Sometimes I feel like I’m the dog on this shirt.   This is fine!  Yes!  Allllllll good….. But then I realise that looking on the bright side isn’t necessarily always a bad thing.  At least, it gets me through a lot.  What about you?  Have you felt this way at all since last March?  At least we can poke a bit of fun at it all, now and then.

High Pony

I always love a good crazy ponytail, and when it’s this bold and brash, it makes me even happier.  It’s the latest group gift from Love, and it kinda puts a smile on my face.  To get it, you’ll have to join the group for 50L, but there are quite a few group gifts there (even some fun clothing and more hair).  You’ll also find a matching hairbase to go with it, which is a nice added touch.  It comes in a full fatpack of colours, and you can switch the side of the ponytail with the style HUD.  Yay!

Days Before the Snow

It hasn’t started to snow in New York City yet; but I know with the chill in the air, that time is coming soon.  I am enjoying the last days of fall in the Second Life as well.  I found this cute Evil Bunny tank top by Corvus for free on the marketplace.  It will be great for summer, but I couldn’t wait to try it on now.  I wanted to complete the outfit with a nice pair of gothy pants, and luckily I stumbled on the G-pants by Voice while exploring.  The pants are a free group gift and the group is free to join.   The pants also come with a HUD so you can choose from various colors and textures.  Voice also has some other nice gifts, so you should get them while they are still available.

As we seem to be rapidly approaching my favorite holiday I was excited to see the new group gift at Caboodle. The Caboodle group gift is a short nun’s habit, which lends itself perfectly to creating a creepy demonic possession look. Inspired by the idea I added the new group gift tattoo by Letis, the Pumpkin Hunt gift by Blackstone at Swank, and some inexpensive Marketplace finds from Corvus, Mary, R.A.D. and Glow Up. I think this look would fit right in at just about any haunted house. Time to get terrifying!

Caboodle

Truly this nun’s habit group gift at Caboodle was the inspiration for creating my demonic nun look just in time for Halloween. The Caboodle group has a join fee of 100 linden. The habit can be repositioned, and sized. I wore it with a simple hair-base. Also, don’t forget to pick up the previous group gifts still available at Caboodle.

Letis

Letis put out this perfect-for-Halloween unisex spiderweb upper body tattoo as their latest group gift. The Letis group is free to join, so don’t miss out on this very well done tattoo.

I mentioned the Pumpkin Hunt happening at Swank in my recent post “Let Me Show You the Way.” The dress and horns I used for this look are from the Pumpkin Hunt gift by Blackstone. This gift includes a full look with a dress, horns, and a matching devil tail (not shown), as well as a HUD with several colors for the dress. You can pick this gift up for free at Swank. Marketplace Finds

The gifts from Caboodle and Letis were a good start for this scary nun I’d imagined, the Marketplace was helpful for much of the rest.

Corvus – No possessed being would be complete without darkened circles around the eyes. I picked up the Corvus Demon Eyeshadow BOM layer for 30 linden on the Marketplace.

Mary – I also found a Halloween gift by Mary from 2019 on the Marketplace. The little goth cross tattoo comes in an Omega applier and is 1 linden on the Marketplace.

Glow Up – For some added gore I picked up a little nose-bleed drip by Glow Up on the Marketplace for free. It comes in a BOM layer only.

R.A.D. – Finally, the bloody sewn-shut lips are a Marketplace dollarbie by R.A.D. This gory costume essential comes in BOM layers and an Omega applier.

Hello hello from Cloud 9! Well from a cloud anyway. haha I hope everyone is doing well. I’m excited to share with you this gorgeous Lucky Letter Board dress from Apple May Designs along with a beautiful group gift hairstyle from Opale. I took the photo from the back because I felt like the back of the dress and the back of the hairstyle were quite nice. I love the long understated black bow detail in the dress. I also thought the little wisps of hair in the back of this long hairstyle were a nice touch. Keep reading for the details on how to get each of these fabulous finds.

