Wishing for Winter

It’s the time of year in my world physical and virtual that I start to wish for snow. Perhaps because I almost never get to experience temperatures cold enough for snow where I live, I find that I long for that story-book white snowy winter. I am also so ready to break out the winter wardrobe. Thank goodness Second Life has me covered, here I get my snow, and a pretty stellar closet full of winter clothing. Speaking of clothing, this outfit is the most recent group gift at Vooh.

There are actually several group gifts available at Vooh, Group Gift 76 is the most recent. I really like the look of this all-in-one outfit. The jacket, sweater dress, and undershirt are all one piece. I love that it makes me appear as though my hands are tucked warm into my pockets. Also, the outfit includes matching boots, and a beret (not worn). The jacket/sweater dress combo has a color change hud with several solid color options for the main part of the jacket, the dress, the undershirt, as well as the metal parts of the jacket. Additionally the hud will allow you to tint each part, and adjust things like glow and materials. The boots and beret have their own similar customization huds with matching color choices. Foxy November

When the temperature is perfect, the sun is shining, and the air is crisp and cool I can’t resist the allure of spending some time outdoors. It’s good for the psyche. Speaking of goodness, it doesn’t hurt to look good while you’re taking a moment to feel good. Pink Cream Pie and Demicorn have lovely new group gifts out, and I can’t help but feel extra cute wearing them.

One of the things I love about fall the most is being outdoors and enjoying the sights, sounds, and smells of the season. Another fall love is fashion. Over It

Finally the weather outside made me want to put on a jacket rather than lift my hair off the back of my neck. It has been an unusually cool day, even for September. Love and Aline may be clinging to summer, but I don’t mind telling you I’m over it. Give me crisp cool air, fall leaves, bonfires, and all the deliciousness that summer is just too hot for. I also love a good fall wardrobe which wouldn’t be complete without a good jacket. The jacket I’m wearing is part of a group gift newly available at Star Sugar. While picking up my new favorite jacket, I also found a handful of free gifts at Star Sugar, one of which was this cute start studded bag. Needless to say I couldn’t resist. Star Sugar

First, the initial thing that drew me to this jacket by Star Sugar were the little bats. I love them! That said, the jacket is a group gift at Star Sugar, along with a matching skirt which I did not wear. The Jacket comes in several pastel colors, all with black trim and little black bats around the bottom. The skirt and jacket are fit for Maitreya Lara only. The Star Sugar group has a join fee of 50 linden, and there are multiple group gifts available including this one recently blogged by Juli. Below is a copy of the vendor photo so you can see the cute buttoned skirt and the sweet pastel colors the jacket comes in.

As I mentioned, there are several free gifts that do not require a group tag at Star Sugar. The gift that caught my eye the most was this cool little star studded bag. This freebie has a hold pose that actually worked with my mixed priority AO. Additionally the free bag comes in the black version shown, as well as yellow, blue, green, pink, and white. Definitely pick this one up!

The Pumpkins Stay

Hey There Fab Free’rs! So I’ve decided I can let go of Halloween, but the pumpkins gotta stay. At least until the end of November! Especially this barbed wire pumpkin candle holder by Reka. It’s a free group gift for members of the Reka group. The Reka group is also free to join. I sometimes have a soft spot for things like barbed wire re-purposed into art and the shabby-chic aesthetic.

Speaking of shabby-chic, I think these cute potted succulents fit the description as well. I picked them up for free at the Gacha Garden event. I actually picked up quite a few fantastic free gifts at the current Gacha Garden round. There are tons! The gifts at Gacha Garden require you to wear the Gimme Gacha event group tag. This group is free to join. The succulent gift is by Your Dreams. It comes with a single plant that you can copy and modify.

Next up on my little gift grabbing adventure through the Gacha Garden, this hair. I know Juli already showed you this cute free hairstyle by Fabia in her post “Fab Mad“, but who can resist that hat?! It’s another of the free gifts and it comes in a set of red hair color choices.

Pru’s other-worldly olive colored eyes are the free Gacha Garden gift from Lotus. These eyes come in Lelutka Appliers, Catwa Appliers, and a set of mesh eyes. There are 5 beautiful pupil-less color choices.

