Yes, yes I know… Valentine’s day has passed, so what’s up with all the pink and red?  We have been so lucky the last two weeks to be drowning in gorgeous group gifts, that I’m going to be tossing hearts at you for the next little while!  This cool outfit is in celebration of all your best girls, and so I think it’s one of those looks you’ll be wearing beyond the confines of love day!

Don’t Mess With Miss

Miss Chelsea recently put out a new group gift, and I am super in love with it.  It’s this awesome pair of tights and cropped sweatshirt combo (yep, the mesh underneath comes with too!).  You can look like you’re planning on working out, or kicking butt, even if you’re just about to crack open a bag of chips and Netflix it up with your friends.  The best part about this look is the different sayings that come plastered across the sweatshirt – four to choose from.  Mine says “Support your local girl gang”, but there’s also “Bride Squad”, “Nasty Woman” and “All the Single Ladies”.  You can even change the colour of the mesh underneath to suit your mood.   Nice!  To get it, all you have to do is join the Miss Chelsea group for 100L.  There are a bunch of other group gifts on their counter too while you’re at it.

Came for the Rides, Stayed for the Churros

Hi hi, have you ever been to an amusement park in Second Life? There’s been so many through the years, some of them are still around, some are long gone, but they can be pretty fun places, if not great places for pictures. Even this one, with it’s ghosts and many other spooky things.

I dropped by the other day by Gabriel and stumbled into a lot of goodies. There’s a whole section of 1L and 49L items, group gifts and free for everyone gifts. You will even see some little signs by some of the vendors where you can pick up some free shoes. A lot of what you will find is for male avatars, yet there are also accessories for everyone along with some unisex and female clothing items.

 

For other things you’ll see in this post, Maru Kado also has a lot of gifts (you will need to join their group for free to pick up most), from fun accessories to a selection of old booths for past editions of Japonica, one of which i’m using as a backdrop, tho of course they can be handy for many things more. And there’s also a hair from bonbon. You can pick it up for free if you belong to the group ( cost: 99L). It comes with a ton of colors and  both with the koala headband and without.

About the jackets:

You’ll see three different tops/jackets you can pick up for free at Gabriel, there’s no group join required. The three of them come in versions for both male and female avatars. Two of them come with swords as an accessory

Fab Free Designer of the Week – BonBon

Hello hello Fabulous Fab Free’rs! It’s been time for a “Designer of the Week” style post for a minute now, so for today I’m happy to share with you BonBon. First, I want to point out that the grounds surrounding the BonBon main location are just beautiful. Definitely take a little time when you’re there to look around a bit. That said, BonBon is a cute little shop which mostly sells female hairstyles. The style of BonBon is very doll-like and cute, the term kawaii definitely comes to mind although there are plenty of hairstyles that could fit any look.

Along with the feminine hairstyles, you’ll find a few makeup items, and some equally doll-like clothing and accessories in gacha machines. Inside the entrance you’ll see the “circulation desk” as I call it, where you can access all of BonBon’s social media and the store group. Right now there are quite a few BonBon group gifts available, they are conveniently lined up on a shelf above the desk. You’ll also notice some of the gifts have a heart above them. One of those gifts is the current Fabulously Free in SL group gift, which you’ll likely recall seeing this super cute style in Aline’s post “Stay Safe.” There is also a free gift that is available exclusively on the Marketplace. Aline also showed us that gift in her pose “I Sparkle I Shine.” In addition to the gifts being displayed above the desk, the most recent of the gifts along with the Fabulously Free in SL gift are also available on the wall opposite the desk. To get the Fab Free group gift you will need the Fabulously Free in SL group tag. The Fab Free group is always free to join. For the BonBon group gifts, you’ll need to join the BonBon store group which does have a one-time join fee of 99 linden. Which when you consider the number of available group gifts, is still a pretty great deal. Happy Shopping Fab Free!

I won’t bore you with my regular ramblings about the lack of warmth in RL, or the fact that I’m still trudging through slush on the daily.  Instead, I’ll just talk about the importance of water safety!  Make sure you’ve got a cute lifeguard keeping an eye on  you at all times, because ain’t nobody got time for no drowning!  What?  It’s true!

Upcycling is so Hot Right Now

You may have heard of the shop Upcycled before if you’re a freebie hunter like we are here on Fab Free!  They have a little inworld shop now where every item is completely free, from clothes all the way down to flowers, furniture and food.  I grabbed my cute little applier bikini and jean shorts there, as well as the lifeguard chair I’m sitting on!  You’ll find lots of great items to decorate with, so give it a little peek!  My clothes come with an Omega applier for easy wearing purposes!
