Barefoot On The Grass

I feel like this photograph wants to tell a story, but really the new free group gift from Belle Epoque just made me want to walk barefoot through a field. So I went to the first pretty sim that came to mind and here we are.

Among The Fields Of Gold

By now you’ve heard about the passing of Palomma Casanova, maybe from Aline’s post here. I did not know her personally or ever speak to her, to my recollection. I can’t claim any personal grief or loss. But that isn’t to say that I’m not affected because really all of SL is affected. The Free Dove was an institution in Second Life for over 18 years. It was always around as a place to send new players or even veterans that needed to spruce up their avatars for free. In that way, The Free Dove and FabFree had the same mission. It was strange shopping at The Free Dove for this post, knowing that it’s creator is no longer with us and that it might be the last time I’m there before the doors close for good.

I picked up a few items and went to a pretty sim of sunflowers that I found on Palomma’s profile picks, that it appears she owned as well. The free items that I’m wearing from The Free Dove are:

• Free sweater dress by Satus Inc in sizes for Belleza (Freya, Isis, Venus), Maitreya, Slink (Hourglass and Physique), TMP, and fitmesh sizes XS-XL
• Free hair by Faga with a style HUD including all the colors

When You Walk My Way

Hi there. Just popping in to show you this cute free outfit that I found at Look At Me. The fun high waisted skirt and cropped sweater can be worn separately and would be so easy to mix into other outfits.  There is a HUD for other color options included, and most of the others are rather Christmas-y. However, I thought this blue pattern was just perfect for running some late winter errands, provided you don’t need to be outside for too long.

Kiss Me Under The Mistletoe

Hopefully you’ve heard about the fantastic-ness that is the free group gift extravaganza by Lelutka and friends. The heads are an unbelievably generous free gift, but I’d be remiss if I let that over shine all of the other amazing things that are also being given away for free as part of the event. You can read all about what’s going on here, and I’ve also found this page over on seraphim to be super helpful because it shows pictures of everything that’s on offer.

So Much More

An easily overlooked perk of all of these group gifts by all of these amazing creators, is that all of their groups are free to join till it ends on December 30th, even the ones that normally have a cost to join. There are so many normally paid groups that are free right now! It’s the perfect opportunity to jump into these groups while the jumping’s good.

But I digress. The first thing I did, besides grabbing the heads, was tp hastily to Deetalez.   Deetalez makes the most gorgeous skins and they were my go to for a long time, but y’all know I can’t stick to just one skin. Still they are completely lovely and a free skin by Deetalez is not something to miss. Snow has the prettiest rosy cheeks and nose and perfect lips, like I’ve just come in from the cold. It comes in three shades with various options.

Unrelatedly, Lilleth Mills has their group set to free temporarily. There will be a cost to join after December 31st. Lucky Board Love

In the last few months, I have been too impatient to play lucky boards. I think that happens when you’ve been on SL for a few years. Eventually, you say… “meh, I’m too lazy to camp…” However, sometimes it is SO worth it, so I’ve been trying to play all the boards I’ve missed lately. I keep a little folder of LMs to hop to, hoping my letter will show up. I got some luck at Look At Me and Lybra, and I’ll show you what I won today from their great lucky boards.