It has been a while since Pru had multiple piercings. This piercing set by Supernatural made me wonder why it’s been so long. The set is quite pretty, and is yet another free gift at Gacha Garden. The set includes 4 piercings that can be worn separately or together. There is a full set in gold, and one in silver. A color change hud for the gemstone part of the piercings is also included.

Lastly, I know you can’t see much of it, my apologies, however the wooden coffee table everything is sitting on is also a free gift at Gacha Garden. Its by a shop called Rassuel. The table is short and rectangular, with a single shelf and square legs. It’s a great basic modern looking furniture piece.

Today was definitely a big cozy sweater day for me. I wanted nothing more than to curl up on my sofa, have some coffee or maybe some warm tea and watch movies… all day. Hello hello Fab Free’rs! I hope you’ve had a chance to enjoy the past weekend. I personally have been thankful for the reprieve from Real Life that Second Life offers. As it’s been mentioned multiple times already, sweater season is in full swing, and I’m never tired of hearing that. If given a choice, I’ll take sweater weather over any other type of weather! With that in mind, I was out shopping recently and came across a group gift at The Little Bat that I hadn’t seen before. This group gift sweater was the inspiration for this look, instant ’90s nostalgia for this girl! A grunge rock anthem playing in my mind I found a lace choker from CHAIN on the Marketplace, and finished the look with a gift hairstyle by Alice Project that I picked up at Hairology.

This over-sized black sweater with plaid accents is exactly the kind of sweater I want to wear with some leggings while I curl up, have a cup of coffee, and read a book or binge watch my favorite tv show. I also think it’s totally cute with jeans and some boots. It’s the perfect “Netflix and Chill” kind of sweater. Hello Again Fab Free’rs! I’m happy to be here sharing the freebie love with you! Today’s post features my favorite type of shirt, sweaters/sweatshirts, and my favorite style of necklace, a choker. It’s not often that the two items look well together, but I think it made it work! I hope you like them.

For me one of the best things about fall is it’s generally the beginning of sweater weather. Unfortunately that hasn’t been the case for me this year in real life, it’s still a tad too warm for sweaters. Thankfully I get to retreat to Second Life and enjoy the sweaters anyway. You Were Always on My Mind

Hello hello Fab Free’rs! I’m excited to share with you an almost complete look that I think is not only fantastically cute, but Fabulously inexpensive. I’m really pleased with how this look came together. I love the colors, and I think it’s a cute casual look for the cooler weather. Not to mention there’s something essential about a hoodie for the fall.

Cynful Clothing Co. recently switched out the items in their lucky boards. If you’ve never been to Cynful, the store has several group only lucky boards all with quality women’s clothing. The mustard yellow hoodie Pru has on is one of the several FREE lucky board prizes to be had at Cynful. It’s fully mesh and comes with an optional zipper attachment for added detail, as well as a color change hud to adjust the color of the inner shirt, the hood strings, and the zipper attachment. The hoodie is technically a dress, and it is long enough to be worn without pants.
When I first put this hoodie dress on, I knew I wanted to wear leggings and boots with it. It gives the look of a comfortable casual outfit while still being stylish. These applier leggings are a Marketplace dollarbie by Offline. I couldn’t ask for the colors in these patterned leggings to match more perfectly with the hoodie, and I really like the sort of bohemian feel the leggings give the complete look. For a final touch I added this pretty purple nail polish by Hello Dave. Sometimes I like my manicure to very obviously match my outfit, and other times I like it to stand out a little. Fall Feelings

Hello there Fab Free’rs! Can you believe it’s almost October!? I’m so ready for all things fall I can barely contain my excitement. Needless to say when I saw this incredibly girly coat from Vintage Touch, I had to share it with you. The coat is the current group gift at Vintage Touch and it comes in standard mesh sizes and one fitmesh. I love the style and the pattern of this coat/dress. The rose pattern reminds me of vintage English Tea Rose patterns that always catch my eye. The gift also comes with some stockings in a classic system layer, and an Omega applier that I did not show.
