Alright, real talk. It’s getting on towards the end of February. We’re over a month and a half removed from new year’s resolutions. Surely it’s an appropriate time to joke about failed resolutions? Because that’s exactly what this top feels like to me and I’m for it.

You Make Me Feel

Um yeah, this post really got away from me, in the best of ways. I’ve really crammed in the group gifts. Stay with me here, there’s a lot to unpack (pun intended).

How It Started

There’s a new group gift out over at Pink Cream Pie. It’s these super cute plaid pants. The Pink Cream Pie group is 314L to join and there is a new group gift each month, 100L of store credit for group members each month, and a bunch of lucky boards.

And Then

I needed a top to wear with my pants, didn’t I? The answer is yes. So I popped over to Reed to pick up the current group gift, a free 500L store credit. The Reed Emporium group is free to join and the credit expires on November 11th. Mine did not last long. It was a hard decision but I’m wearing the Fanny top here which comes with pants too, and it was totally free with my store credit.

I Thought I Was Done

But Tutti Belli has a store credit out right now, too! The Tutti Belli group is free to join and you can pick up the free 800L store credit. You’ll have to use this one up a little faster, it expires on November 7th, but again mine was gone in a flash. One of the things I bought was a cute set of lip gloss that I’m wearing here.

Until Finally

While I was at Tutti Belli the scar on my face caught my eye (pun, unintended?). It was NOT something that could be purchased with the store credit, but it WAS only 29L. It didn’t appear to be any kind of limited time sale or anything. And I’m me so obviously exactly what my inventory needed was another scar. But I mean c’mon, only 29L!

Dressed Up from The Free Dove

The Free Dove, as most of you probably already know (since its been blogged numerous times here), has been around for nearly 18 years. It is the SLife’s work of ⒹoⓋє (palomma.casanova) and she has poured her heart and soul into it. You must join the group and wear the tag, it’s free to join, and once you do then you can click on all the gifts that you want on the bottom floor of the venue.

For this post I decided to get dressed there. Don’t worry, I kept clothes on…but as I shopped I picked up things I wanted to share with you and worked to coordinate them together to see how much of a look I could create. Please note there are loads of other awesome items too that I could have continued with but did not want to totally overwhelm you.

• The first thing is this pretty little black dress from REED. Aline blogged it back in February of 2021 in the animal print, so go check out her styling too! The dress is fit for Freya, Hourglass, Isis, Maitreya Physique and Venus bodies. The HUD allows you to change it between 6 prints/colors.
• REED also has the heels I’m wearing. They also are fit for Freya, Hourglass, Isis, Maitreya Physique and Venus bodies and have 6 colors on the HUD.

There are four other free things to show you still. I had to accessorize this look, of course.

• One more item set from REED is the jewelry. My bracelet, necklace (and hiding earrings) are all available in one box and are unrigged and resizeable.
• Next, my hair is a gift from FAGA. It comes in large and small, has 4 style choices on the HUD and 82 colors! There are more customization options on the HUD, too. Caroline wore it in another color back in August of last year.
• Finally for my makeup: my nails are a gift from GO! Makeup fit for Belleza, Legacy, Maitreya, Signature Alice and Slink. The HUD gives 8 nail polishes to wear. And my lipstick is a sampler from Shiny Stuffs with 3 red colors. They are for Lelutka Evo & Evo X only.

Have you noticed that I’m using a lot of white in my posts lately? Probably not, but it’s true. It’s nice to have some textures to slap on my photo background and add a little interest to a picture, or if you build there’s plenty here for you to discover and use in your creations.

It’s yet another perfect day to head to the beach.  Aren’t all days in SL perfect for the beach?  Well, this is definitely a very perfect one.  I’m back in bikini goodness, with an awesome drink.  I may not be American, but I wish all our readers in the US a very happy day of Americanisms!

Saki Event is in fully swing, and there are a bunch of free gifts to pick up.  You don’t even need to join a group, just click on the boxes and buy for 0L.  Be aware though that there are a few for 5L and 1L as well, so don’t just blindly click if you’re on a budget.  I picked up this lacy romper (donut city!) by Analogic for free, as well as the little choker by Reed which brings me back to high school when these things first came out (yes je suis old).  Anyway, not sure how long this event is running, so get on over there as soon as.