The Hair – The hairstyle Pru is wearing in the above photo is Sofa by Opale. There is a free group gift version of Sofa at Opale that includes 3 color versions. There is a blonde, a dark blonde, and a brunette color with the pretty pink and blue color fades. At this time the Opale group is free to join. The Leo hairstyle shown below is another free group gift currently available at Opale. I also saw two group gift headbands.

The Dress – I think this sweet slip of a dress by Apple May Designs is really pretty. There are two ways you can score this dress for free or very inexpensively. Apple May Designs group members can participate in the Lucky Letter boards. There are two, one for each of the colors shown in the ad below. If you don’t want to wait for your letter to pop up and have a few lindens to spare, AMD group members can also purchase this dress for just 49 linden. There are also previous AMD group-only specials available at that price, just be sure to wear your AMD group tag. There is a one time join fee of 25 linden if you are not already a group member.

I started out on the Watercolors in the Rain Hunt where all the hunt gifts were FREE and found the “Eye of Delusion” necklace below (the main center eye actually moves within the pendant) and knew I had to put together a look. It stirred something within me. A bit of the old goth child, perhaps… who grew up writing dark poetry. If you live deeply the idea is that you see the world in such a way that you understand things and do not need to fear death. Perhaps this Eye will give you more insight… personally I liked the look either way!

My next stop was the Fantasy Collective. Good ol’ Winston Churchill couldn’t have done better as far as preparation. Be sure join the group FREE and collect your Fantasy Collective Birthday gifts while there (hurry the event won’t last forever). I stopped by the Valentine E. Booth and nabbed this fabulous FREE Bang Bang Bullet Bracelet in Black. The resizer script makes it versatile enough to wear as I did… or as an armlet, headband, garter and more!

Though there were a ton of great goodies I am only showcasing a couple here for you. The other item I picked up for my dark and moody Gothic look this Sunday was American Beauty‘s Black Bralet Top. Again, a FREE gift at the Fantasy Collective and better yet, mesh in all the standard sizes.

My last stop was at Corvus. Long known for Gothic and vampire wear, I knew the store would not let me down for finishing off my morbid tastes this week. I managed to nab this caustically classic Black Combat Shorts for only 60L and they are mesh in all the standard sizes. A fabulous finale to round out my outfit.

Channeling Angels In The New Age Now

Oooo another quickie from me! Argrace has sent out a new welcome gift through their Susbcriber Group! If you are already a member you will have got the update automatically so check your inventory.. if you haven’t got it then skip over to the store and slap the group joiner on the desk. The gifts are also on the desk, touch the boxes to recieve them once you have joined the subscriber. One is a unisex version of the hair I am wearing called Minato and the female version called Sakura. The only real difference between the two is that Sakura has the little colour change hairclip on the side! The Unisex version does not have this so that makes it suitable for guys.. it is a fatpack of colours so you will have lots of choice!

Dark and Beautiful…

Good Morning all you Fabulous people…

This week I wanted to get The White Armory Group Gift up on the blog EARLY… I got a few messages saying that they didn’t read my blog in time and I was sad that I had let you people down last week… *hangs head in shame*

but yeah.. This week *HERE I AM* baby!!! woot woot…

I snagged the dress and thought “Okay, this is dark and beautiful at the same time, how can I accessorize this?”  Well, with a Huge Thanks to Snow FrostWych (of ~*[By*Snow]*~, I found this amazing KMADD subscriber gift, which supplied me with the hair, eyes and eye lashes for my look.   Then, another one of my lifelines, Laura Auggers, hooked me up with this gorgeous skin by !BaaaH!.  The Earrings are by Luminesse, yet another one of those amazing designers @ The Wash Biannual Cart Sale…. The knee high mesh boots are also a product from the Cart Sale, They are being sold by Amour Fashions. I also ran over to GENRE event and found this necklace to match the look, It is by Krystal.  I bought the makeup from Corvus on the Marketplace and WHAM, BAM, ALLAKAZAM!!

I dug through the Second Life Destinations Guide and found ChouChou  (This is apparently a Japanese music group, who have brought to us some extremely pretty regions on their sim.  They are called “Memento Mori,” “Islamey” and “The Babel.” Oh,  Make sure to turn on your media, snag the cinematic HUD they give away there and expore 😉
