Feeling Cute

Hello! Today I will show you gifts from the FabFree Fallen Leaves and Frost Hunt and the latest round of Cosmopolitan. All of the recent events with gifts and great sales have been keeping me busy. I am always awed by the skills and generosity  of SL’s creators. I am always thankful for gifts. Another Great FabFree Hunt

Glitterati by Sapphire and Stunner Originals are only two of he many stores participating in the FabFree Fallen Leaves and Frost Hunt.

Not So Tiny Dancer

I just love playing dress up in Second Life! Thanks to a few free gifts celebrating Uber’s 8th Anniversary Round I was able to fulfill my dream of being a prima ballerina! I think the movie, White Nights, starring Mikhail Baryshnikov and Gregory Hines started that seed.

And then I watched Mao’s Last Dancer. It’s an excellent film based on the memoirs of Li Cunxin, recounting his journey from a young, impoverished village boy destined to labor in the fields of China to a world-famous professional dancer. Even if you’re not a fan of ballet it’s a great story. Anywhoo, that’s why I’m playing ballerina today.

Rock Around the Clock Tonight!

As the saying goes, everything old is new again.  Just look at me, I am ready to go to the sock hop with this cute ’50s style poodle skirt for free on the marketplace from Norma Underwood.  The skirt itself is unrigged, so you can position the skirt to fit your avatar better.  It also comes with a BOM layer that can be used for an underskirt.  The skirt was originally designed for classic avatars, but with a little adjusting, it can work on mesh bodies as well.

I needed the perfect vintage sweater to finish off the look, so dug through my inventory and put on the Ellen Sweater from Quinnty’s Aline first blogged about in this post. The cute, argyle pattern really made the outfit complete.

Days Before the Snow

It hasn’t started to snow in New York City yet; but I know with the chill in the air, that time is coming soon.  I am enjoying the last days of fall in the Second Life as well.  I found this cute Evil Bunny tank top by Corvus for free on the marketplace.  It will be great for summer, but I couldn’t wait to try it on now.  I wanted to complete the outfit with a nice pair of gothy pants, and luckily I stumbled on the G-pants by Voice while exploring.  The pants are a free group gift and the group is free to join.   The pants also come with a HUD so you can choose from various colors and textures.  Voice also has some other nice gifts, so you should get them while they are still available.

I only have eyes for you, dear….

Today I hunted the Marketplace for some cute things to share. I almost always stumble upon cool things I love and end up using forever. Like the rug from malone, L$1 on the mp, totally worth it with 10 (YES 10) cool textures! I have been a huge fan of this shop and their gifts for the MP for almost a year now. I use them all the time and totally love the newest creation feature here. This texture is my new favorite and is perfect for this gloomy spring we are all having by adding a POP of color.

Finding the perfect pose can be hard for a lot of people, I know that I often purchase poses and I find myself regretting it, however, this is not the case today! This pose from DePERLA is a FREE GIFT from the shop to you straight on the MP! There is no doubt what my avi is feeling this moment captured in time.

It’s all about the eyes, and with FREE mesh eyes available in blue and brown there is no going wrong here. Like most eyes, they are unisex and are again from the MP this FREE GIFT is given to you by MARIARA the only negative about them is that you may need to rotate the eyes when you wear them, but once you get them placed correctly you’ll sparkle like a diamond in the sun!

Wednesday Night

Is it Friday yet? No…? I didn’t realize how much I enjoyed heading out of the house until we all got quarantined. I used to wait eagerly for Friday and the clubs or a nice dinner out or a bar for some live music. Now… every night is Wednesday night. Better times are coming and Fridays will be restored to their former glory.

Staying in

Since we are staying home we made as well enjoy it with the Stay at Home Club. I didn’t even have to leave the virtual house to pickup this new free outfit. Setting A Formal Winter Scene

No need to fight the lag for a romantic night of dancing!  Simply head to The Second Life Marketplace and pick up Emma’s Winter Ballroom Skybox by Emma’s @ Blue Moose!  I took this photo inside the beautiful skybox and this is just one little corner.  There is a chandelier in the center that you can turn on and off, and it is actually 20 X 20, so you’ll have plenty of dancing room.  Rez a little snow and some sparkle lights and you’ll be set!  Don’t even worry about the prims… it has a land impact of 4!  The price?  FREE!
