Break Out the Sweaters

Hi there, Fabulous Readers!  The other day in my post here, I shared a pretty floral dress that I picked up as a hunt prize over at The Free Dove.  While I was searching high and low for the hunt object, this cute sweater caught my eye.  I don’t know about where you are in the world, but the days around me are getting a bit on the chilly side, so I was happy to add a cozy item to my wardrobe (even if it is just in SL).

It’s Getting to Be Sweater Weather

I’ve been avoiding it as long as I could, but it is definitely time to start dressing for the season.  Baby Monkey has you covered if you are looking to expand your fall collection, and best of all, their gift is completely free for members of The Free Dove group (which is free to join).  The Striped Sweater will keep you toasty warm with its mock turtleneck, long sleeves, and generous length.  I love how it is not too bulky and still shows off your curves.  If blue is not your cup of tea, you can change the look with 7 other knitted textures using the included HUD.  Although I chose not to wear them for my picture, the folder also includes striped leggings, a suede mini, and Guilia boots, so you will have a complete outfit (including footwear) – all for a grand total of zero lindens!

Wishing for Winter

It’s the time of year in my world physical and virtual that I start to wish for snow. Perhaps because I almost never get to experience temperatures cold enough for snow where I live, I find that I long for that story-book white snowy winter. I am also so ready to break out the winter wardrobe. Thank goodness Second Life has me covered, here I get my snow, and a pretty stellar closet full of winter clothing. Speaking of clothing, this outfit is the most recent group gift at Vooh.

Vooh

There are actually several group gifts available at Vooh, Group Gift 76 is the most recent. I really like the look of this all-in-one outfit. The jacket, sweater dress, and undershirt are all one piece. I love that it makes me appear as though my hands are tucked warm into my pockets. Also, the outfit includes matching boots, and a beret (not worn). The jacket/sweater dress combo has a color change hud with several solid color options for the main part of the jacket, the dress, the undershirt, as well as the metal parts of the jacket. Additionally the hud will allow you to tint each part, and adjust things like glow and materials. The boots and beret have their own similar customization huds with matching color choices. The required Vooh store group has a join fee of 50 linden, which if you ask me is well worth it.

Hello Fab Free! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Mine was pretty great, I feel refreshed and ready to take on the weekly grind. As for this post I have some Spookzilla finds, and a few October group gifts to share. First, I’m slightly obsessed with bats, which made these lounge shorts and matching top by 1 Hundred absolutely irresistible. I also picked up some pretty must-have makeup group gifts at Purple Beauty, and ghoulish confection group gift from Palette.

1 Hundred at Spookzilla

1 Hundred has 8 total hunt prizes at the Spookzilla event. You’ll need to hunt down the little ghosts from 1 Hundred hidden around the Spookzilla sim. I picked up the “Night Wing” shirt and the matching “Night Wing” shorts for just 10 linden each. The top says “moonlight” across the front and has a purple bat on the back. The shorts have a high slit on either side.

Purple Beauty

I’m a sucker for good makeup, BOM layers, appliers, I’ll wear them both. For me makeup is just a fun form of self expression. Purple Beauty has two beautiful group gifts available. One is a BOM layer eyeshadow set, and the other is a glittery gloss set in a Catwa HD applier. The colors in both sets are vibrant and beautiful on. The Purple Beauty group has a join fee of just 50 linden.

Palette

This “Vampire Milkshake” group gift at Palette manages to be gory and cute. It also ties in nicely with my very relatable Angelina Jolie quote at the top of the post. This ghoulish beverage comes with a bento hold pose for the right or left, and a display version. The cup says “Happy Halloween” with little bats, also I love the little bat chocolates on the top! You’ll need to join the “Leggy Mainstore Official” group which is the store group for Palette to claim this gift. The group has a join fee of just 10 linden.

Fab Free Designer of the Week – BonBon

Hello hello Fabulous Fab Free’rs! It’s been time for a “Designer of the Week” style post for a minute now, so for today I’m happy to share with you BonBon. First, I want to point out that the grounds surrounding the BonBon main location are just beautiful. Definitely take a little time when you’re there to look around a bit. That said, BonBon is a cute little shop which mostly sells female hairstyles. The style of BonBon is very doll-like and cute, the term kawaii definitely comes to mind although there are plenty of hairstyles that could fit any look.

