I’ve always wanted a little getaway in the garden. Something cute, and yet not too precious. A place where I can read books, write letters, lounge about and have some peace & quiet. That little garden world doesn’t exactly exist for me in RL, but it sure does in SL!
Gardening for Free
My imaginary world of garden hideaways came to fruition with several freeFabFree group gifts. Elm is hosting their annual Valentine’s Day hunt, and it is crammed full of absolutely adorable decor prizes. You’ll find candles, artwork, balloons, flowers and just so much more. To take part, join the Elm group for 100L, then search the sim for the little fortune cookies hidden around the store. There are 12 prizes to find, and they’re just really nice. Spring seems to be in full bloom everywhere I go these days. Yes…even in RL! Which is quite shocking for my part of the world. I wore shorts this week! And it’s April! Gasp! Anyway, time to celebrate with a lovely tea party. I love any occasion for a happy gathering!
Spring Fling
Elm is currently hosting a scavenger hunt on their sim, and it’s another fun one. First thing to do is join the group for 50L, then grab a basket to wear (it will tell you how many of each egg you found). Start hunting for three types of eggs: Pink, Blue and Golden. Each type of egg grants you access to different sorts of prizes. You can exchange a certain number of each type of egg for a different prize. The rare delights cost 1 golden egg, the uncommon surprises cost 2 blue eggs, and the basic treats will cost you 3 pink eggs. When you’ve collected enough, head over to the prize board and click on the prize you want. I had a fun time hunting for the little egg nests hidden around the sim, and I got a whole bunch of awesome prizes for my garden party. There are some really beautiful items!
This hunt at Elm is running until April 30th, so you’ve still got some time to grab the goods!

I don’t know about y’all but I’ve just about run myself ragged! My little holiday helpers and I have been hard at work putting up the tree and decorations as well as the usual chores like laundry and cleaning before the holiday! We are all pooped. Why, even the little man can’t stifle a big yawn! (and one of the pups found some nice toasty laundry fresh out of the dryer for his nap!)
It’s been a super busy weekend, so it’s time for a little nap for the pups and some chill time for me. There will still be plenty to do before the holiday, like wrap gifts and bake Christmas cookies, etc etc! So I need to rest up too, so let’s talk about the goodies I have for you and then I can maybe grab a quick nap too! (any room left in that toasty laundry???)
Have yourself a Little Puppy Christmas…
So, its not a *new* group gift per se, but it was so fun to pull out of my archives this year and it is still available, and that’s my santa hat from Jian, which of course, in Jian style, is not without some cute! It’s got a sleeping puppy in it! Sooooo Squeeeee-able! For the cat people out there, the gift also comes with a kitten version.

Careless, whom we have blogged before has their entire line of furniture totally freeat Communal Bliss. I’m showcasing one of the pink sofas, behind me. They are all so well made, with great animations, and for freeyou can’t beat the price. Each set comes with loads of color choices and styles. I do confess I scooped them *all* up so I can change my decor at will! All the items are freeand there is no group needed.
Lastly, but not leastly, one more (sort of) practical item, my shoes. It has taken me near the entire month to get these but I finally got one of the Rare Shoes by Pure Poison at The Arcade. They are 50L a play. Yes, even the non rare ones are cute. 😉

Here I am gang, back again in stark contrast to my previous (solo – not the one where I am fending off a pack of wild redheads) post, I’m back to my old self again and catching up on some chores. Plants watered, check. Blog posts done, check. Rent paid, check. Laundry…. in progress!
Doing the laundry is much more fun when you can bring along some adorable cuteness with you to snuggle and smooch while you wait! My favorite part about laundry is when the dryer stuff comes out nice and toasty… ahhhhhh. Even if it is hot out for some reason, the heat in fresh laundry is so soothing. I wonder why that is. Do you know?
Of course with all my laundry needing to get done, I had to find a new outfit to wear while I washed the rest and so I headed over to the Free Dove, cause I haven’t been in a while, to see what newness they might have. I wasn’t disappointed of course because I found this to die for outfit (I may live in this and be buried in it!). I absolutely love the bohemian pattern on the top with the Indian elephants. Oh I LOVE LOVE LOVE. I know I show you all sorts of styles in my posts my friends, but bohemian (and my whimsical side LURVES Kawaii) is where my soul does a happy dance. I don’t find nearly as much bohemian as I would like nowadays, it feels like the entire grid is obsessed with jumpsuits lately. So when I do find it, get out of the way cause Imma gonna do a big ol happy dance!!!
Bonus points if I can find Bohemian and Pink combined! That’s absolutely ME to a T!

Happy Birthday to FabFree and Happy Rez Day to me. FabFree and I have grown up together since September 6, 2007. It sure has been an exciting and sometimes bumpy ride to get here 14 years later. About a week or so after Jacx was born, listening to music and dancing at my favorite club. I was talking about the struggle to find affordable clothing. I know we’re all starting to come to terms with the end of Gacha in Second Life, but I’m still a bit sad about it all.
