With a Little Luck

There are those days when you feel incredibly lucky. It’s that feeling you get when you log in and get a nice prize from the Mania Board you slapped. I had one of those days last week. I made my rounds to slap MM boards. It’s fun to get a package from them. What could be better than absolutely free things? Maybe more free things???

Just the Facts

I wandered over to LSR last week and once there I joined the store group at a cost of $99L. I joined because there are lots of benefits for group members. When you explore LSR look for the back wall with five group gifts, 30 lucky letters, and close by are four Mini Mania boards.. Near the Mania boards are four dollarbie items. And you’ll find a few gifts for non-store groups.

I won this darling outfit, Kissa, from one of the mania boards. Though the top and skirt are tiny they do cover all of your bits. It’s a great outfit for those hot, sweltering days of summer. The color is nude.

Meva’s free Shop & Hop gift, the Valentines necklace is perfect for accessorizing this cute number. Because a HUD with a generous number of textures is included I was able to match the studs on the waistband of the skirt. Score!

Let me set the (not so hypothetical) scene – it’s the week before Valentine’s Day. You’re doing what you do on the grid…shopping, hanging with friends, whatever the case may be; just doing your thing. Weekend Special

Hi There Bud!




I hope your new year is treating you kindly. I have had one minor disaster after another since January 1st! But I’m still kicking in spite of wanting to kick something or someone. Let me give you an example. I somehow locked my cell phone and couldn’t remember my pin, I drove to the local cell phone provider’s store. I explained to the chick at the counter what had happened. Her response was “You need to call Samsung.” This was followed by me exclaiming loudly, “What part of this do you not understand? I can’t use my phone at all now.” And so it went until her co-worker told her to call Samsung on the landline and let me talk to someone. Thank you for having someone with a brain that works cell phone carrier.

Supa-Sexy at a Great Price!

I can always count on something daring or delectable from Telsiope’s Couture. I quickly became a fan after learning about the store in a FabFree hunt. The latest free FabFree group gift is the Doro outfit. It reminded me of a really cool biker chick look. The revealing top and tight pants fit me like a glove. It might be a wee bit too chilly to ride a bike while wearing Doro. I don’t care because I look super fabulous in it and so will you! Doro is sized for: Belleza Freya, Maitreya, SLink Hourglass, and Legacy. Breaking news from the store: Sitlan placed a “booty win” on the third floor. Bring or teleport four of your friends with you and have a seat to get the “booty”; which is currently the Alice dress.

A couple of days ago I wandered over to Pure Poison and joined the store group. It is free to join for now, There are oodles of group gifts for you to grab. It’s another one of the long-lived stores in SL that has evolved over the years. Once you join the Pure Poison group you can pick up all of the group gifts. Cozy Up

Hey There, FabFam!  I know, I know, I disappeared yet again… I have a good excuse. Just as I was getting back on the routine of blogging… I got the flu! I was pretty sure I was dying or at least I wanted to die. Of course, I had to share it with the poor husband. So there was much plague on my household. I have survived but the coughing is still killin’ me. Bleh… anyway

SL has welcomed me back with one of my favorite events: The Arcade!  And there are several interestig machines this round like this cozy winter cowboy set from Meva. This is the Ashton outfit in beige. It also comes in black, brown and white. I wasn’t lucky enough to pull the beige version of the comfy pullover so you get to see the white version. I love the shearling along the vest’s collar and just the overall western feel to the set. And at 75L per play it goes easy on the wallet.

Snow Day

It was snowing in RL so I was inspired to create a snow day post.

Sweater Weather

It’s sweater weather, so cold and windy right now where I live.  No way would I be wearing this cute jean skirt from ADD in RL, but thank goodness it can be any weather you want in SL.  For this post I imagine it’s just a bit under 70 which would be perfect for a little sweater and boots but not to too cold for short skirt.

You can find this adorable skirt from ADD as one of the group gifts and only 20L to join the group.  The sweater from Zoom was lost in my inventory until a search for sweaters revealed it (amazing how that works LOL).

A Fragile Line

I’m being all artsy in my picture today, which is something that I try to avoid when I blog here because I want to make sure you get a good look at the things that I’m showing. In this case though, my vibe totally shows off the things that I want to tell you about and I just love that. What are they? We’ll I’m glad that you asked…

Uber Style

As you may or may not already know, the Uber event is having an anniversary. You’ll go to the mainstores of all of the designers and that’s where the free gifts are. Of course you’ll need a list of what stores to visit and would you believe that Aline MADE one for us to use – you can find her handy dandy list as well as full Uber details here. From Uber I’m wearing:

• The free gift hair from no.match. OMG how cool is this hair? If you like to take pictures this one is definitely for you. It’s free when you click on the brown gift box at the no.match mainstore and includes everything that you need – various rigged and unrigged versions, multiple HUDS with colors to pick from, and even hair bases. Serendipity

One of my favorite things about aaaaall of the events in SL, is finding new-to-me stores and going there to check out their freebies and other items in store. That’s how I came across Serendipity. Here you’ll find lots of pose and some other sweet little accessories as well, but mostly poses. The particular pose that I’m using today is from the Elodie set, which is free with a click, no group join required.