Along with the feminine hairstyles, you’ll find a few makeup items, and some equally doll-like clothing and accessories in gacha machines. Inside the entrance you’ll see the “circulation desk” as I call it, where you can access all of BonBon’s social media and the store group. Right now there are quite a few BonBon group gifts available, they are conveniently lined up on a shelf above the desk. You’ll also notice some of the gifts have a heart above them. One of those gifts is the current Fabulously Free in SL group gift, which you’ll likely recall seeing this super cute style in Aline’s post “Stay Safe.” There is also a free gift that is available exclusively on the Marketplace. Aline also showed us that gift in her pose “I Sparkle I Shine.” In addition to the gifts being displayed above the desk, the most recent of the gifts along with the Fabulously Free in SL gift are also available on the wall opposite the desk. To get the Fab Free group gift you will need the Fabulously Free in SL group tag. The Fab Free group is always free to join. For the BonBon group gifts, you’ll need to join the BonBon store group which does have a one-time join fee of 99 linden. Feels Like Summertime

Hello hello Fab Free’rs! Happy Saturday. In my post today I want to share with you the March group gift at PumeC and the Fabulously Free in SL group gift by Posh Tale. The combination of the two really made me daydream about warmer weather. I hope you like them both as much as I do.

The Skin – The March group gift at PumeC is a full skin with Genus head and body appliers for Maitreya, Slink, Belleza, and Omega  in all skin tones. This gorgeous gift also includes body only base skins in each tone, a default shape, and brow shaper. For me the best part o Free f this skin is the summery freckles across the forehead, cheeks, and nose. A Waltz into Darkness

Oh hi there Fab Free’rs! I’ve got some awesome group gifts to share with you. In my last post I celebrated the sweeter side of all the love and mush that comes along with Valentine’s Day. My Empire

In My Birthday Suit

It’s high time to head to the beach, I think.  Ok, it may only be March, and I believe snow is looming in many parts of the world, so quite frankly we need to soak up the rays right now, even if they are only in SL.  I found a really cute bathing suit at Lana that may just tickle your fancy!

Vitamin Sea

The salt water lapping at my legs is all I need to feel at peace today, though this bathing suit by Lana is seriously giving me those mid 90’s vibes that bring me back to a fun time and place in my life!  I mean, how can you say no to a hot pink suit with “Birthday Suit” printed across it?   So hot.  It comes with an HUD to um…. reveal some more of your upper body (cough, cough), you can also change the colour to a dizzying array of awesomeness.  It fits my Maitreya Lara body perfectly.  You can grab this fun bathing suit by joining the Lana group for 100L (there are other gifts up on the wall!).

Fab Free Designer Friday – 01/26/2018 – Circa Living

Hello hello Fab Free’rs! It seems I’d been “burning the midnight oil” where the Fab Free Designer Friday post is concerned. I really wanted to get this post out last night, but it just didn’t happen that way. My apologies for the lateness, however, I think browsing a shop like Circa Living might be a great way to spend a bit of your Saturday!

Circa Living is a shop that specializes in just about all things home related. Not to mention they have been part of Second Life almost since the beginning with 10 plus years of creating. At Circa Living you’ll find everything for inside the home from furniture to decor, and some outdoor furniture and landscaping as well. Not only can you find items for in the home and outside the home, you’ll find some houses too. One of the group gifts at Circa Living is  a skybox. I’m not sure if there is a specific style that could be attributed to Circa Living other than perhaps modern. There is such a wide range of fun and functional items to be had. There is certain to be something for everyone. There’s even a large teleporter at the entrance to Circa Living to help you get around. The same teleporter can be found as you enter the store, in the center of the circulation desk.

The Circa Living entrance leads you through a short hallway that also has info about events Circa Living is participating in on the walls. The hall leads you to the circulation desk at Circa Living, where you’ll be greeted by another teleporter, and quite a few group gifts. One such gift is the Halloween themed wreath decor which is FREE for all Fabulously Free in SL group members. Just wear your Fab Free group tag! The Circa Living group has a join fee of 500 linden. Once you join the Circa Living  group you’ll have instant access to all the currently available.
