Good morning to you. I’m having a bit of a lazy SL morning, TPing around to see what’s what and hitting some events. Nothing strange there. The only strange thing might be how I ended up in this alley sans pants. But I mean, c’mon, it’s SL, that’s not even anything to sneeze at.

No Pant

Most of what I did manage to wear came from the Cosmopolitan Event. There are always two free group gifts there in the landing area and I like to pop in from time to time to see what’s new. Right now, one of them is a great free gift by Limited Addiction. It includes the arm bands, bracelets, and panties that you see me wearing here, plus a really cute top that I opted not to wear. You’ll just need to join the free Cosmopolitan group and click the vendors to get the free gifts.

I also enjoyed a little wander around Midnight Order. The observant reader will recall that Aline told us about this event and that there are free gifts to be had. A free group join to the Second Life Syndicate group is required, and from there it’s just a leisurely stroll about the place clicking on boxes. One of said boxes contains this fab cropped top that I’ve got on. It’s from Gorsimi and there are three versions of it included for these sizes:

Feeling Cute

I am always awed by the skills and generosity  of SL’s creators. I am always thankful for gifts. Happy Friday FabFree! I’m super excited for another weekend. To celebrate I’ve…gotten dressed! And naturally when I get dressed there are some freebies and bargains to be had!

A new round of Cosmopolitan started on April 4th, so I, being the responsible freebie blogger that I am, scampered over to see if there were new freebies out. If you’re not familiar with this event, there are always two easels right when you walk in on either side of the doors that hold a freebie each. All you have to do is join the free event group and snatch up each free gift. This round, one of the free gifts is this fantastic skirt. It’s seriously so well made and versatile. There is a HUD of colors that lets you change the skirt, belt, details, and pockets all independently of each other and sizes for:

I’m on Cloud Nine

I skipped this little gift at first. I thought it was “just furniture” and I’m loaded down with furniture already. Then I saw what it actually is… a wearable cloud! Your own personal little fluffy cloud to glide around on!  Needless to say, I’ve been floating everywhere since I picked it up.  Now, I don’t think MoonRabbit meant for this to be a vehicle, per se. BUT… you can glide along as you walk since the cloud is a wearable. There are four cute poses in the cloud chair and I can’t decide which one I like best!

In a Mood

It’s not always easy to find good free or almost free things for the men of Second Life. Sometimes, I skip entire events because I just know there’s nothing there for me. I very glad I didn’t skip this round of Cosmopolitan.

Hats off

Or hats on… this is the “Weatherman” from Bondi and it’s the free gift at Cosmopolitan. The hat is technically ‘unisex’ but don’t take this from me. The hat is completely resizable and repositionable so you can get the perfect fit. Just join the Cosmopolitan free group and pick up your gifts.

On the Hunt

In my never ending hunt for men’s fashion, I scour the Hunts each month and this month has been productive. I stumbled on the ‘Red Shoe Diaries’ “Little Black Book Hunt and it has not one but two tracks just for the men. One track, the one I’m showing prizes from, has a 1L price tag for each gift and the second track is 25L per prize.

First up is the “Cole” shirt from The Sissy Bar. As with everything I’ve seen from this designer, Cole is well made and subtly textured. Well worth the 1L and the time hunting.

Classic Jeans

Next up on the RSD/LBB Hunt are the “Bridgeport Jeans” from Horr Menswear. I really am impressed with these jeans. Jeans are such a staple of our wardrobe, it can be easy to toss out subpar pairs and hope no one notices. Horr Menswear has done just the opposite: they’ve made a first rate pair of jeans. Every detail is perfect and the texture couldn’t be better. And it’s still just 1L and a little hunting.

The longest day has just begun

Hi there! I went shopping at Cosmopolitan and found presents! And I paired them with a pretty FabFree gift to show off a whole bunch of free! Nothing wrong with that. And then I decided to hang out by some stairs. That’s totally logical, right? And of course I threw in a nonsensical title and a bunch of sentence fragments. So pretty much nothing new for me. I’m sure that the run on sentences will be along shortly, don’t you worry!

Everything Cosmopolitan 

After the billions of free gifts at the last round of Cosmopolitan, I wasn’t expecting anything when I heading over to do some light window shopping and demoing. But I was pleasantly surprised! There is an easel on either side of the door and each displays a free group gift. You’ll need to join the free group (there’s a group joiner right under each gift) to get them. On one side is this lovely free dress from Miimikri. I love the lace detail on the top and the pretty ruffles. It comes in this pretty soft color and in sizes for Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, and Slink Physique. The gift on the other side is a pack of free poses from Nina Rosario! I love me some poses and this pack of five of them is really nice.

Shiny Things

Every time I peruse the FabFree group gift listing I’m amazed by all of the awesome things on it. Today I picked up this pretty free jewelry set from Beloved Jewelry. It includes the necklace as well as earrings. You can only see a little bit of one of the earrings peaking out of my hair, but it’s literally the bottom of the necklace (the biggest circle and the tassel) in earring form. Have you noticed that I have this habit of blogging events on their last day? I don’t know what that’s about. I guess I just feel like I need one last hurrah with the fabulous gifts before it’s over or something. So today I bring you a couple more Cosmopolitan gifts. But wait, there’s more! Goodbye Cosmopolitan

The current round of Cosmopolitan ends today, so this is the last chance to pick up all of those awesome freebies. There is a group joiner at the door, and the group is required to get all of the gifts. But of course the group is free to join so that’s no big deal. I’m wearing 2 more of the gifts here:

• The necklace by adorsy is rigged, which I love, although only for Maitreya. It’s a super cute style that I can see myself wearing a lot.
• My outfit is the gift from EB. I know that I’m not showing all of the skirt but it’s tight, short, and kinda ombres at the bottom to the same pink as the top. I love how high the waist of the skirt is – it almost looks like a dress from the back but then the front shows a little skin in between. The skirt and top are separate pieces and each comes sized for Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique.

Hello Chain

My earrings are the newest free group gift from Chain. You’ve really gotta go pick them up, they are even prettier in-world. The detail is just amazing. It also comes with a HUD to change them to 15 different metal colors. Chain’s group is 100L to join and the wall of group gifts is now up to 10, plus this new one. What a bargain.
