lucky?

My sweet dress is a Lucky Board prize at Lunaria available to members of the Lunaria group.  Since the group is free to join, the only investment I had to make was a bit of time waiting for that magical “K” to appear on the board.  It took a couple of days of trying off and on, but this little number was well worth the wait!  With long sleeves, a charcoal colored bodice, a gray skirt, and cuffs, this frock kept me warm, but also offered stylish touches as well, such as the tree print on the bodice and pale embroidery on the cuffs and hemline.  I really like the more muted color scheme of this outfit.  With sizes for classic avatars as well as several mesh bodies, this free lucky board prize is sure to please.

Slip Into a Little Red Dress

Dressed Like a Day Dream

Hello there, Wonderful Readers!  You may have noticed the virtual flurry of posts lately about all the new presents for members of the in-world Fab Free Group, such as Edi’s post here, Love’s post here, Pru’s post here, and Loki’s post here.  If you haven’t, please do check them out!  The generosity of SL designers never ceases to amaze me!  There are so many gifties just for Fabulously Free in SL Group members, and it’s completely free to join.

This morning, after I refilled my coffee cup, I returned to find Ripley with his front paws perched up on my chair staring intently at the screen.  His tail was wagging briskly, and I knew my hound with a nose for fashion was on the trail of a mid-week Fabulous Find to share with you.  I’m a huge fan of Kira Paderborn and Jolene Carami over at Entice (as you could probably tell from my posts here and here).  When Ripley nudged the announcement from Love about a new, free gift from Entice, I scurried over to the Flawless sim to scoop it up.

I’ve Got a Blank Space

Featuring a deep magenta texture with subtle shimmers of colored sequins, the free, sleeveless Blank Space dress is loosely fitted and chic.  A simple black belt, worn low on the waist line, accents the deep shade of the dress beautifully.  The package includes standard mesh, plus an alpha layer for classic avatars, but also fits my Maitreya mesh body.  To pick up Blank Space for yourself, simply navigate to the Entice store, cross the footbridge, and head to the group gift section in the back.  Swap over to your Fabulously Free in SL group tag, and tap the board.  Ta da!

Finishing Touches

An elegant garnet Princess Solitaire necklace and earring set from Cae (a 75L gacha prize) echoed the rich tone of my new dress.  I splurged and picked up the matching Blank Space heels from Entice for 150L on the Marketplace to complete my look.  Perfectly coordinated, and dressed like a day dream, I accompanied Ripley to the Paramour Sim (thanks for the tip, Loki!) to snap a few photographs and look for little kittens to rescue.
