Alpha Event

There’s a really cool event on right now called Alpha. It’s organized by the same folks that run the Access event. They are having their first year anniversary, which means lots of gifts. Most of the gifts are for men, but they also have some unisex items. I always do Mens’ events when they have free gifts on offer because I find nifty little things for women and lots of decor at these types of events. The anniversary round of the Alpha Event ends on March 17th. You need to join the free Access Updates group to get all the gifts here. Please note that this event is a MUST visit for any men out there, as the gifts for guys look very high quality and fantastic. Starla recently blogged some of the men’s gifts available at the event in her post here.

I had not picked up the group gift “No Candle” yet, and I just love it! This was the January group gift to celebrate 2023, but somehow I missed it until now. The hairstyle comes in a fatpack of colours and it also includes hair glitter in several different colours to match this elegant style.

On the 2nd Day of Christmas…

Here we are again for Day 2 of Advent Calendar hopping. Did you check out the amazing list that Aline put together yet? Today I have a mix of decor and fashion & beauty items to share with you.

All the Pretty Things

First I want to talk a bit about the decor I found. There are some gorgeous designs in the advent calendars this year.

• [CIRCA] Living has 4 gifts up for each yesterday and today. You need to be in the group to buy them, but the group is free . The gifts themselves are between L$0 and L$75 each. I am using bauble vases (up on the fireplace mantle) and the stacked gift sled from Day 1’s offerings. Both come in 2 color choices and are L$25 and L$50 respectively.
• Hutspot has another pretty little decor gift today as well. It’s the Ho Ho Ho wooden decor up on the fireplace mantle. Just a reminder that the calendar gifts are FREE at Hutspot and you don’t even need a group!
• I also want to point out the beautifully festive Christmas tree and wreath. They are available this weekend at FlyingArts as part of the Island Weekend Sale. So be sure to go check that out! FlyingArts has an advent calendar as well, also FREE and no group needed.

Free the Mind: Imagination Vibrations

Second Life is about imagination.  We can do things, see things, BE things in Second Life that we can only dream about.  It’s a fantasy world where we each get to be a star.

Monarchs Kingdom is not a store.  They are a performance dance troupe, and you can attend their live shows or watch their videos here.  So how, you ask, did they end up on the FabFree blog???

Each month, their creator, Royal Shippe, places a group gift of decor out for free.  Royal isn’t any ordinary dance designer, he’s won awesome awards like the Avichoice Performance Artist of the Year.  The gifts are elaborate set pieces from the many awesome shows he’s created.  They are 100% original.

The April gift (called the Megapack Holo Trees & Humanoid Statues) is pictured above includes a whole set of large and small holographic trees in a variety of colors and this sculpture called Corellia (which comes with a mirror).  I paired the set with a post set from Something New called Dress Me Again that is currently available at Cheeky Wow for a sweet 50L!!!

If you love backdrops as much as I do, you will LOVE the monthly gifts.

Three Lovely Lindens!

What can 2L buy you?  Well, if you are a FabFree Goddess…a lot!  This adorable little outfit was just 2L on Marketplace from our friends over at Cherie Couture.  You get the outfit, the ears, and the basket! And, yes, there is a wee cotton tail! It’s all system clothes, but the new trick of “ADD” will have you dolled up in seconds.  The basket can be worn or rezzed.  ALL THIS CUTENESS FOR TWO LIL LINDENS!

The Look of the Week!

My heart breaks when one of my favorite designers leaves the grid.  Had you known me 12 years ago, you would know I as one of the Rebel Hope Super Fans.  But, sadly, that store is no more.  Purple Moon, one of FAVORITE designers, left the grid a while back.  Each design was unique and there were just amazing deals each week for fresh NEW styles not found other places. Their Advent Calendar was, hands down, the very best on the grid.   My heart broke when Purple Moon closed up shop.

But, I am happy to report, Purple Moon is BACK!!!  Now Called PM, they are sporting a smaller boutique with fabulous fresh designs and updates for previous threads.  There are Group Gifts (99L Group Fee) and Lucky Chairs, but my new fave?  The Look of the Week!  Pictured above, the Look of the week offers up one design for 55L.  This adorable little jumper is just in time to usher in the Spring!  This jumper will be available until April 4th, so run, ladies!

Say Yes to ANOTHER Dress!

I love love love weddings.  If you’ve read some of my previous posts like this one, you know I am always trying to help a girl say YES to a cheap dress!!!  And, who knows, one of these days Angus might even propose!  He definitely gets a lot of practice suiting up in his tux!

I was on my weekend rounds looking for EVEN MORE lipstick.  I mean, really, how much virtual lipstick can a girl use???  But, I also had a hankering for a wedding dress that is affordable.  All those Valentine Proposals are nearing fruition, right?  I can’t let you girls hang!  I couldn’t find anything affordable, so I went on over to Marketplace and on my FIRST TRY found this amazing Nia gown from Tiffany Designs for just 45L!

I love that the flexi is optional.  I loved the little shoulder sparkly veil thing, but maybe that’s not your thang.  No worries!  Just detach.  Don’t want the added sparkly train?  Only want it on one side?  Want all the sparkles for your service but not the reception?  NO WORRIES!  Detach, attach, whatever your heart wants!
