TGIF Fabulouses!  It’s Friday again, and you know what that means… YES – we can sleep in tomorrow, but also – It’s the day we like to feature designers of our Fabulous Designer 2.0 Program!  This week we have elected to show off Storax Tree!  Kate McLaglen of Storax Tree, who calls herself “Artist, Student, Traveler, Content Creator” in her Second Life Profile has been a resident for nearly 10 years and has built up her store inventory to a massive amount of over 8000 items inworld and on marketplace.

Heyya FabFree!

I spied this swell little number at Eclectic Stars curtesy of our own FabFree Designers notices and I had to pick it up. ‘Cause 1950s, baby!

This is the Swing Dress in ‘Atomic’ and you can pick it up too for free. Just put on your Fabulously Free Group tag and slap the board. A modern twist

Good afternoon, FabFree readers,

I almost missed out on one of the very best Hunts going on in Second Life. The Twisted Hunt: Divination only runs until September 30th but the prizes are well worth the hurry. This is the ‘Modern Celtic Jacket’ from Goth 1c0 and it’s one such prize. The beautifully built jacket with hood comes in the standard mesh sizes XS-XL and has a good alpha layer. The hood with the rather hawkish look to it, is part of the jacket itself. There is also a lovely lady’s gift hidden at Goth 1c0 as well. But, as I said, the Hunt only lasts until the 30th so don’t delay.

Falling Stars

Hello and Happy Hump Day Fab Free! I have a quick post for you today featuring FREE jewelry from Graffitiwear and a dollarbie manicure by Sparkle Bunny. So let’s get right to it. I really like this jewelry set from Graffitiwear, especially the idea of falling stars. There are so many happy things my mind associates with falling stars that I couldn’t help wanting this set. Heartbreaker

House of Ruby has out a new line of T-shirts for men and they are real heartbreakers in the making… you can get one in the color blue for the promo price of just 56L off the Marketplace. The shirt comes in system layers as well as Slink and Omega Appliers for mesh bodies.

I did some checking around and paired the colorful T-shirt with facepaint which I found as a past group gift at Zibska. In fact there is an entire wall out of past group gifts that include make up, jewelry, and more. The group is 200L to join, but it’s a one time fee, and after joining, you’ll be able to fill your inventory with lots of boxes to open. The Marsh face paint comes in a full fatpack of 7 colors and you’ll get system layers as well as and Omega applier for mesh heads.

I tossed on an oldie but goodie to finish off the look… Wicca’s Wardrobe is another group that leaves out their past group gifts for customers to enjoy. Well I Love A Rainy Night

Hello there Fabulous Readers!! Previously on Fabulously Free in SL, you have seen blog posts done featuring group gifts and lucky board prizes at a really nice shop called M*Motion.  Most recently, the Business Outfit I picked up as a lucky board prize [HERE], and the Secretary Dress that I found as a free group gift [HERE].  Both of which are still available along with plenty of others to be taken advantage of, but they have also spoiled us with a brand new free group gift that I am showing off in my photo today.

Just the Highlights

For a limited time, Paisley Daisy has lowered their group join to only 10L so you can pick up their group gifts at a bargain. The August and September group gifts are both out. I’m showing you the pretty dress from August in the picture above and the September group gift is a sheer baby doll dress. The one pictured above is mesh in all the standard sizes and I felt it highlighted the last few days of nice weather… so it’s name was just perfect.

Today is also 25L Tuesday, and I was thrilled to discover beautiful shoes at Luas! These Dorothy shoes come in Slink or Maitreya fits in the box and you can get a choice of 8 colors for only 25L each. I picked up the ivory, but you may want to pick up something different… or one of each!

I finished off my flowery look with a pretty necklace I found from Clever & Cool on the marketplace. This necklace was only 10L. When I first put it on, it had some serious bling, so I was skeptical, but then I discovered that I could turn that off by typing “bling off” into local chat and ta da! No more bling! It also allows for resizing and retexturing of the flowers into many different color choices besides the pink stones shown… so your 10 little Linden gets you a lot of necklace.

Fall Feelings

Hello there Fab Free’rs! Can you believe it’s almost October!? I’m so ready for all things fall I can barely contain my excitement. Needless to say when I saw this incredibly girly coat from Vintage Touch, I had to share it with you. The coat is the current group gift at Vintage Touch and it comes in standard mesh sizes and one fitmesh. I love the style and the pattern of this coat/dress. The rose pattern reminds me of vintage English Tea Rose patterns that always catch my eye. The gift also comes with some stockings in a classic system layer, and an Omega applier that I did not show. I chose to throw on a pair of jeans and boots to wear the gift as a coat rather than a dress. To add this pretty coat to your own wardrobe, you’ll need to join the Vintage Touch in-world group. The Vintage Touch group is 1 linden to join.
To go along with my fancy new coat, I picked up this pretty pink crystal necklace from Imbue. There are several group gifts available at Imbue, this simple yet pretty necklace is the most recent. Like tea roses, I’m kind of a sucker for crystals. The necklace comes in a rigged and unrigged mesh version, and you have the option of either a gold or silver pendant. Both are strung on a thin black cord. To get this gift at Imbue, simply join their updates group in world. There is a one time fee of 50 lindens, however the gifts currently available are worth the fee.

Hey FabFree!

One of my favorite things about Second Life is finding fun flirty clothes that I’d love to wear in real life. And that’s what I found at Clementine, a new-to-me designer. I stumbled on this cool designer through Third Life, a freebies and hunts group in world. This is ‘Alana’ and it’s the free gift for Third Life group members from Clementine. Alana comes in the standard mesh sizes XS-XL, Fitmesh XS-XL and appliers for SLink, Maitreya and Belleza.  I love the fun this fun look, I think it’s perfect to hit the dance floor in.

The Third Life Group is a tiny little five Lindens to join and you’ll find tons of great things each month. The Alana dress is the September gift from Clementine so don’t wait too long to nab it!
